Guest Reviews
- Vinnie (9/5): lovely birthday get away for my mum had a brilliant stay - i had a fantastic stay at dowran it was beautiful presented and had everything i needed for a comfortable stay such as the kitchen utensils
loved the kitchen no real faults however the second bedroom didn’t have any bedding other than that everything was perfect
- Amy (7/5): A lovely property.. but a few things to note! - The property is well decorated and the bed was comfy. The host left a few essentials in the kitchen upon arrival (milk, butter, biscuits) and robes in the bedroom, which was a nice touch. The property is on the main A30 which we didn't realise, so was quite noisy with traffic, but did quieten down overnight.
The property was advertised with heating, but there is no heating downstairs, only a log burning stove. The house was freezing when we arrived. Only one small net of logs and kindling were provided to heat the downstairs, which lasted only for the first night. We raised this whilst at the property, but the hosts didn't resolve this, so meant additional costs and time for us to go out to buy logs, fire lighters, etc. for heating.
There is parking for one car but it doesn't have a drop kerb, and is a very small space, with our car not quite fitting in the space. Between the busy traffic and awkward parking, it made things very tricky leaving and returning to the property.
The advertised dog bed was also not left for us to use.
- Aaliya (10/5): Highly recommend - Very cosy and comfortable
Very pretty also :) Just that the doors were quite stiff and hard to handle but wasn’t too hard to work around
