- Faye (4/5): Fine if you are desperate & like student accommodation - Location was great. Check in was easy. We were very disappointed when we arrived at Sandlings for a family holiday, the photos are clearly very old. When we arrived some rooms had clearly not been cleaned, with dirty towels / clothes left behind the sofa, showing this hadn’t been moved out & cleaned behind. The bathroom toilet brush was absolutely vile & there was a damp smell in most of the house. There was also a broken curtain pole that had just been left unfixed with broken blinds that let light in. A dining room chair was also broken & one of our guests nearly fell to the floor. There were slugs that came in from somewhere in the kitchen at night, possibly again down to damp. The letting company were good & gave us a small refund & offered to attempt some fixing but this isn’t what you want when you are on holiday for 3 nights & it should have been done for our arrival. The bathroom was also missing a bath mat making it dangerous when climbing onto a slippy floor with wet feet! Both toilet doors need fixing as they stick.
