It’s cosy and nicely furnished, with a fully enclosed outside space. It’s a great location, just a 2 minute walk to a really good, dog friendly pub and only a short drive to lots of beautiful places to visit.

- Samantha (10/5): A perfect spot to explore the local area. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly. - The property was very homely and comfortable with tasteful furnishings, linen, crockery and beautiful artwork. Nothing, everything was very good.
- Davd (10/5): Perfect break - Wonderful warm welcome, everything was spotlessly clean. Towels, linen were provided.
Welcome pack was so thoughtful and handy.
Parking right outside.
Pub/ restaurant just yards away was lovely.
Loads of places to visit, ie Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Swanage, Weymouth and Portland. Nothing, everything was perfect
- Richard (10/5): - Sarah and Charles are lovely hosts, wonderful location, the accommodation was super clean and very well presented. Milk, biscuits and other goodies were left out as a gift on arrival.
We will definitely return. Nothing to complain about.

- Lucy (10/5): What an absolute gem, we will be back!!!! - Hazeldene was absolutely fantastic and had everything we could possibly need. The location is perfect for exploring the sight, local walks, great pubs (one next door!) and scenery. The area is very quiet.
The property is secure, had great outdoor furniture and was equipped with everything you could need (kitchen supplies, dog towels/stair-gate) just home-from-home.
Absolutely everything was clean, well kept and fresh.
Sarah, the host, was so friendly and offered help with the area too.
Fantastic place! Nothing!
- Zena (10/5): 5 Star Accommodation 🌟 - A modern clean property where the welcoming owners Sarah and Charles have thought of everything! From outside seating, recycling bins, beach towels to shampoo/conditioner, and complimentary milk, snacks / wine.
There was to our surprise a second bedroom which we used as a dressing room and a pub only 2 mins walk serving tasty food.
We would highly recommend staying here to visit Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove only 15 mins drive. You won't be disappointed. There's nothing we didn't like except the bathroom has a low ceiling, which you need to watch out for, but that can't be helped.
- Wayne (10/5): 6th wedding anniversary weekend. - Me and my wife wanted a weekend away for our 6th wedding anniversary with our dogs .
So when we pulled up to this beautiful house tucked away from the main road with a pub just doors away we knew we had booked a nice place for our weekend.
Sarah and Charles welcomed us in ,it was spacious lovely down stairs kitchen fully equipped upstairs in the main bed room was again beautiful with the en-suit with lots of different pictures from around the area , I would fully recommend this beautiful space ,Sarah really did think of everything from a big bottle of prosecco, milk, orange juice, chocolate, snacks and even toiletries, right down to the very last detail even had our own bathrobes .
Out in the garden there is a lovely place to sit and enjoy with garden furniture and a parasol, also as we brought our dogs with us the area is completely dog proof so they can't escape.
We were sad to leave but I have a knee replacement surgery the following day ,but genuinely didn't want to leave this hidden jem
I would recommend this stay 110% fantastic place ,lovely hosts and nice and peaceful, and a great price for the weekend but we are already looking to book again for next year .
Thank you Sarah and Charles for a lovely stay was nice to meet you and we see you soon .

