Guest Reviews
- Şahiner Lazzari (8/5): It is good for family of 5 for a short stay. - It was so close to LEGOLAND, it is quite residential area. The Karin was so interested about what we like, why we need over the app even she was on a trip.
Her son George welcomed us. He was so helpful kind young boy. It was good for us. The toilet downstairs was enough for 1 day stay. , however if you stay more then 2 days , using shower upstairs can be difficult. I have 3 young kids and very noisy normally, I would worry about disturbing the owner.
- Graham (7/5): Perfect for a family going to Lego land - The host was lovely, the room was clean and well presented. The beds were dead comfy and the bed linen was soft and we all slept well. It was perfect for our 3 kids and two adults the night before a trip to Lego land which was a 20 mins drive in the morning! TV remote did not work and the shower was only warm by the third shower! No big issues!!!
- Luke (10/5): Great location , great room , great host , great stay . Would come here again 100% - Lovely warm greeting from the host very friendly and always approachable if anything additional was required , provided all of the family with information about the property. The bedroom was spotless, the bedding smelt lovely and fresh and the master bed was so comfy . The tea and coffee with breakfast nipples was a lovely touch .
I would highley recomend this for a stay again , and would love to come back for our family short term holiday . Only small point was the directions on booking.com doesn’t put this property in the right location . And the left hand turn into the property is hard to miss .
- Bruce (8/5): -
- Deborah (10/5): Lovely quiet place. Beautifully clean and warm. Wonderful hostess. - Close to where we wanted to go. Given a warm welcome. Warm , clean and cosy. We were given a lovely breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. Nothing to not like.
- Lynne (2/5): Not great. Beds were comfy and host did help get the tv working. - Location Odd set up in someone’s house which I didn’t feel was clear in the description. Also-there was a cat which one of my children was allergic to-wasn’t mentioned in the ad.
- EMMA (8/5): Good value and friendly - Close to Legoland and train stations to London. Spacious room, plenty of beds, comfy beds, variety of hot drinks and water, porridge/pastries included for breakfast. Very friendly polite owner and good value. Hard to find in the dark as off the main Street. Bathroom upstairs with owners space- not joined to room. Bathroom lock didn’t work and bath taps hard to turn. Coffee machine and kettle need descaling.
- Laila (10/5): - The area quiet and the house is big and so clean Nothing
- Penny (7/5): Friendly host and clean accessible accommodation. - Lovely host. Super friendly and accommodating. Clean and accessible. Nothing I disliked. Would have loved a fan as it was very hot. Having signage to say Bluebelle would be good and maybe a little tidy up of the garden area at the front and out the back as it didn’t look like I was meant to stay but rather someone’s house which was confusing.
- NICK (5/5): Poor standards and poor cleanliness - We didn’t really like any part of the house unfortunately We didn’t really like any part of the house unfortunately the bathroom upstairs the toilet down stairs the smell of house it wasn’t upto standards we expected
- Emma (10/5): - Tea and coffee and biscuits were a nice touch. Beds were comfortable, perfect after a busy day!
- Homewood (3/5): We left shortly after arrival. - The room itself was clean. The overall condition of the house it was in was dirty. It was not well kept and it felt as though I was staying in someone’s living room. Shared bathroom with the owner was also not great.
- Joanne (9/5): Excellent value for money in a brilliant location. - The location was perfect for our trip to Ascot and is also very close to Windsor. As the area is residential, there was plenty of parking available. A very helpful and accommodating host. We couldn't get the TV to work in the room but that was a very minor factor.
- Brukovska (1/5): Bad - Nothing. First of all, nobody don't open door for us in property. After half of hour, when we knock the door and call to doorbell, we call to booking.com help service. They try to get in touch with owners, but they say, that they can't take us anymore. So, here we was. Sit in a car with 2 kids without any plan, what to do next. It's good, that we could book another room, not so far, but still... After we was be in our way to another hotel, I got a call from property owner, with words sorry, and some unbelievable excuses. Terrible experience on our holiday. Don't book with them nothing. Scamers.
- Cairistine (8/5): Brilliant- just be aware you are in a family home - The only thing that was different to the details online was that there isn’t a private bathroom- you share the family bathroom. This was fine for our stay because no one else needed to use it at the same time and the family were incredibly quiet and we hardly saw them at all but it is slightly less comfortable than having your own and not having to worry about disturbing anyone.
