• Saddaf (7/5): First time experience - Our first time visiting Papillon, it was a lovely experience. The bungalow is beautiful & spacious. The internal of the bugalow was clean, with all required kitchen amenities available. The sunshining through all areas, was fabulous. Especially when outside of the front & back seating areas. Felt safe within an enclosed front gate with private parking out front. Messaging with owner was resposive via the booking app. Locating the bungalow was tricky, (a sign on the gate or wall would be helpful), we had to ask locals and the neighbour, as when attemping to call the owner x2 it went straight to answerphone. To open the black sliding gate, requires some physical strength. The hot tub was unclean, with dark bits floating in the water, and waterline appeared dirty, so did not feel comfortable enjoying it for longer than 20minutes, which was a shame for the financial expenses for booking.
• DANIEL (9/5): Great stay - We stayed only one night. Property has a lot of character, it was clean, kitchen well equipment. Sauna and hot tub as a bonus. Nothing to complain of.

• Clare (7/5): Great place but a few tweaks would have made it exceptional. - Great peaceful location. Very clean and comfortable with a luxurious feel . The hot tub wasn’t warm on arrival and we believe it had tripped which is unfortunate. As we found the circuit board in kitchen . The log burner takes a while to heat so if this was lit maybe a little prior to arrival that would have been great . There were no condiments in the kitchen. And no basic tea , coffee or milk supplied . The Dish washer wouldn’t shut so we had to leave our dishes for the owners to sort unfortunately.

• Lauren (9/5): Luxurious Stay - This was the perfect place for 4 friends to have a girls night in, the hot tub was great. It felt a very luxurious, relaxing stay, everything was thought of. The instructions before were very clear. We said we'd definitely like to come again! Some of the cups and plates were a bit dirty, could have been from not being in use for a while? And at 5am we all woke up really hot and struggled with the heating. But these things would not prevent us from staying again.

A vacuum or broom would be handy with better utensils selection (no spatula for example)

• Janene (10/5): - It is a beautiful cottage very spacious, lovely decorated throughout. The outside area has lots of seating,bbq with outdoor sink,jacuzzi and a sauna. Access to tennis court which we used. I would recommend a stay at Papillon.
• jill (9/5): Beautiful private home to relax with friends. - The house was very private, and really beautiful. Check in was very straight forward thanks to instructions provided. We loved the hot tub! It was a very peaceful place to relax and meet up with friends. There was no bin bag in the bin.

Hot tub was lovely to relax in. Bathrooms were beautiful. Host was lovely when we needed the WiFi password and hadn't seen the welcome book 🙈 would definitely stay again!

• Sachi (8/5): Lovely house with great facilities. - Lovely house, great for a relaxing weekend. Lovely facilities. Hot tub was a definite bonus. Basic items, like coffee pods for the coffee machine are usually available in most places, or shampoo, even if you pay a small supplement. Same would apply for the sauna wood and firelighters. Once we had arrived, we didn't want to go back out as we wanted to make the most of the time there. A few little things just felt a little like they hadn't been thought about, broken bed frame, dead plant, creaky cheap mattress in the twin room, small towels and no bathrobes when there is a hot tub and sauna, no hooks for towels anywhere, dead batteries in the remote control and there was someone else's false nail in the hot tub. It could be an absolutely fantastic place with a few little tweaks.

• Sally (7/5): A good place to relax - The decor was lovely and the garden was enclosed. The sauna was lovely as was the hot tub albeit a bit battered. The BBQ wasn’t working and it took awhile to get that sorted. Not a lot of real cooking equipment.
• Victoria (9/5): Superb - Lovely quite location, accommodation is beautiful and had everything we needed for a weekend of chilling. Had some difficulty opening the gate, which we sorted. But when I called the number given on the website for assistance no one answered and I was never called back.

• Katie (10/5): Absolutely brilliant stay at Pappilon - The house was gorgeous. Beautiful decor all round, the bath was incredible and the rest of the house has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. You can hear the main road when sleeping, but that’s not too much of a problem.

• Rachel (10/5): Absolutely beautiful! - Absolutely loved the whole place! Spotless & definitely had the wow factor! Only downside was no door mats at the front or back door (inside) me and my partner both slipped over & a mat would of easily solve the problem
• Joanna (10/5): Exceptional - Great place to relax! Cottage located in a quiet, secluded area - ideal for relaxation away from noise. A big plus is the possibility of staying with a dog. The interior is clean, warm and cozy. An additional advantage is the sauna with jacuzzi. The hosts are very nice and hospitable. Wi-Fi, works without a problem. We recommend to anyone looking for peace and quiet and spending time with friends.

Lovely bathrooms, kitchen and bedrooms, and the jacuzzi was a huge plus for our stay. Would highly recommend to anyone stopping through! No shower gel and shampoo but we managed.

• Lisa (9/5): Beautiful house really enjoyed our stay over Christmas - The house was constructed and furnished to a very high standard. Bathrooms kitchen were amazing. House was very clean and welcoming on arrival decorated with Christmas tree and decorations ready. Was 15 min drive to Sherwood Forest or clumber park for a nice dog walk in the mornings. Without being petty nothing is worth a mention

Sauna wasn’t on and no instructions to get it working. Oven was really unclean and washing machine was unusable due to being unclean and the smell.
