• Vera (10/5): Het is een heerlijke plek, je voelt je er direct thuis. - Een zo goed als nieuw huisje, mét een hottub dat we mochten gebruiken! Alles was prima in orde! De eigenaar is bijzonder vriendelijk, komt uit Oostenrijk. Ze trainen paarden en houden schapen voor de hobby. We mochten altijd komen kijken.

Upon arrival we made the manager aware of the kitchen that was piled with dishes, dirty sink water and overflowing trash. She said "housekeeping would do a deep clean the following day". House cleaning did nothing except empty the trash and leave the trash bag in the middle of the floor. The shower had brown slime because it didn't drain properly, the bath sink drain had been removed and not replaced, the lighting didnt work. Other repairs needed: kitchen sink had hardly any water pressure and the flue for the range vent had never been completed. Bottom sheets were very pilly and uncomfortable. Windows were dirty

• fabienne (8/5): Séjour très agréable - Un bel appartement bien meublé, tout le nécessaire dans la cuisine pour se préparer à manger Nous n’avons eu aucune indication sur les modalités d’entrée (barrière à l’entrée fonctionnant avec numéro de téléphone)ni sur les chambres qui nous étaient destinées. Une salle de bains partagée pour 4 chambres soit 7 personnes semble être un peu juste.

• Jesús (7/5): Recomendable - El alojamiento es fabuloso, todo muy nuevo, la cama muy cómoda, y los anfitriones muy cordiales y accesibles. En los 3 días que estuvimos, nadie limpió las zonas comunes (cocina y baños). Nosotros lo intentamos mantener limpio pero no éramos los únicos usuarios, había más huéspedes en otras habitaciones que también utilizaban las zonas comunes. Creo que se debería incluir una limpieza diaria al menos en los baños. Por lo demás, todo bien.

• Anita (9/5): - Great setting. Set in a real village in one of the only settlements near the big southern and eastern glaciers. Very nice breakfast and bar area. Great, modern bathrooms.
• Kurt (7/5): Great property but 8 people per bathroom - Newly renovated, modern and well furnished with fully equipped kitchen. Rooms 1 through 4 are upstairs and enjoy two dining areas and a living room and a deck with lots of light in the spaces. There's a hot tub in the backyard next to the horse pasture which was a great place to relax each evening and chat with the other guests. We peeked in the basement area where rooms five through eight were and those rooms are decidedly darker because they're half underground but also fully renovated and nicely appointed. The only issue to be aware of at this location is that four rooms, which means up to eight people, share one bathroom on each floor. Luckily, it was not an issue for the two nights we were there but, one could imagine it clearly being an issue if some guests were not efficient or courteous about time in the bathroom. Or if someone was ill and needed a lot of time in the bathroom, it could be a real problem. They should really consider adding at least a half bath so there is another toilet available. I would give the property a 10 rating if not for this shared bath issue.

• Mona (10/5): Highlight unserer ersten Island Tour! - Alles furchtbar! Nein Spaß. War bisher auf unserer Island-Reise die mit Abstand beste Unterkunft. Wir kamen an und wurden herzlich begrüßt und noch auf ein Bier eingeladen. Die Gastfamilie kommt aus Tirol und bewirtschaftet dort einen Pferdehof. Sie wohnen im Haus nebenan und wir wurden auf ein Bier eingeladen. Nach 30 Minuten waren wir Teil der Familie. Es war perfekt für unsere Tagesausflüge von der Lage her. Der HotPot ist einfach auch klasse. Die Gemeinschaftsräume wurden täglich gereinigt und die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet. Die Matratzen waren richtig klasse! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder - auch nach Tirol. Nichts. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben.

• David (10/5): Loved it, would happily stay here again. - Fantastic location with wonderful view over the valley. Short drive to the local attractions including the Geysir, Gullfoss and Bruarfoss. Excellent kitchen (shared) with everything you could need to cook. Shared lounge was also very homely and comfortable. Shared bathroom was spacious and clean. Nothing! Would highly recommend.

