Guest Reviews
- Sara (9/5): - Caravan is great lovely views and close to amenities Feel like it needs a deep clean and maybe a wee refresh
- Siobhan (9/5): - The location was great with a lovely view. It was very peaceful.
Had plenty of kitchen equipment and lots of little extras.
- Bethke (7/5): Mieliśmy bardzo udany pobyt dziękujemy ! - Lokalizacja i odległość od morza Może nie było super czystko ale było ok
- cmhx88 (8/5): - Excellent location, with beautiful views. Host was very helpful. Beds were comfy. In my opinion the only thing I would say is it could do with a bit of a clean, but it didnt spoil our stay
- Gary (8/5): - Nice and cosy and my children enjoyed it we would book again, only thing that spoilt it for us was the gale force wind on Saturday evening was rocking the caravan and the walls were moving in and out but was a lovely stay 😀 The wind but still was lovely and the view was nice
- Dawn (9/5): Clean and comfortable caravan. - Lovely clean and comfortable caravan. The gated wrap around decking was so handy for the dogs. Nice views and close to the beach. We also walked the coastal walk to Newbiggin with the dogs. We booked the caravan as a base to visit relatives in the area, however we enjoyed the caravan and the site. I can't comment on the sites facilities as we didnt use them. The owner responded instantly and resolved a small problem we had with streaming Netflix. We would definately return. The central heating did not work in the lounge/dining area however there was an electric fire.
- Nicola (9/5): Will be definitely booking again, perfect location for exploring - Lovely and cosy with everything you need for a relaxing break Nothing
- Joanne (9/5): A lovely weekend break away in a lovely accommodation that had everything that was needed. - Caravan had everything that was needed. Was clean and comfortable, lovely location with a view over the bay and Cambois. Watching the rabbits hopping happily about first thing in the morning was lovely. The weather wasn't great for our stay but if it had of been better then the decking would have been a lovely advantage, unfortunately didn't really get to sit out and enjoy the view from outside but that was the time of year not a reflection on the accommodation. The weather!!
The roller blind that covered the patio doors was broken and didn't go down, however this was of minimal inconvenience as the location of the caravan and time of year meant there weren't really any passer bys, however I would imagine the summer months it would be required for more privacy.
- Lindley (8/5): - The view was lovely and it was very peaceful I hadn't realized that parking was not next to the property...there was no path and it was very muddy
- Darren (9/5): -
- Stephenson (10/5): Loved it here - I loved everything about it. Our stay here was wonderful. The tranquillity and privacy were a huge plus. The kitchen was so well equipped and the place was lovely. I would definitely return and recommend this place to anyone. Nothing
- Adam (8/5): -
- Natalie (8/5): Lovely stay, just wouldn’t return on the pet front - Nice that it was overlooking the water. Great kettle! I didn’t realise they allow pets so if I had known I wouldn’t have stayed. This is personal preference as I don’t have animals. You could definitely smell it when you arrived. Single beds very uncomfortable for my daughter so she slept with me.
- Emma (10/5): We had the most gorgeous stay even in the bleak weather we relaxed and had some lovely family time. - Loved the interior . It felt super homey and was a really good size. The muddy grass. But then we did visit in February!
- Leigh (10/5): It was a relaxing, quiet break, which was just what we needed. - The property was very tastefully decorated and neat and tidy. Nice views of the sea and river. Very quiet and private. Not far from a number of great towns. The ground leading up to the property was very boggy due to the rain. Not the owner's fault at all, and they even recommended that we wear suitable footwear, which was very helpful advice.

- Sarah (6/5): Lovely property but the site facilities and staff were very poor. - The property was lovely it was clean and well presented and the owners were organised in sending an access code for the key and location. It had a lovely view and ease of access to the beach which was beautiful. It’s not a dislike of the property itself as that was lovely but the park dean staff were rude and unhelpful my little girl couldn’t go swimming because they said it was booked up and had been for 12 weeks but they wanted me to risk buying passes at nearly £20 per day per person to chance that someone may cancel which is silly because this was a slim chance and also we couldn’t book any activities because we didn’t have the passes but everything was fully booked also so that would of been a complete waste of money. None of the take aways on the site were open when they stated on the signage so we went off site to the local area. In the end we actually left a day early as there was very little to do to keep my daughter occupied.
- Gerlie (8/5): Worth staying there. - The place was really comfortable. Just 3-5 min walk to the beach and the river. The owner was very responsive to all the queries and adjustments. We regretted that we only booked for 2 nights. Nothing really.
- Sarah (10/5): Cosy winter stay, lovely little place, great location for beach walks and nature. - Lovely stay, very cosy, good communication from host , easy to get the key, glad I took the warning about footwear seriously! Make sure to pack wellies. Would have liked to give it a proper clean before leaving but couldn’t find a hoover, apologies for that. Will definitely stay again, and highly recommend it! Anything I didn’t like was out of the hosts control so won’t be commenting on this.
