Guest Reviews

- Jennie (9/5): Wonderful apartment in a quaint town with everything you need! - The location was great - quiet little town with good options for breakfast close by. The beds and pillows were really comfortable and everything was very well equipped. The host was very responsive for any questions we had, and left a thorough guide with recommendations to enhance our stay. People do mention issues with the shower draining, we found that by slightly reducing the water pressure you could still take a great shower and have no problems with it. I would absolutely stay here again. The furniture in the living room (the chairs) were a bit uncomfortable, and the floors upstairs are very creaky so if you need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night you do create some noise. That being said, the bedroom doors block a lot of sound. There was one option for dinner in town but plenty in the neighboring towns (15-20 minute drive).

- Bettina (10/5): -
- Beverley (10/5): Lovely place to stay - It was a lovely place to stay and central for our requirements.
Rooms all comfortable large bathroom. The shower tray needs to be looked at
I do know we were advised of the issue however my husband has dementia so kept forgetting so we had a leak on one night.
- Sonja (9/5): - Gute Ausstattung, Supermarkt und Fleischer in der Nähe
- Michele (10/5): Lovely apartment. Very comfortable and good location. - EVERYTHING Nothing
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - We had a nice time, very good location, near to many attractions like Dundee, Stirling castle, Edinburgh, St Andrews and more. House is very comfortable and clean with everything what we needed. Very quiet place. Near shop, Chinese take away, Lindores Abbey Distillery and public park. Highly recommended!!
- Devon (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (8/5): We were visiting family over Christmas. This was a great property for our needs and would return. - Great location
Convenient to high street shops, pubs and take away
Comfy beds and spacious bedrooms.
Shower. Wi-Fi patchy and didn’t work upstairs most of the time
The lounge/diner is small and a bit squashy making it difficult for four sizeable adults to get cozy in front of the tv.
- Dorothy (9/5): Great apartment in a small quiet village. All clean, tidy with the amenities you would need. - The apartment had all items you would need while travelling especially the washing machine. The apartment was very clean and all appliances working. The location of the unit to the Main Street was an advantage also for shopping. We had a little difficulty in locating the place as there were two streets with the same name only one was a terrace. The navigation took us to the upper address and we had to check with a local where to go. Other than that no complaints.
- Shivangi (1/5): The staff was not at all adjusting, was having difficulty to find the location there was no staff or guide available to - The amenties The staff was not at all adjusting, was having difficulty to find the location there was no staff or guide available to help with this except on call and a local person helped us because the address on the property took us to a different street or lane and a local person came to our rescue talked to the property person available on call and then guided us. Secondly upon having issues either turning on gas i requested to come and help and show us but nobody turned up saying its 1 hour drive and thirdly requested for a late check out by just 1 hour which was also not adjusted and was told that we cant do 1 hour late check out.
So overall i didn’t feel very welcome at this accommodation though the property har all the amenities but the washroom was a major problem which water getting clogged in the shower area.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Apontech (10/5): Exceptional - The bed was very comfortable with smooth sheets. We had the best sleep we had in a while. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking including oven. Small supermarket near by. It is a good small town to use as a base during our road trip in Scotland near Perth, Dundee and St Andrews. The parking lot was a little difficult to find. Additional instructions from the host were needed for us to find it.
- Andrew (10/5): Lovely accommodation and ideal for travels around the Fife region. - Great location and premises. Nothing
- Anita (10/5): Exceptional - The property is a little hidden gem has everything you would need and more will be letting all my friends and family know can't wait to come back xx
- Billingham (9/5): Nice friendly town good communication - Quirky
Nice view Velux window I bumped my head in if
- Stephanie (8/5): Very good -
- Lorna (9/5): Relaxing & immensely enjoyable - location was perfect for visiting the surrounding area & the town itself was very pretty. The park just down the road was great for early morning walks with the dog before setting off to other places. The only issue I had was with the shower, I know there was a sign advising that it might be a problem, but it definitely is a problem, I was only in it for a couple of minutes before I noticed that that tray had already overflowed & water was heading towards the door. But it definitely did not have any negative impact on our stay, I just wouldn't want the beautiful bathroom to be spoiled.
- Duncan (10/5): A great place to stay when exploring Fife. - I loved the quirky look and feel of the property. A lot of the traditional character had been maintained despite it being brought up to a modern spec by the owners. The only thing I can think of is the upstairs squeaky floorboards but it did not put me off the property.
- David (8/5): good facilities and well stocked with equipment and well maintained - enjoyed stay -
- Grandimike (9/5): Comfortable and well equipped - The flat is very comfortable and well equipped throughout. The bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe and drawer space and both have a Freeview TV.
The bathroom is a delight with a plentiful supply of hot water on demand and good pressure for the lovely shower enclosed in its curved glass surround.
Downstairs the kitchen has all the utensils, crockery and glassware you should need and the lounge area has plenty of seating to watch the large TV which even has SkyTV on offer.
We used the flat to visit relatives in Newburgh and will certainly revisit next time. The weather could have been lots better but we can hardly blame the owners for that!!
- Kathleen (9/5): Superb -
- Ollie (10/5): Lovely home from home! - Lovely home from home, everything we could have needed! Thanks! Nothing
- Caroline (10/5): Comfortable and easy. Clean. Everything you need and some lovely touches (biscuits and coffee) - Perfectly clean and well equipped. There is not really anything to criticise. We will try to stay here again, for sure! It was a little cold in the living room but easily solved by bringing a transportable heater down from upstairs. Also, the heating was easy to adjust so it soon warmed up.