- Yvonne (6/5): It was ok but needed upgrading - No breakfast Needed attention in the garden great deal of weeds
- Claire (7/5): Good - Crisp fresh bed linen and super soft towels. Kettle and bottled water. Quiet location. Large family bathroom with plenty of hot water for the shower. Good value for money. Clean, functional space for one night stay. Some people may feel uncomfortable not having an ensuite bathroom, but the toilet & bathroom are for sole use and easily accessed from the owners hall way / the room. Not a problem for us.
- Stan (5/5): The room was spacious with convenient parking, and the host was friendly. However, the listing felt a bit misleading we - Clean Not kids friendly
- Donna (5/5): Passable -
- Charmaine (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anthony (10/5): Great place and owners - Close to where we wanted to be and had everything we needed N/a
- Diane (6/5): Lively hosts, nice house - Quiet location, nice hosts, good choice for breakfast, liked being able to sleep in the same room which we couldn’t do in a hotel. Lack of amenities in surrounding area. Would require transport to enjoy the area and for restaurants.
Lock on upstairs bathroom door did not work
- Sarbjit (2/5): Very poor - Their behaviour was so rude, I don’t like it. Never ever try this again
- Edith (8/5): Very good -
- Dominique (8/5): Nice room and hosts but facilities not ideal - The room was big. The bed was comfy. The host was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for our needs. The toilet light didn’t work and they’d put a movement activated light in that kept turning off if you weren’t moving. A mirror in the bedroom would have been helpful. An outside lock to the room would also have been good. The private bathroom was upstairs. Description doesn’t mention that. In the dark, the property was hard to find.
- Katherine (7/5): Well located and clean. - Reasonably priced for 5 of us to stay, In a convenient location, for in our case, Heathrow. Clean with a few treats like coffee and tea. I had thought it was more like a guest house whereas room was a little chill and definitely part of someone's house. Worked for a short stay.
- Charlotte (10/5): Nice accommodation ,warm and welcoming , perfect for our mini break - Friendly , cozy , had what we needed , host was welcoming Nothing
- Joanna (5/5): Good price and location, uncomfortable bed, strange attitude from host. - Lovely Christmas lights to create a warm welcome. Room was appointed with easy breakfast for children, coffee, tea and cold fresh fridge milk. Clean beds and towels. A downstairs toilet. The bathroom was upstairs. I was solo with 3 children and let the kids brush teeth upstairs on their own ( they are 8,8,6 this is usual at home). My 8 year old slipped on the carpeted stairs on the way down, the carpet was loose and came off the stairs and this was obviously unsafe. The host, instead of apologising about the unsafe stairs, was more concerned that I had not chaperoned them to brush their teeth, so I dutifully went to retrieve said frighted 8 year old from the stairs with carpet bowing out, only to be remonstrated like a child for wearing ‘shoes on a carpeted staircase’! As a 44 year old doctor I did not really appreciate this at 8am after having hardly slept in an awful bed.
Either have safe stairs and accept opening your home to strangers or don’t put your home on booking.com. I left really discombobulated and upset, the double bed was creaky and exceptionally uncomfortable and I was awake most of the night, not exactly enhancing my trip to Lapland with 3 very excited children.
- Manish (10/5): Comfortable stay at a very reasonable price. Real value for money. - Very helpful. Happily accommodated my request of early check in. Very quiet, clean and conveniently located.
- Upchurch (9/5): Clean, good value room unobtrusively in family home - Clean, as described, good value, nice touches (chocolates, breakfast items), host friendly but not intrusive. the room is part of a family home, which I didn't expect, but actually it was fine, and explains the price, making it good value.
- John (8/5): Thank you! - Its location was perfect for us and we had a good night’s sleep. The host was friendly and welcoming. Some of the decor and facilities were a bit tired but that didn’t really trouble us .
- Alexandru (1/5): Bad - Wee don’t see the property because when we arrive there I don’t have access to the property and the owner he answer my text after 1 hours. If u want to rent the property I suggest to looking for something else because you pay and you don’t have access to property.he he take your money for nothing. cheaters.