- Andrew (10/5): Really beautiful place to stay and we would definitely come back. Great hosts and location. - This beautiful cottage was just perfect for our stay. Sarah and her partner were so accommodating and even left a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge, with various snacks too! Cottage was extremely clean and had everything we could ask for. Excellent location for all our planned activities and the pub next door was an icing on the cake! Great food and great staff too. Definitely will come back! N/A
- Tricia (10/5): Wonderful Location for Exploring Dorset - The cottage was vibrant and welcoming. Everything was immaculate. Sarah had lots of extra touches - welcoming milk and a fizzy treat, choccies and snacks and lots of info about the surrounding area and recommendations of what to do and where to eat. Nothing!
- Mandy (10/5): An absolute gem - We found this little gem after an awful experience at another property, and we're so glad we did! It's an absolutely lovely place to stay, with everything you need, including some lovely little touches that go above and beyond the average holiday let. Spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Sarah, the owner, was so friendly and helpful. We're already looking at dates to come back. I can't recommend it enough. Nothing!
- Paul (10/5): Peaceful and a pub next door - It was just perfect like home from home. Don’t enjoy staying away with work especially weekends but this was just what I needed Nothing
- Kellyann (10/5): Beautiful little holiday Home - Beautiful little cottage, comfortable and cosy. Clean and Quiet. Ideally located for lulworth cove and Durdle door and short drive away from Weymouth. Nothing to not like
- Colin (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect base to explore Dorset. Sarah & Charles were great hosts, would highly recommend.
- Lara (10/5): Exceptional - Hazeldene is a perfect place for a getaway, everything was very clean and tidy, the place is big enough and has about just everything you'd need on holiday (including kitchen utilities). Sarah is the loveliest host and she really did make us feel welcome. We stayed here for the weekend and wish we could have stayed longer, because the place just has such a cosy vibe. Nothing, I can't think of any cons.
- Richard (10/5): Very comfortable well equipped self contained appartment - A very comfortable and well equipped property with everything you would need for a comfortable stay
Plenty of room in the two bedrooms and living space downstairs
Easy parking right outside the door and very helpful hosts
- Amanda (9/5): Superb - Return visit as lovely place and hosts are very welcoming
- Warren (4/5): A great property spoilt by second hand cigarette smoke - Excellent location and well fitted The place stank of cigarette smoke, throughout the downstairs and in the main double bedroom. My wife is allergic and decamped into the spare room and slept in a single bed which is not what we had in mind for a weekend away together. The towels stank of cigarette smoke as did the loo rolls. The heating came on automatically early in the mornings meaning it was very hot, but in the evenings when it was cold we had no control over switching it on. Almost everything else about the property was great but the cigarette smell is unforgivable.
- Simone (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful home, very clean and felt looked after. Host came out to greet us and also good communication via messenger prior and during our stay.
- Karen (10/5): Sarah the host was very welcoming and the property suited our needs perfectly. Would definitely stay again - Really cosy property that is well situated to the local sights and a pub 2 mins walk away Absolutely nothing
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janice (10/5): Had a wonderful time, couldn’t do enough to make you feel welcome - Fine
- Liz (10/5): Great place near good pub and great walks - Hazeldene has everything you could imagine needing and more. Sarah is a warm, welcoming & friendly host. She went above and beyond to help and to make our stay perfect.
- Charles (10/5): Exceptional -
- Craig (9/5): Superb - the wifi signal was pretty poor...but an evening without internet wasn't an issue
- Amanda (9/5): Superb - Lovely comfy accommodation and great hosts.
- Mario (10/5): The hosts were very nice and accommodating. Everything was very clean. - The hosts were very nice and accommodating. Everything was very clean.
- Colin (8/5): Great stay in a quiet location location. Good facilities, comfortable beds and plenty of hot water - We were doing the first stage of the South West Coast Path between South Haven Point and Portland, so the location was central to that and was therefore an excellent location and was quiet. The property was excellent in terms of cleanliness and was near to a public house which served food which we took advantage of on two occasions, this being literally 50 yards away. accommodation was comfortable and the water for showers was also hot. The hosts provided a nice touch leaving a bottle of white wine in the fridge in addition to a carton of fruit juice as a means of welcome. Obviously we were on a self catering holiday and had taken a wide variety of foods for breakfast and evening meals in addition to packed lunches, and were expecting to be provided with at least a small oven. There was only a microwave oven provided within the kitchen, so conventional meals could and bread could not be cooked. It would have been easier if a small oven or indeed an Air Fryer could have been provided. Also, there was no cutting board provided to cut vegetables and bread etc. We therefore had to cut things on plates which is less than ideal. The ceiling in bathroom slopes to quite a low level so is not ideal for tall people.
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raymond (9/5): Superb - Wonderful little property in a great location for visiting Dorset, being midway between Weymouth and Wareham. The property has everything you need for a lovely break.
- Kelly (10/5): Perfect stay - The house is beautiful with everything you need. It's set in a beautiful location and an easy 25 min drive into Bournemouth. The only fault, and it's nothing really, but the pillows were so new and big that they weren't comfortable.
