• Jake (10/5): Stunning view - The best spot we stayed in. Amazing place, exceptional view. Words cannot express how good this place was. You can’t beat it. I would stay here repeatedly. Black out curtains in the bedroom would be cool.

• Jaeyoun (10/5): 꼭 다시 오고 싶은 숙소 No.1 - 집안 곳곳에 호스트의 세심한 배려가 느껴졌습니다. 필요한 모든 것(샴푸, 세제 등)이 다 있었고, 구명조끼와 스노클링 기어가 해변에서의 탐험을 더욱 즐겁게 만들어 주었습니다. 냉장고의 웰컴 드링크, 작은 초콜렛들과 커피, 티는 정말 이 집의 주인으로부터 환영받고 있다고 느끼게 해주었습니다. 주방의 그릇들도 모두 예뻐서 음식을 차려먹을 때도 기분을 더 낼 수 있었습니다. 침대도 편안했고, 베개와 이불도 모두 기분 좋은 촉감이었습니다. 원두를 갈아 내린 커피는 우리 가족의 아침을 더욱 향기롭게 만들어주었습니다. 오래된 집이었지만, 모든 것이 깨끗하고 편리하게 관리되고 있습니다. 나무로 만들어진 집만의 고요함과 따뜻함, 편안함이 느껴졌습니다. 언니들은 하루 일과를 마치고 사우나에서 땀을 빼면서 소소한 수다의 시간을 가졌습니다. 70대와 80대이신 부모님께서 이 집을 특히 좋아하셔서 더욱 뿌듯했습니다. 우리 가족의 여행을 더욱 특별하고 아름답게 만들어 주신 ASAHI의 호스트님께 진심으로 감사의 인사를 전하고 싶습니다. 거실의 조명이 조금 어두웠지만, 나름 운치 있었습니다. 화장실은 1층에 하나 뿐이라 연세가 많으신 부모님이 윗층에서 주무시다 새벽에 화장실에 가기는 조금 불편했습니다. 다음날은 아랫층에서 주무셔서 그 문제는 해결되었습니다.

• Daniel (10/5): Outstanding! - Outstanding! The only word I can use to describe ASAHi. the moment we checked in with my wife we decided to immediately extend our stay. The place is absolutely wonderful. It is a lovely holiday home, fully equipped with everything you may need for a long comfortable stay. The view from the living room is sublime. The beds are super comfy and you can enjoy a tranquil sleep while listening to the waves crashing on the shore in the background. the beach is literally across the small street from the entrance to the property and we had the beach all to ourselves. I love snorkeling and enjoyed exploring the reef , even swam with turtles. Inside the home there are masks and lifejackets for you to use in case you didn't bring your own. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything necessary to cook any meal imaginable. we Barbecued, tabletop grilled and missed nothing from how we live back in our own home. Coffee corner as well had a fresh cannister of coffee beans, a grinder and all you need to brew a fresh warm morning cup of coffee. The home also has a spacious bathroom and outdoor Sauna. We have traveled over 70 countries and stayed in some amazing places, but I would place ASAHi up there on the top 3 properties we ever stayed in. Ikei island is small and tranquil, and your mood immediately changes when entering ASAHi. It was a refuge for us from the hustle and bustle of other places on Okinawa island. Would easily arrange to fly back from Europe just to stay for a much longer period at this property. The owners where super responsive as well and delightfully helpful in all our questions. The home was spotlessly clean. It is a must visit if you're on Okinawa island. ASAHi was perfect. however visitors should be aware that Ikei is a really small rural location. it has no shops apart from a small village convenience store , however a large supermarket is only 20 mins drive away. The house has a lot of refrigerator and storage space for visitors to store their groceries and shopping so with one trip to the supermarket you can stay at ASAHi for days without the need to leave. Bonus: opposite Ikei beach is a roadside shack where a sweet old lady cooks some delicious soul-warming pork soba (only ¥700)- a must try.