- Angelia (6/5): Pleasant - It's was ok
- Jill (10/5): Easy to find, lovely host, warm, fresh room, a few minutes drive to convenience store and great pub for dinner - Great parking, clean and warm room, comfy beds All good
- Georgina (10/5): Perfect short stay ahead of a full day at legoland! - Such a cosy home from home - Karin clearly takes prides in her home stay Nothing
- Dreyer (9/5): Superb - Clean and comfortable and a friendly host. Nothing, it was as expected.
- Gill (10/5): Exceptional - It was exactly what we needed, very comfortable. A snack left for the children and some bits for breakfast aswell as hot drinks. A lovely place to stay.
- Clare (8/5): Very good - Very clean, lovely little room. Perfect for our family of 5 to stay.
- Carol (9/5): Superb - Location. Comfortable Beds. Convenient.
- Louise (10/5): Lovely property would highly recommend - Very clean and the facilities were great
- Krook (8/5): Very good - Lovely room with comfortable beds. Spacious for three people. Easy to find. The shower was upstairs and I was a little worried I would disturb other guests with an early shower.
- Julie (9/5): An excellent location and peaceful, comfy and tasteful place to stay for one or a family. - Everything A small wall mirror would have been helpful for putting on make up
- Gurjeet (10/5): Exceptional - Wow, experience it was... the host was just amazing with a sweet smile on her face. Would definitely recommend it. Nothing at all.....
- Rav (8/5): Fab stay close to Windsor - The room is large enough for a few days stay and includes the use of a down stairs toilet and upstairs bathroom. A small fridge in the kitchen is left for the use of guests as well as plates and cutlery.
The host provided a welcome pack of fruit, breakfast items and tea and coffee.
This is the first time staying where the host was also in the property however we were not made to feel uncomfortable and the host answered any questions we had.
The neighbours are also very friendly and the area seems very safe. All was good, I don’t think I realised there would be shared areas with the host however we were never made to feel uncomfortable and we were out exploring/ meeting family and friends.
- Carla (9/5): Bluebelle review - The host was accommodating and very friendly throughout our stay. We felt like we were staying with a family member. Would definitely stay here again. The lock on the door needs attending to a but no other issues apart from that.
- Emma (8/5): Very good - Great location for our main purpose of the trip, plenty to do nearby, host was very accommodating , kind and friendly. The room was nice, clean and the breakfast items were a nice touch
- Danusia (10/5): Lovely little gem - Very comfortable and clean, and the towels and bedding smelt lovely. Loved the little touches like chocolates on the bed and ginger bread men for the kids, buddleia flowers, motion censored lights, a great selection of breakfast items/hot drinks and snacks. Karin was lovely and checked if we needed anything else. Had a lovely walk around Bray Lake too. Thankyou for having us 😊 There was nothing we didn't like. Would definitely stay again.
- Carl (6/5): Pleasant -
- David (3/5): Would not recommend and overpriced. - Location One of the beds broke.
No tea spoons or spoons for porridge so couldn’t eat that.
No lock on door.
No light in toilet only sensor light.
Main bathroom was upstairs away from our accommodation, so was not used.
Broken pane of glass on the inside front door, did not make it feel safe.
Winter duvets only, do too hot. Thinner summer duvets needed.
- Kowsar (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice and clean 👌 ...100%recommend to every one ...
- Michelle (8/5): Very good - The location was very good for legoland and going to Windsor Castle. I was under the impression that we had more of the accommodation than we actually had. The photos made it look like 2 separate rooms when I fact it was only 1 long room. You could only use that room, a toilet and an upstairs shower room.
The host said that a few other people had been confused too and she thought she should maybe edit the advert.
- Agnieszka (3/5): Poor - Beds were clean, and booking dealt with our complain pretty well after our stay. AVOID! No locks or working locks on any door, no hot water on the first night, no pressure in the shower on the second night. No free access to the kitchen, had to argue and ask for plates, cutlery, little bit of space in the fridge.
You can not lock the door for the room you are in and there are other people in the house coming and going.
