Guest Reviews
- Owen (8/5): Enjoyable stay, with great bay view. - The cottage was well furnished with generous provisions to ease our arrival (tea, milk etc). I has a great view over the bay. The beds were very comfortable The furnishings in the living room are good quality, but not vrey comfortable arranged (eg for watching TV
- chanelle (9/5): -
- Jensen (8/5): -
- Adrian (10/5): A real gem of a property that made us feel very welcome at this special island location - The property was beautifully presented on arrival, and the welcome pack was lovely.
The property was a real home away from home in a very special tranquil island location.
- David (8/5): very nice accomodation - everything you need in self catering and a very good welcome hamper. nothing
- Hudalameri (9/5): - المكان هادى مريح نظيف كل ما تحتاجه متوفر علي كان متعاون جدا لا شيء
- Elio (9/5): Very good stay, strongly suggested - Very kind approach by the owner, high quality bath products, plenty of towels and sheets, quite spacious main bedroom. Bathroom as renewed yestarday Kitchen good but not aligned with the rest. Maybe small for four.
- Thomas (8/5): Great location if you prefer want an appartment and to stay in Stornoway without being in the center - The villa is fairly big and convenient. Very quiet area close to Stornoway.
No interaction with the hosts but all instructions are very clear. There was a welcome pack with a few elements to eat and drinks at our arrival. It is not very realistic to go back to the city centre on foot (doable but would advise it at night or by rainy weather).
View from the house itself/garden is not amazing.
Old/basic TV.
- Julie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elemer (10/5): Relaxing accommodation, great location, stress free - The house was very comfortable and clean, very well equipped, great value for money. Highly recommended
- Malcolm (10/5): Great accommodation which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone coming to the island. - Very comfortable property ideal for couple or small family. Great location just outside Stornoway handy for shops / airport / ferry / access to rest of the island.
Very generous welcome basket and fresh milk provided. Everything you need in terms of basics in the kitchen, even had his and hers spare toiletries in the bathroom. One of the few places in the world where I have come across an abundance of coat hangers!
Garden looks lovely, unfortunately stayed in January so missed the opportunity to sit out. N/a
- Nick (9/5): hi - Comfortable and cosy Early check out. But this is par for the course in Scotland
- Steven (10/5): Staying for work during the three days. Had to cut short the stay due to ferry problems. The welcome hamper was fantasti - Clean and tidy.
Well presented.
Parking.
All the facilities were first class. Nothing.
- Chris (10/5): A perfect, well equipped holiday home. - This was an excellent place to stay. The hosts had provided everything we might need - and more. The welcome pack of food and drink was most thoughtful and very welcome. The bathroom was spacious and the shower excellent. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was actually small. There were only two of us and we could manage to sit at the table, but we doubt whether four people would be able to. Would the table be better in the lounge in place of the coffee table?
- Angus (10/5): Enjoyed our stay and will recommend to friends - Nice quiet location near town. TV reception could have been better
- Nigel (10/5): Loved our stay would highly recommend. - Cute, cosy, immaculate cottage.
- Aileen (10/5): Lovely stay in an ideal location - Lovely decor; very welcoming & well presented Nothing!
- Julian (8/5): It was everything we could have wanted for our first visit to Lewis & Harris. - The location was ideal for exploring Lewis with a vehicle (plenty of parking space). Modern decoration and good facilities. It was fine for us but without a vehicle it is quite a walk (and not a very interesting one) to the centre of Stornoway.
- Roslyn (10/5): Great place for a getaway. - Easy to locate & check-in, safe on-site car parking, quiet & secure, generous & thoughtful guest provisions, pristinely clean & comfortable, well serviced kitchen & other amenities, excellent temperature control. Nothing.
- Vanessa (10/5): A wonderful holiday home - tidy, comfortable and cosy. Thank you. - Perfect location. The host had catered for all our needs and left a lovely hamper for us and wine in the fridge! Nothing - everything was perfect.
- Calum (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dominique (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (8/5): was fine lovely bungalow just on the outskirts of Stornoway - good there was a welcome basket with goodies in it and a bottle of wine, would come back and use again, spotlessly clean everything was fine
- Sylvia (9/5): A clean, well equipped bungalow with modern decor on the outskirts of Stornoway. - Attractive location, extremely well equipped and tastefully decorated. Host very helpful and obliging. Nothing.
- David (7/5): A little bit disappointing having to live partly out of a suitcase for a week. - The bedrooms did not have any drawers to store underwear etc.Considering the quality of the furniture this was a let down!
- Katie (10/5): Excellent in every way ! Would stay again . Thank you Ali -
- Raymond (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margaret (9/5): excellent home with thoughtful extras, the scones and tablet were great. lovely toiletries . - house was ideally located in a quiet area with lovely view everything we needed for our stay was there
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - Well kitted out, nice touch to have foodie things when we arrived. More things to put in microwave. Too many strong scented things quite overpowering smell.
- Susan (9/5): more than adequate although small - modern, smart to very small kitchen/diner. no drawers in bedrooms
- Isobel (10/5): Lovely presented bungalow in good location. - Comfortable, modern house in a good area with a nice view. Plenty room for parking.House was stocked with lovely range of high quality items. Also the host left a great welcome pack including home made scones and tablet. Not really an issue, but a few books in conservatory would have been good.