• Thurid Josefin (10/5): - Das Gästehaus entspricht den Bildern und ist einfach toll eingerichtet und ebenfalls gut ausgestattet. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in den unteren Bereich und hatten nicht den Wahnsinn Ausblick wie auf den Bildern. Dies hat dem Zimmer und Aufenthalt aber keinen Abbruch getan. Wir haben die Räumlichkeiten oben genutzt und hatten daher dennoch was von der tollen Aussicht. Der Hot Tub war ebenfalls einfach nur toll und ist sofort nutzbar und hat einen mega Ausblick. Nach Rücksprache mit dem Besitzer durften wir sogar in den Pferdestall nebenan und haben nochmal tolle Einblicke bekommen. Der Besitzer war wahnsinnig nett und sehr sympathisch. Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt und würden es nochmal buchen! Wir hatten übrigens auch das Zimmer 5 und ja die Heizung klopft etwas, aber überhaupt nicht schlimm.

• Carine (10/5): Très agréable séjour dans ce trés bel endroit - Très bel endroit confortable au milieu des chevaux ! Beaucoup de charme bien décoré, tout confort Le prioritaire est trés accueillant.
• Thomas (6/5): Gute Unterkunft für einen kurzen Aufenthalt - Einfacher Check-In, gute Lage Die gemeinschaftlich genutzten Räume (Bad, Küche, Essbereich) waren leider nicht sehr sauber. Der untere Wohnbereich war etwas lieblos eingerichtet gegenüber dem oberen Wohnbereich und auch die Küche unten war weniger gut ausgestattet wie oben.

• Kelly (7/5): Felt like a high end hostel without enough bathrooms - Excellent location, big kitchen (shared), comfortable bed, hot tub with a view Windows on first floor were high on the wall so we could not see out or appreciate the view. No screens on open windows meant there were loads of flies in the kitchen and dining room. Hot tub needed cleaning. One shared bath for four double rooms was insufficient.
• Florian (4/5): - Reibungsloser check in Die Küche war schmutzig. Im Kühlschrank waren schimmelige Erdbeeren, aufdem Kopfpolster alles voller Haare und Schmutz. Die gesamte Unterkunft war voller Fliegen, die allerdings wahrscheinlich vom Pferdehof herrühren. Wir waren 2 Nächte, weder die Gemeinschaftsküche noch das Gemeinschaftsbad wurde in dieser Zeit gereinigt.

There were flies everywhere and they bit you. My sister has multiple bites. It was disgusting to have flies in the bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom. The shower was a trickle of water that took a very long time to get warm; I took a cold shower because I thought it wasn’t going to get warmer. My sister’s shower after mine was warm, so I guess the water eventually got warm. The shower was also not clean; there were clumps of hair on the shower walls.
• Linda James (5/5): We were new to the guest house experience and would consider trying it again. - Not having to interact with people first thing in the morning was refreshing. The views were amazing. Heated floors made for warm toes. There was confusion upon checking in. We were shown the wrong accommodation. After resolution, we never heard from the owner. It appeared that the owner had just stepped out. Food in the refrigerator, sudoku booklet open on window ledge, dishes on side of sink. there was no explanation of amenities, i.e., coffee, wifi, television, etc.

• Neil (5/5): Clean rooms, but bathroom facilities were not adequate - Good location for Golden Circle sightseeing. Kitchen facilities were useful Shared bathroom on ground floor is one bathroom with a toilet & Shower which has to cater for 4 double rooms. It would be better if the toilet and shower were at least in separate rooms. Shower water was lukewarm and the drain for both shower and hand basin were not working properly.

