Guest Reviews
- Bartley (10/5): - Great location. Very peaceful. Open fire. Nothing.
- Lisa (10/5): -
- bryan (10/5): Perfect - Location, Quality of property, every need thought of, including osmaps.Really lovely place to stay. Nothing, well impressed .
- Knights (9/5): - Loved the location, and the cottage had everything you could need. My only criticism would be the mattresses they were hard and uncomfortable. Memory foam or softer mattresses would have been great. Even memory foam toppers to put on the beds if required would be great.
- Mark (10/5): Relaaax. - Lovely quiet place with scenery and wildlife. Convenient location for exploring Dumfries, Annan, etc. Cottage included everything one would need for a comfortable stay. Great value to boot. Accommodation lacked valet parking, on-site masseuse, and gold plated taps in the bathroom. 😉 Other than that, there's nothing not to like.
- David (7/5): Cottage in Dumfries and Galloway - The cottage had all that you needed. Good price. The cooker could be more efficient. The mortar around the kitchen door needs attention. It wasn't clear where black bin bags were.
- Donald (9/5): Relaxing - The isolation and the quiet The smell of the oil which runs the central heating system.
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and everything you need All perfect
- Fyles (8/5): Very good -
- Sergii (10/5): It was a nice welcoming place and we all really enjoyed our stay. - Large, clean, quite
- Gustavo (8/5): Nice quiet and peaceful accommodation, perfect to wind down. - The surroundings and quietness of the place. The carpet in the living room. It does get the smell from the chimney.
- Rutherfords (10/5): Lovely 2 weeks here - Good location on a quiet lane. All rooms a good size. Had a lovely fire burning brightly most nights.
The kitchen had lots of equipment, beds were made up.
There were bird feeders across from the back door so we got some good photos of robin, chaffinches and others. There was also a hore in the field opposite that we fed carrots with the approval of the owner
Very very happy to have stayed there. There is always something not right for everyone and the main thing I would say for us is it needed a grab rail in the bathroom.
Lesser things...no tablespoons, no kitchen scales(I love baking), no bread bin, needs a proper bread knife. The kitchen items would have made life easier for us.
- Deborah (6/5): Bonshawbrae - Location was lovely Felt damp inside...bedding,seats etc Wasnt really clean cupboards where dirty
- Paul (10/5): A taste of Border paradise, and one we'll return to in the future. - This was an idylic place, if you love solitude. The views all around were beautiful, and our neighbours, (the cows) were a delight. Such curious animals, they came over to welcome us on our first night here.
Self catering throughout, but everything you would have at your own home was available. There was also a cupboard with a selection of books, games, and DVDs should we need them. This part of the world is stunning, and the weather was kind to us. Going home.
- Diane (8/5): Lovely place .well worth a visit - Loved the views and outlook really nice and cottage on one level Slightly uncomfortable beds were used to sink in style these were much firmer but got used to them bedding nice style too
