• Noga (10/5): - The appartment is just a minute from the bus station. There are e-bikes available and it was great to explore the island with them. The appartment is fully equipt and very comfortable. There is a washing/ dryer machine that was useful for us. There are two restaurants near by that we enjoyed We arrived a bit early and it was already clean and ready for us Nothing

There was some confusion in regards to possibility of friends joining us. My understanding was that we had to register the additional guests on the iPad if they arrived, which we did. But after owner was upset we did not call her.

Host went WAY above and beyond when we arrived on ferry too late in evening to catch the town bus and picked us up in a van. Then, when we missed a ferry after an evening in Takamatsu and she couldn’t quickly get ahold of a taxi service, she picked us up AGAIN! Nice location for walking to Benesse Art House art installations, the art houses, and Honmura port. Also 2 min from a lovely, secluded beach, which kids loved. And a short walk from multiple excellent restaurants.

There wasn’t anything to dislike, it was one of the best spots we’ve stayed in this trip to Japan, perfect for a family get away to break up the hustle and bustle of Tokyo Osaka etc.

Well appointed (with 5 e-bikes!) at a very reasonable price - Super friendly cleaning staff we ran into when we arrived (early) helped us and gave us tips using their translation devices. The place is on the quiet side of the island, away from the museums but with the e-bikes (5!) it comes with we were able to go around the island without issues. There’s a kitchen but we went out to the Regalo Italian restaurant at 50 metres distance. There are also some nice Japanese restaurants right nearby but we didn’t try those as we only had one full day at the island. A lovely stay, at a great island full of wonderful art.

• Isadora (10/5): Majestic house in an awesome location!! - the house is simply amazing! it has everything you need, with super high quality. super close to the pier and very well located to access the galleries! it was super tidy and clean. the owner bought us a gift because it was our honeymoon celebration and we loved every bit of it! the decoration is awesome and the bikes were fully charged for us and ready to use. 100% sure we will come back! nothing to say about it. to make it even better I would suggest to have some helmets at the property to promote more safety for the bike rides (but then again… it is just a suggestion no complains at all about our experience)

• Hillarys (10/5): Lovely house in every way - We liked everything about this cozy (but spacious) house! The host was perfect in all correspondence, the house was spotless, the beds were comfy, and every possible amenity was provided. We loved the design and modernity of this house, too. I selfishly hesitate to give this house and host such a great review because I fear that it’ll be all booked up when I want to come back with other guests to Naoshima. Still, we felt lucky to get to stay here! There isn’t anything that we didn’t like. Due to a tropical storm that affected this area during our long weekend, we had to stay inside for almost a full day, but we were so comfortable that we didn’t mind this at all. I don’t think we’d have been so content in other accommodations on the island.

It’s sleek, stylish, functional. Kitchen and bathroom are well equipped and the washing machine has an in-build supply of detergent. And after an artful day on Naoshima (e-bikes provided by Artisanal will help you getting around), one can enjoy a profane movie on Netflix or Disney+ using the impressive screen in the living room area. Last but not least, our hosts were very response, helpful and friendly. ./.

You can use them the moment you are there. Nice kitchen and laundry fzcilities. Ask the owner to make reservation for restaurant. We had a lovely dinner in italian resto REGALO at 50m and great japanese dinner at Ebisukamo. You have no direct contact withvthe owner, but everything is well explained in the house. You can contact Rumico by whats app Nothing. Advice : Go shopping in 7 eleven or closer Coop in the.evening you arrive. No breakfast around.

Very comfortable and suitable for up to 5 people. E-bikes for guest use were a great addition. Getting around the island to all the art sites and restaurants is super easy by bike or by town bus, which stops about 50 feet away from the house. No concerns.

• James (10/5): Perfect house for a family stay in Naoshima - Everything at Artisanal was great and made for a perfect stay in Naoshima. Rumiko is a great host - really responsive to any questions, give recommendations and helped us book a restaurant for the Saturday night (Luke's Bar and Grill) which I'd also recommend. Location is good - opposite one of the main bus stops and, while it is not near any of the main art areas, it feels a bit quieter as a result. Plus, it's only a short bus or cycle ride to each end of the island anyway. House itself is very stylish, in keeping with the modern art feel of the island, with a minimal, almost Scandi design. But it's still really comfortable with everything you need, including some welcome snacks and provisions. The e-bikes provided were a great touch, we all loved using them to get around the island and made things a lot easier. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Artisanal to friends and would book again if we ever came back to Naoshima.

• Hannah (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Naoshima, we will be back! - We loved staying at Artisanal during our time at Naoshima, the staff were so friendly and the house is exactly like the photos if not better. We loved having some space to relax after our long days walking around the islands many art sites. The bus stop is right outside the house, local restaurants right on the doorstep. It is a short, easy 15 mins walk to town in one direction, and a 15 mins walk to the Benesse Art Site gate. The house also comes with e-bikes to make it even easier to move around the island! Make sure to get breakfast supplies at the store as there is no places close by to eat and lots of places in Honmura area don't open till 10/11am.

• Chihiro (10/5): Beautiful, convenient and cozy! - It was wonderful! The location is great with 10 minutes bus ride from Miyaura port and 5 seconds walk from the bus stop. Super easy access to the Benesse House Museum and Art House Project both by bus and electric bicycle (free of charge!). The house is modern, clean, beautifully furnished and I just loved the bed! The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware and cutleries. We would definitely come back to this property for a longer stay.

We felt really at home in a very local area. It is a bit further away from the ports but still walkable to Honmura. Also there a bus station literally 30s away. The house is so well put together we enjoyed the space very much and Artisanal provides bikes for visitors. Nothing at all really.