- Maree (10/5): Perfect for a family weekend away, would definitely return! - Spacious and comfortable Nothing
- Darryl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clark (10/5): Such a fantastic location and the house itself is great in every aspect. Emma was a great host! - Location great and house itself lovely.
- Karen (7/5): Good -
- Margaret (9/5): Perfect flat in lovely part of Scotland - The flat was well situated to explore this part of Fife. 1 minute walk to main street, 5 minute walk to beautiful park overlooking the Tay. 2 minute drive to whisky distillery, 5 minutes to farm shop and cafe. The decor was fresh and modern and flat very clean.. Facilities were perfect. Fitted kitchen with large fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Large bathroom with walk in shower. TV in main living area and in both bedrooms. WiFi and lots of USB ports throughout. Dining area and comfortable sofa and two cute chairs. Beds were very comfortable. Contact with host was remote but they answered queries quickly and were very accommodating. Stairs weren't suitable for elderly mum, but that was our error for not checking before booking. That said, they were low tread, wide with good bannisters, so she managed them.
- Jenny (10/5): Lovely place to stay in lovely Newburgh - Really lovely place to stay and had everything we needed. Perfect location in Newburgh.
- Samia (9/5): Superb -
- Donna (10/5): Lovely comfortable stay - Great location in lovely Newburgh close to Fife coastal path and super walks. We were attending festival in scone but east access via taxi. Lovely apartment and very comfortable. We will return. Thank you Emma. Nothing at all!
- Zoe (10/5): Perfect - A beautiful house in a beautiful location. Only a 30 minute drive to St Andrews, if we are ever staying in the area again I would definitely book here. Was perfect for our family. Nothing
- Karina (9/5): Superb - Nice welcome basket, all nice rooms, nice host, close to store. Our girls loved to have their own tv in their room. Would have prefered more comfortable chairs at the dining table.
- Steve (9/5): Superb - Great location easy access to country side. Really nice apartment
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynne (10/5): Excellent home from home & will definitely return again - Would have been better with a bit of garden to sit out in this fab weather
- David (7/5): Good -
- Daniel (9/5): great base - Lovely apartment within 30 minutes of St Andrews and dunkeld. everything you need for a base. nothing of note
- Lucy (9/5): Superb - The house was just lovely. Really comfy beds, great facilities and just a short walk from Lindores distillery and a lovely pub with secluded beer garden. Nothing we didn't like :)
- Robert (9/5): Superb - The location was perfect for us attending a family wedding at Lindores. The rooms were comfortable and well specified.
Parking facilities and close proximity to town centre and walks along the Riverside. After booking I discovered the host had actually cancelled my twin sisters booking (for the same wedding) and raised the price for ourselves (disgraceful profiteering) which left a very bad taste.
My sister was left with a commute from Livingstone and my booking was non-cancellable.
This sort of behaviour should not be allowed through Booking.com.
- Caroline (7/5): Good -
- Yvonne (9/5): This was a perfect place for us. - Lovely accommodation, and a very communicative owner, which was fantastic. The towel heater in the bathroom was almost burning hot. I’ve since let the owner know and she was very responsive.
- Louise (10/5): Lovely apartment Dog friendly - Great Location beautiful kept apartment.
Amazing big bathroom, huge rooms.
Dog friendly, cute. No garden so have to go out with dogs for toilets, had a pup still going through night, need to lead up. But not a big issue Not host issue.
- John (9/5): Lovely place for a short family stay. - Comfy beds, Netflix, stylishly decorated. Plenty of consumables. Nothing particularly to improve on.
- Alanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dave (10/5): Exceptional - Immaculate, comfortable, good size, nice style. Great stay Location great. Very comfortable home away from home
- Douglas (10/5): As I said it was beautiful and would definitely stay again. - The location was great for going to Perth and fife. The house was really nice with great amenities and style. We loved everything about the house. Plenty room for my family of three. Loved the bedrooms and bathroom. Would buy the house if I could. Nice local pub THE ABBEY INN was really friendly too. Only a couple of issues for us. The TV in one of the bedrooms wasn't linked to an Ariel.
The town was a bit sparse for things to do at nite.
- Wendy (9/5): Superb -
- Toni (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly host
Comfy surroundings
Clean and tidy Having to go home!
- Isobel (10/5): it was a perfect choice. - This property was very clean and tidy and well equipped. The host was extremely helpful and on hand. Bathroom is very spacious.. A great welcome pack and plenty of soap, shampoo, washing powder and dishwasher tablets . lovely decor too. Beds very comfy. Great decor. comfortable. Great towels and beds very comfy.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - A very pleasant few days break. Lovely property, very well presented with everything needed for a break with the kids.
- Krista (9/5): Great stay - Well located accommodation, nicely furnished with all necessary amenities and some additions like the books and board games. Obviously this is clearly stated when booking, but the 10am checkout time felt a little bit early, especially with the request to strip the beds etc!
- Dorothy (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about flat, all wee things that were left to use. Nothing.
- Stephen (9/5): Superb - Loved the flat, very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Real home from home and our son and dog loved it too. Newburgh is a quiet and lovely little town very picturesque and great for dog walking. Would highly recommend both to others. The only issue is the shower, which is brilliant, but the water can easily flow over shower lip and flood the floor. Maybe a warning could be placed in the quest book? But fantastic bathroom.
- Helen (10/5): Top quality accommodation. - Exceptional customer service and immaculate beautiful accommodation.
- Jackie (10/5): Lovely apartment with comfortable beds in a pretty village with good amenities - Lovely accommodation in a beautiful village with all amenities on the door step. Couldn’t find fault with this apartment
