- Ansley (9/5): - The place is comfortable and convenient. Though it's in a very touristic area, it is not very noisy. The bathroom shower could be fixed, also cleaned properly as there's mold growing in the shower.
- Joaquin (9/5): Comfortable place in excellent location at a reasonable price. - The location is great to visit most of the must-see locations. And almost next door to the Gelateria del teatro, one of the renowned ice cream places in Rome. The beds were comfortable and the place was roomy. The kitchen could have more cutlery and crockery.
- Eszter (7/5): Good - Location Stairs
- Libor (8/5): Very good - Excelent location. Good size even for five people. Shower not working properly. Sometimes loud at evening. 74 steep stairs without elevator.
- Abraham (7/5): Good -
- Emil (5/5): With €20k investment you could make this place a 5 star. Don’t miss that chance to have higher revenue, more satisfied g - Location is fantastic. A bit or charm as well. very easy and pleasant check in and check out. Thank you Raffaele. AC not adequate for the kitchen area. Washroom sink moves. Handheld Shower head didn’t work. Bathroom sink was not connected properly. Kitchen sink leaked. Fridge had no handle. No TV remote. Overall dirty and old. Very old furniture. Uncomfortable mattresses.
- Tunc (5/5): You really can not beat the location. Great price for group stays but the hygenie could be improved - Excellent location The hygenie could be improved. The sheets had stains, some of the spoons were kinda dirty, there were plenty of spider webs near the ceiling
- Hoseluis (9/5): Superb - The location was great! It's close to many attractions and shops. We needed extra sheets and they got them for us on the same day. There was a wardrobe and cupboards. And there were soaps and shower gels for each one of us. The blinds did a good job stopping the sunlight. The streets were quite noisy in the evening.
- Valeria (7/5): Good -
- Heather (9/5): Fantastic base to explore Rome. - Fantastic location and historic, spacious property. Perfect for a family of five. Good restaurants close by. Small balcony. Easy to get to Rome’s main attractions by foot. It can be a little noisy outside at times - but then it is central Rome.
- Ana (9/5): We would recommend it to others looking for convenient access to the sights of Rome. - Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at "Domizio" and our experience was delightful. The description of the accommodation was entirely accurate, which was a huge relief as it matched every detail mentioned.
The accommodation was a blend of comfort and Italian charm. The clean and well-appointed interior perfectly complemented the view of the city's historic buildings. The amenities provided were exactly as described, making our stay hassle free.
Domizio resides in a picturesque little alley, filled with many unique shops, offering a genuine and beautiful atmosphere that adds to the overall experience. The accessibility to nearby attractions added immense value to our experience. Being in such a central location allowed us to explore Rome's wonders effortlessly, making our stay both convenient and memorable.
The host, Ludovico, was incredibly patient, especially considering our family's varied needs. He warmly welcomed us and patiently answered all our questions, ensuring that we settled in comfortably. His kindness and attentiveness made our stay all the more enjoyable. It should be noted that the building in which the apartment is located does not have an elevator and the stairs are really difficult to climb.
- Denisse (9/5): Superb -
- Daniel (9/5): Excelent location and confortable for a family - Excelent location, 5 minutes from piazza navona or castel sant Angelo, perfect for a family of 5, all kinds of restaurants, take away places nearby. Air conditioner, comfy beds and even the couch was really good once open for the kids. Great communication with the staff vía WhatsApp, both checking in and out nice and easy. Would definitely repeat. Nothing to say, just beware that It is a 4th floor but we already expected that
- Cindy (9/5): Overall it's a very nice apartment stay except the initial checkin issue with the owner. - The location is very good. The apartment is very clean, big and super nice with beautiful view on the balcony.
The gentleman who checked us in was very nice and provided a lot of info regarding local food and restaurants. There's no response from the owner for several hours around checkin hours. Eventually it's resolved after several phones even finally through booking.com (very scary since it's getting more and more dark)
As other reviewers mentioned it's truly a long and steep stairs to climb, so be aware when booking it.
- R (6/5): Great location, 2 ACs - Location is fantastic! Walking distance to any attraction. 2 AC in the unit made a huge difference during +40C heat wave. Host is super nice. Beds are comfortable. Old building, top floor under the roof is charming but don’t think we would go for old building charm anymore.
- Byeongwook (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kyuhyeok (3/5): Poor - location was good. Overall the room was not clean. The inside of the washing machine had so much mold that it didn't smell good. I had to clean it separately to use the washing machine. The bathroom had a lot of mold and was not clean at all.
The structure of the room and facilities itself were the same as shown in the photos, but it doesn't seem to be kept clean overall.
And there is no elevator even though it's 4th floor. If you have heavy luggages, you will have hard time to move them to the room.
- Karin (5/5): Passable - The property was in a fantastic location. comfy beds. there are around 70 very steep steps to get to the apartment. there is no elevator. there was hardly any water pressure. barely enough to shower properly.
- Julian (8/5): Very good - Location, cleanliness, secured, pleasant staff,
Restaurants, shops nearby. Climbed 6 flight of stairs. No elevator, but no big deal.
- Djifa (8/5): Great location - clean and proper property, could be safer. - The location, the staff being responsive, the fact that it reflected what was announced. Although expected the 4 floors * not the property fault... they mentionned it everywhere.
There is not dish cloths
The metal bar to climb up to the bed fell the first time my 7 year old tried to climb up. Emmanuel came quuckly to fix this, but it needs a better permanent solution for it yo be safe. We held the bar all the time just to be sure it wouldn't fall again on someone's head.
- Greg (9/5): Amazing place. Would stay again. However not for someone that doesn’t like walking up lots of steps. - Great location. In walking distance to all the main attractions. Lots of stairs to climb. 72 in fact.
the shower head wasn’t the best.
- Odedra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alisa (8/5): Very good - Very stylish and authentic, the way we like. Stairs are no problem for us, steep stairs to the upper bed were ok for our daughter. This apartment has all potential for a 10 but it's max a 8 due to issues that can be solved Lots of little ants in the kitchen. Shower as everyone writes. Nowhere to hang coats by the door
- Laura (8/5): Very close to all the attractions, we only walked everywhere. Clean apartment. Good communication. -
- Glenn (9/5): Superb - The property is located in the middle of the Ponte neighborhood, steps from the historic Via del Coronari. Many of the major tourist stops (Vatican, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona) are within a 10 minute walk, and the Colosseum/Roman Forum are about a 25 minute walk. City buses are frequent and can take you practically anywhere you want to go. The neighborhood is full of excellent places to eat.
As far as the apartment, the room is spacious for two people. A lofted bed platform is available above the "main" bed if you're traveling with kids or another couple, though it doesn't offer much privacy. We were worried about street noise interrupting our sleep, but the windows blocked out most of it, and the nightlife had died down by the time we went to bed anyway. The apartment is on the 4th floor, and the stairs are quite unwelcome at the end of the day.
Make sure you let the host know your ETA ahead of time. We didn't, and had to call and then wait about 15 minutes for him to show up.
