• Erwin (10/5): One night that turned into two - true wellness, mindfulness and Ikigai living - Title: One night that turned into two - true wellness, mindfulness and Ikigai living I initially booked one night at Ikigai B&B (Turnhout area / Oud‑Turnhout), but I felt so peaceful so quickly that I booked an extra night immediately. This place doesn’t just offer comfort: it offers a complete reset. Everything here invites you into a slower rhythm: the calm of the home, the gentle energy, and the sense that your wellbeing actually matters. The wellness experience must feel intentional and soothing, with facilities such as a Finnish sauna, hot tub, infrared and indoor/outdoor relaxation areas, set in a carefully created garden atmosphere, and a heated outdoor pool in season. Unfortunatly, I didn't make use of the welness facilities. But I will next time! What elevates Ikigai into something truly special is the human experience. Marc and Inge bring heaps of life experience and wisdom, and the conversations I had with them were surprisingly profound grounded, inspiring and mindful. Their personal story and the meaning behind Ikigai adds a deeper layer: you don’t just “stay,” you feel yourself returning to balance. Location-wise, it’s also ideal if you want nature to support your reset, with the Liereman nature area nearby and walking/cycling routes right outside. Marc and Inge are more than happy to share them with you. In short: if you’re looking for a luxury wellness B&B near Turnhout with authentic mindfulness and heartfelt hosting, Ikigai delivers. And then some. Again, can't find anything negative!

From the very first moment, I felt myself slowing down and letting go. This is not just a place to sleep, but a space designed for rest, soul searching, balance and wellbeing. Marc and Inge have created a beautiful, homely atmosphere grounded in the philosophy of Ikigai, finding meaning, calm and purpose in daily life. Their personal story is inspiring and provides depth to the entire experience. You don’t just stay here; you feel it. And the good breakfast helps too ;-) The hosts do everything possible to make guests feel supported and cared for, without it ever feeling forced. Everything is done with heart and attention. I left feeling mentally refreshed, deeply relaxed and grateful for the experience. Ideal for anyone seeking a peaceful wellness B&B near Turnhout where true hospitality and inner calm come together. Can't find anything that I would consider negative about Ikigai B&B.

• Khadija (9/5): Ikigai, of de kunst om goed voor jezelf te zorgen. - Charmante, mooi ingericht huis dat rust en zen uitstraalt. Hartelijk ontvangst door Marc. Deze locatie biedt een wellnessruimte en een mooie tuin met zwembad. Parkeergelegenheid beschikbaar. Rustige straat. Geen negatief punt aan te merken.
• Jessie (9/5): Hier word je 100 jaar. - Het onthaal was heel hartelijk. De uitbaters stralen passie voor het vak uit. Geen vraag was teveel. De woning en het verblijf is kraaknet. In de verduisterde kamer met lekker bed slaap je als een engel. De omgeving is super voor mensen die houden van de natuur, bossen, wandelen, fietsen, joggen... We hebben zelf geen gebruik gemaakt van de welnessfaciliteiten maar als je hier vandaan komt, moet je helemaal zen zijn. Al heeft het helemaal geen hinder opgeleverd, is voor mij een gedeelde badkamer een minpuntje.

• Silvia (8/5): Hele vriendelijke gastvrouw en gastheer. - De ligging van het B & B ligt vlakbij Turnhout. Er was voldoende plek voor onze fietsen. Wij misten een kastje om kleding in te leggen.

• Debyser (4/5): we zijn amper enkele uren op de kamer gebleven.. ook te koud badkamer en kamer verwarming is optie - we hebben geen ontbijt kunnen nemen, kort na 1h snachts moeten vertrekken huiswaarts gekraakt van de pijn, van slechte topper of boxspring het bed.. was duidelijk niet bruikbaar voor mij... boxspring waar enkel een topper van 5cm op ligt, ik ben rugpatient en dat is dus zeker niet voor mij weg gelegd, wel dure grap eerlijk gezegd 137 euro voor paar uur op bed te liggen.. midden de nacht kan je moeilijk de eigenaars wakker maken en vragen voor andere kamer of bed of matras

They have a wealth of information about the area and things to do. Nothing really. This property ticked the boxes, especially so close to the place we were visiting. It was a little tricky to locate, but this was easily overcome.

• Irmgard (9/5): Unexpected paradise in Oud-Turnhout - Inge and Marc share their paradise house with their guests with much passion. Our room was located on the ground floor, and we enjoyed our own bathroom and separate toilet. The perks of the house are obviously the pool, but especially Inge and Marc’s hospitality. They tend to their guests with great care and this shows for example in the lovely breakfast, which we were able to enjoy next to the pool on the terrace. For us the location was perfect: we were only a 6 minute bike ride away from our friends’ house. Also Turnhout is very accessibly from their place, only a short drive away.

• Tom (1/5): BIG NO - Nothing This is a rip-off. When I looked for a hotel in the city I was travelling through on Booking.com, I received a list of the local hotels. I clicked and booked; I was charged 115 Euros. Then I entered the hotel info into my navigation system and ?????? The hotel was located 80 km away, and I would have to drive 80 Km going the opposite direction. I asked about the refund of the payment. I never received any reply.