Felt unsafe, couldn't shower at all ( 5 of us staying all toghether) AVOID if u can
- Karen (2/5): Very Disappointing! - Difficult to find, breakfast consisted of breakfast bars and some pastries, no milk, no one there to greet us and delayed instructions on how to find the key on a baking hot afternoon, TV's didn't work, kitchen and dining room complete mess and jumble - washing drying everywhere, no lock on bathroom door or the room we were staying in, dirty wet used towel in toilet, no light in downstairs toilet, no hot water, towel hanger fell off the wall, the door to our room was glass panels with a piece of material velcro'd over . Presumably the microwave and kitchenware was in the kitchen - but you wouldn't want to cook anything in there - washing up left on draining board, washing half in machine and over the floor, work tops just jumbled - it really looked as though they had forgotten we were coming. No one rang to see if we had checked in ok and whether everything was ok but someone let themselves in at 7.30am the next morning, but made no attempt to speak to us, just went upstairs which all felt very creepy - we made a hasty retreat to a cafe at the nearby hospice! Would certainly never return here again!!
- Vicky (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dean (7/5): Dean - Comfortable and welcoming A distance from amenities
- Merrigan (10/5): Review of Bluebelle - Really clean and comfortable accommodation in a great location and great value for money. Also lovely pub The White Hart a mile away serving great food Nothing
- Alice (9/5): Superb - Spacious and clean room, thoughtfulness of the hostess Nothing
- Ben (7/5): Good -
- Lucy (7/5): Overnight stay - Close to Legoland, good for a night, easy to find and park outside. Friendly host Squeaky bed, very small fridge, light didn't seem to stay on in toilet.
- Lisa (8/5): Good as a last minute booking if you don't want a standard hotel. - A last minute booking.
Excellent value for a family, less so for single booking.
Host (as this was their home) very welcoming. Location - google map reference not accurate.
- Jessica (7/5): It was spacious enough for 5 of us, unfortunately we couldn’t say Thankyou or goodbye as we had to leave early as we was - It was convenient for where we needed to be, Karin was polite, welcoming and informative. Do feel like a bigger fridge is needed, we struggled to find property at first as we was looking for a ‘bluebelle’ sign.
- Greg (5/5): Passable - The host was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a prepackaged pastry and either an apple or banana. Maximum capacity of the fridge was one milk carton, too small to be of any practical use. The tv could not tune into any channels. No wardrobe for clothes storage. No lounge area to sit and relax.
- Rachel (9/5): Peaceful, quiet and comfortable with every need met. - The location of Bluebelle is quiet and peaceful and Karin, our hostess was helpful, friendly and kind, doing all she could to ensure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The facilities included everything we needed and when we requested a radio, Karin was quick to help us find exactly what we needed on the TV provided but also provided an additional radio. There was plenty of room for the four of us in the room and even for an additional person, had we had one with us! Two of us enjoyed our visit to the local pub, recommended by our hostess, also. A lovely, location and we will certainly remember it should we need to stay in the area again.
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (7/5): Pleasant stay handy for us has a family good location - Location was great and quiet Didn’t like there was no secure and not a solid door. Didn’t have a fridge which would have help when having milk . Bathroom and toilet separate but we didn’t mind . Host was on hand and was very happy to make our stay easy with pastry and snacks etc and anything we needed .
- Sarah (3/5): Expensive with very poor facilities - Good location and with parking. It was very clean and smelled lovely and fresh. The host was friendly and communicated quickly. Unfortunately the facilities were not good. Sensor light in bathroom kept turning off. The bedroom door consisted of a glass panel covered up with a sheet and had no lock. There was no milk or sugar for tea. The towel rack in the bathroom kept falling off. The breakfast was 4 porridge pots and pain au chocolate from a multiple pack. I paid £150 for this and felt like I was robbed. This room should be priced at £80 max with an advisory regarding the sheet covering the door. We basically stayed in someone's dinning room.
- Aeriol (8/5): Very good - The host was lovely The double bed was very uncomfortable
- Dennis (7/5): Comfortable, clean and Friendly. - Continental breakfast fine, Location near two major bus routes, Very friendly and accommodating owner, Public house 20 minutes walk away. Not having an ensuite Bathroom but it does provide a dedicated toilet and wash room.
- Robert (5/5): Nice lady who runs this hotel but facilities need updating. - Location was good for work. Bed didn't have a proper mattress making it uncomfortable to sleep on. No hot water in shower.
- Wasim (6/5): Pleasant - Probably not the right place for us. Small, not very inviting and no separate bathroom.
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katherine (8/5): Very good -