- Kerry (10/5): Definitely be back - The location was stunning, nothing beats lying in ned listening to the waves.
The host was extremely helpful, informative and accommodating.
The accommodation was superb. It felt more like a home instead of a caravan. The fittings, furniture and decor are fantastic.
Such a comfortable bed to sleep in. I didn't like we had to come home!
- Maureen (9/5): Peace & quiet in lovely surroundings - Lovely decor, clean, everything you needed, very thoughtfully set up & great location
- N Morgan (10/5): Lovely caravan, stunning views - Perfect location, plenty room, huge decking overlooking the estuary, towels and beds made uo on arrival. Kitchen was well equipped even an air fryer! Great value for money, we can't wait to visit again in the spring/summer! Nothing
- Adam (10/5): usually stay in hotels for work but they are impersonal, found the chalet comfortable and relaxing - As we were arriving very late, the owner kindly took the time to go in earlier and switch all the lights on to make it easier for us to find. everything was fine, nothing to dislike
- Robert (10/5): -
- Amy (9/5): -
- Cameron (8/5): Excellent, a lovely break in a great location. - It was a beautiful caravan, great location, clean and comfortable. Only a very short walk to the beach. The shower was not very hot but safe for children.
- Pink (9/5): -
- Paul (7/5): -
- laura (10/5): - The accommodation was perfect, very clean with everything you need. The view was amazing and so close to the beach. There were plenty of things to keep the kids entertained! Nothing
- sarah (8/5): - Location is lovely, and it had everything we needed for our stay.
- Jennie (6/5): Nice stay although needs tlc. - Beautiful location overlooking the estuary with wild rabbits literally right outside the van. The bed was super comfy and the area of the park was nice and quiet. The place needs some tlc and a good clean, also a top up on basic essentials e.g. plates, cutlery, glasses etc. Also the decking is collapsing and feels dangerous to walk on. It was quite difficult to work the heating - just need some instructions to help.
- alina (8/5): -
- Michelle (9/5): - Lovley place next to sea loads of wild life rabbit playing beside caravan very warm and clean nice beds Should of book longer ..
- Julie (8/5): Thoroughly enjoyable stay - Property was very comfortable and roomy. It’s in a great location in a lovely area. Very quiet as well There were some minor issues with appliances
- Heathcote (10/5): Fabulous location - The location was fabulous, a beautiful view over the estuary & plenty of wildlife right outside. The accommodation was clean, comfortable & spacious. People very friendly & contact from owners was excellent. Nothing
- Claire (8/5): We had a wonderful time and would recommend to anyone needing a good value stay. - The location is perfect on the site. The views are amazing.
- laura (7/5): - It's a lovely little caravan, we loved the wooden beams, the detail around the living space and the history of the area in the pictures of the wall. All of the little details made it quite unique and lovely, they're about the history of river, the pictures and the cool little lights were really lovely-was nice and cosy on a night. The double room was lovely and big too. Working TVs with loads of apps was good too when people just needed some quiet time to chill out. It's in a nice quiet part of the park too, a short walk to the entertainment, but far enough to not hear It at night! It was lovely sitting outside watching the tide come and go and the little rabbits hopping around. It's literally right next to a path down to the beach too, we had some gorgeous morning walks. Overall we really enjoyed the stay, not sure we'd be back to sandy bay but that's just personal preference. The only thing we'd say was it could maybe do with a bit of a refresh/ deep clean- the outdoor furniture has seen better days, so we didn't use the egg chair or swing chair incase they broke which was a bit of a shame and some of the utensils and plates pans etc needed a wash first, shower curtain could do with replacing. But other than that it was lovely.
- Steph (10/5): Stunning location which recharged the batteries ! - I loved how close it is to the beach, and how dog friendly it is. We were out most days but waking up to the views was the best part of this mini break ! The owners are lovely and approachable and quick to respond to any queries.
The facilities were good and the cooker warms up quickly ! And the stay is situated very close to the club house and coastal walks!
The beds were very comfy and I loved the on suit toilet in the main bedroom. Lots of storage space for suitcases and clothes.
Overall lovely! I think what’s needed is updated outside furniture and there is a sofa within the caravan but it needs a single arm chair also. We were three adults and one child and I sat on the foot stool a few times as I was a bit squashed.
- Fiona (7/5): - Location. It met our needs for a 2 night stay enroute to Scotland.
- Keira (8/5): Peaceful Break - Perfect location for the beach and peaceful as furthest away from the entertainment area The kids beds were not great. Very thin material on top of springs. Kids slept with me.
- Nicole (8/5): Great family holiday. - The location of caravan was great. Beautiful views and lovely to sit out on the decking.