• Sjevon (5/5): Prima locatie, helaas veel geluidsoverlast - Alles is nieuw, en dat zie je. Mooi ingericht huis. Eigen slaapkamer kan op slot en goedwerkend, verduisterend gordijn voor de lange zomerdagen.. De locatie ligt midden in de Golden Circle van IJsland, wat de ligging perfect maakt. De voordeur gaat niet op slot beneden.Dit vonden wij niet zo prettig. Wij sliepen in kamer 5 (begane grond) en wij denken wel dat we helaas de slechtste kamer van het hele huis hebben gehad. Vandaar ook het lage cijfer. We sliepen direct achter de douche en wc-ruimte. Wanneer deze worden gebruikt, geeft dit veel geluidsoverlast. Het geeft een hard tik-geluid via de afvoerbuizen, waar je wakker van ligt. Daarnaast is het niet praktisch dat de douche en de wc in dezelfde gedeelde ruimte zijn, voor 4 slaapkamers. De slaapkamer is verder niet heel geluidsdicht. Mensen op de bovenverdieping hoor je goed lopen, en beneden hoor je anderen de keuken gebruiken. Echt tot een goede nachtrust kwamen wij hier dus helaas niet. De keuken ziet er goed uitgerust uit, maar is niet helemaal afgewerkt/werkzaam. De vaatwasser doet het niet en de afzuiging tijdens het koken gaat via de kast terug naar de keuken.

• Ken (7/5): Lovely place in lovely location. - The home is beautiful and so is the location and the host was very agreeable. It's very close to really stunning natural beauty such as Geysir and beautiful waterfalls. My only complaint would be that there's a large living area near the room I was in, so I could hear a large group of people in the morning fixing breakfast.

I really thought I was booking a room with a bathroom, but it was A SHARED BATHROOM. It was a small shared bathroom for three double rooms, no separate toilet. I think most guesthouses have shared bathrooms but they advertise this. The way this is written up is easy to lead you to think it is your own bathroom. The other couple staying at the same time as us also thought they had booked a room with its own bathroom.

• Jessica (10/5): - It was a beautiful stay. The hosts were lovely and welcoming and had a cute dog and let us meet all their horses. The accommodation was clean and spacious, comfy beds. Great large kitchen for making meals and the hot tub is beautiful overlooking the river.
• Anna (7/5): - Die Lage des Hauses war schön, tolle Ausblick vom tollen Hot-Pott im Garten. Die Küche ist gut und modern ausgestattet. Bequeme Betten. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber, die persönlich in Begleitung eines süßen Hundes begrüßen! Das Haus an sich ist schön, wenn man das richtige Zimmer bekommt... Wir haben es für zwei Nächte wegen dem schönen Ausblick auf den Bildern mit großen Fenster und guter Lage für die Ausflüge gebucht. Bekommen haben wir eine Souterrain-Zimmer...mit einem sehr schmalen Fenster unter der Decke...mit dem Blick auf kleinen Streifen von Himmel und dem Fußweg am Haus. Das Zimmer war sehr hellhörig. Es teilte eine Wand mit dem Bad und man bekam alles mit. Die Heizung hat die ganze Zeit "geklopft", Ich finde, man müsste die Zimmer im unteren Geschoss auch so präsentieren und schon beim Buchen gekennzeichnen, dass man Bescheid weißt, was man bekommt.
• Julian (10/5): Oase der Ruhe - Toll ausgestattete Wohnung mit Hot-Pot im Garten. Die Zimmer befinden sich im Erdgeschoss und Obergeschoss. Die Räume im Obergeschoss sind noch ein bisschen schöner gestaltet, da man nach draußen auf freie Felder schauen kann. Herzlicher Gastgeber! Leider hat man bei der Buchung nicht gesehen, dass man kein eigenes Badezimmer hat bzw. ein Badezimmer im Zimmer. Dies befindet sich auf dem Flur.

• Tids1 (10/5): Fabulous - The space and the surroundings was beautiful and comfortable. Although there might be others sharing it was still good enough to catch up with different people. There is some stables there which they allow for you to go and see and maybe have a coffee with the host he is a gentleman. Oh yeah he there is a very exciting friendly dog on site who loves staying outdoors to have fun.. snow or shine he enjoys running around.. honestly a brilliant place to stay and in a perfect location for the golden circle, geysir and the gulfoss falls.

• Alina (10/5): Wunderschönes Haus & super Lage - Die Unterkunft war sehr schön und modern eingerichtet. In der Küche gab es alles was man braucht. Der Whirlpool hatte eine sehr schöne Aussicht und generell war man umgeben von Natur & Pferden. Die Menschen waren alle super lieb und der Farmhund ebenfalls. Die Lage ist perfekt um den golden Circle zu sehen & die secret lagoon zu besuchen :)
