Guest Reviews
- Vicky (1/5): Avoid this property - Heating not working, no WiFi. Totally broken. Contacted management who asked me and gave instructions to fix heating. Told them I didn't pay to be their plumber. Guy who arrived to fix heating became aggressive which in turn made me become frustrated and annoyed at his attitude and would not let me get a word in edgeways. Called me racist as I questioned his negativity and attitude, maybe to a small degree he thought I was. But in no way did i feel i was racist. I became very angry at him as everything I tried to say fell on deaf ears and in my opinion he was arrogant and overbearing. Left property that night. Next morning still saying I was racist and the final words on the message were LEAVE NOW... we will get police and escort you from the propery. Did we stay.....not a chance. Avoid this property like the plague. Everything. Walls stained, sofa had large stains on arms, toilet door handle totally broken. Icy cold hands and body due to no heating. Thought he could fix WiFi even although the wholemeal had snapped off. WiFi supposed to be include and he thought it was ok to say you can watch TV... garden is shocking and the bins were full to overflowing outside. Driveway in front garden but no dropped kerb. Expect to damage your car if you attempt to use it.
- Stuart (2/5): Decent location but avoid unless necessary. - The location of the property is ideal if you are looking for something within the bishopton area. The house was dirty, we had dust on the pillows to begin with. The noise from the heating cupboard/radiators & pipes was pretty much unbearable at times… we honestly thought there was an old style washing machine rattling the wall at moments it was so loud! There was quite a big gap underneath the front door causing a freezing cold draft to come through the hall 24/7 (photo attached). The back garden had an old abandoned single bed/ mattress at the back door… and the garden was not usable at all. We were asked to make sure the bins were empty when leaving (very reasonable request which we would normally do) but the bin was rammed full so we could not do.
Internet was intermittent at best
The tray of tea/coffee/biscuits etc… was a nice touch, but one of the milk sachets was out of date. No tea towels in the kitchen.
Personal letters sitting at the door dated a good few days that were sitting there when we arrived.
The cushions on the couches etc… were all stained and very dirty looking.
All in all, this place is not worth the money. Unless you are desperate for bishopton as a location and can’t afford the other ones available, avoid this at all costs. The interior has had some superficial updating but the maintenance of the heating/floor boards and general cleaning of the place… plus the outside of the house requires some major work to be considered again.
- Annwright (7/5): A good property overall - Overall a good property for our stay. Everything we needed was provided The heating pipes were very noisy especially in the front bedroom
- Annwright (9/5): very good property overall - lovely property, well appointed nice and clean, all facilities were very good, will definitely return the noise from the heating pipes at times was horrendous .
- Geoff (7/5): Done what we required so Happy overall - Location was very good for what we needed Noise in cupboard in.twin room came and when but loud so was wakened a few times
- Norma (9/5): Superb -
- Jordan (7/5): Good - We couldn’t get the hot water to work to have a shower
- Jade (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lorna (3/5): Very uncomfortable. We and family would have used this property regularly but we wont now. - Property was clean enough, facilities were adequate main beds were reasonably comfortable. Location was good for us as near family but at the edge of the town not ideal for most folk.
We thought we might have been first tenants in this property and the problems we had were not known about. But it was the fact that there was little attempt to rectify these, and neither emails, phone calls or texts have been answered in order to discuss them since-and we discovered another review with the same problems previous to our stay that has led to me having to put on this review. Internet didnt work. We were told to disconnect all the cables and restore them. A spanner was required for one which we didnt have but we did switch on and off and nothing changed.
The toilet didnt work properly. It flushed once, a little twice then no more for several hours. The water in the toilet constantly ran -very annoying through the night. A plumber was apparently sent out but this made no difference.
No coffee maker as advertised. Nor dishtowel. We had to use a bath towel to dry dishes!
No bedding for the sofa bed except for some crushed and stained sheets and pillows in a black bag. We were told these had been used and we didnt need the sofa bed as we were 4 persons -there is a double and 2 single beds but none of us were a couple. However the sofa bed proved to be very uncomfortable and we had to rearrange sleeping arrangements and squash into beds upstairs which wasnt appropriate. No attempt was made to bring us bedding.
No instructions for the property. We were told they had been emailed twice but none arrived. And that there was printed ones in the house but there wasnt. No attempt was made to come and give us some.
The house was extremely hot (24.5) -we couldnt figure out how to fix this. There was only up and down arrows on the thermostat which we used but the heating did not go off at all. We turned off the radiators and opened the windows but in the morning it was 19.5. An uncomfortable night. We had to leave windows open and radiators off. In the end we found the switch for the boiler and switched it off.
The emergency number was answered but not for several hours by Kirsty. She tried to rectify matters by phone but did not come to property when nothing changed.
- Louise (3/5): Unhappy - I was nice and warm The heating system noisy ( like a loud washing machine in bedroom) woke us all up
I had to vacuum and clean before unpacking
Lack of towels
A knife sticking out a tree stump in front garden
Back garden a shambles
An old slipper on radiator
Rubbish on floor
Leaky toilet?
Wifi not working
The list is endless, it’s a shame.