The kitchen was well equiped with everything you would need.
The beds were really comfy and there was lots of storage space throughout the van.
I loved the feature wall and the frames.
As a family of 4 we loved our stay and would definitely return. The boiler pressure kept dropping.
No free WiFi (you have to buy Parkdean package) not a massive issue.
The windows were full of hand prints.
As there are carpets throughout the van it would be great if there was a small hoover available as the floors did get a bit grubby.
- Susan (9/5): Superb - The view across the estuary and being able to.relax on the decking Had some difficulty locating property
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional - Had amazing time with the family and the weather was brilliant, the kids loved the beach the most
- Catherine (3/5): Poor - Location,staff Accommodation
- Sheila (8/5): Very good - Lovely cozy caravan with great views Cutlery could be a bit better quality, and even though the swing chair was great the varanda could do with a bit attention, very wobbly and the entrance post could do with having a top on
- Jamie (9/5): Superb -
- Lewis (9/5): Superb -
- Deon (8/5): Loved it stunning place to just chill - Loved the location, beautiful view with a fab deck to enjoy it from, ideal fit daily walks on the beach, holiday home was lovely, bed was very comfortable, shower was great. Kitchen was fine for cooking the air fryer was a great touch I’m now a convert! Plus was it was pooch friendly which made my stay very enjoyable. Would be nice to have parking next to holiday home but just one of those park life issue
- Margaret (9/5): Very nice and had the weather been better, then it would have been great. - We loved the near location to the beach, it proved a great dog friendly place. We had a problem with locking up the property due to a broken lock, but other than that it was fine.
- Amy (8/5): Very good -
- Heidi (8/5): Very good - It had lots of stuff in it- like essentials for cooking etc The boiler kept dropping pressure and the heating needed to be on as it was cold
- Jade (4/5): Location is great to connect to local areas but definitely no more than a 3 star caravan. - Keys available on arrival and easy to find. Host provided a light in the caravan on as we arrived late.
Large bed is nice and cosy. The boiler preaure dropped 4 times and the property was freezing!!! Drafts everywhere as well. The caravan although tidy didn't feel clean, had an awful smell and dust and grimness on utensils.
The gate didn't shut outside
Very little cleaning supplies
Guests spitting outside the caravan
Dogs barking a lot.
- Sally (8/5): Lovely views and really good location for exploring Northumberland. - Great location, lovely caravan. It had everything we needed to stay for a couple of days. Beds were comfy. Nothing really. Some bits a little tired/needed a better clean but overall it was absolutely fine.
- Mhairi (9/5): Very comfortable caravan - Caravan was great. The homeliest caravan we have ever stayed in. It had everything we could need, comfortable and a decent shower!
Location was beautiful and a very short walk down to the river/beach which was great for the dogs. Lovely walk along the coast to Newbiggin took us about 30-45mins.
You do have to pay extra to use the pool and entertainment and as we were only there for 2 nights didn’t feel it was worth it as we would have only used the pool once. Prices on site are pretty high and the food from the onsite take aways wasn’t very good at all. However lots of great options in Newbiggin. We had lunch at The Queens Head, great beers, food and dog friendly. We also did a ‘spy trail’ in Newbiggin which you can download online for about £10 which was a great way to see the town and learn about some of its history. Unfortunately we got the code wrong and ‘The couple gazing out to sea” were stolen 😂.
All in all we had a fantastic stay here and will hopefully be back at some point in the future.
- Caroline (8/5): Comfortable stay and great value for money - Lovely location, very comfy beds. Great shower. The caravan was very warm too, considering we had rather stormy weather .
Beautiful local walks nearby. Lots of dog hairs everywhere, we don't have dogs so wouldn't recommend anyone staying here unless they are bringing a pet.
Dated / tired interior but is functional.
Unclear check in information and no check out information. Ideally, a whatthreewords for location would make things so much easier for night time arrivals.
- Caroline (8/5): Very good - Perfect location for beach and or country walks with or dog Poor heating in living room, had to use fire all of the time we were in the van otherwise you needed blankets, shower not child friendly, you can turn to full hot without having to press the button
- Sarah (8/5): Very good - The accommodation was perfect, with a lovely view. .the kitchen was well equipped, I didn't realise that when I booked, the facilities on the site were closed, I only found out when I received the welcome email, I booked because they had a pool and I like to swim most days
- Gaynor (8/5): Very good -
- Alex (10/5): Beautiful, such a nice Christmas with my daughter 🥰 - Beautiful, just a lovely cosey homely feel First aid kit was needed after a disaster in the kitchen but didn’t hinder my stay I’d go back
- Gillian (8/5): Very good - View. Comfortable bed .nice shower. Only thing was dog hairs were all over the floor. Throws . Everywhere, which wasn't nice.
- Gail (8/5): Great stay. Great host, very responsive. - X X
