Guest Reviews
- Audrey (7/5): - Welcoming hosts, excellent food, comfortable and heated room, hot shower, tidy facilities shared with hosts. I did spy a rat scuttling along the wall while I was eating dinner.
As a female sole traveller, a lockable door would have been appreciated.
The room has only one power plug, so I had to choose between the heater or charging my phone.
- Cem (10/5): Absolut empfehlenswert!
- David (10/5): Best view around! - Friendly hosts, great (and lots) of food, and the best view from a guesthouse around! All good
- Stephen (4/5): Animal cruelty - The only positive was hot water in the shower and the WiFi was decent and the gardens alright Staff barely said hello, one member of staff told me 50 for both dinner and breakfast 25 for either I choose dinner and the next morning another member of staff claims dinner is 35 but still 50 for both when I suggest having breakfast she claims it's 25 for breakfast but still 35 for dinner
pure pack of cowboys. Added to this if you love animal cruelty this is the guesthouse for you dog chained up barking for 18 hours straight nice to know booking.com supports this. Overall it was a horrible stay.

- Guest (10/5): Great food! Everyone was very kind! -
- Conrad (8/5): - Very good location and value. Food came in large quantities and the outside space is great to relax. Worth noting that English isn't really spoken but this wasn't an issue and the hosts seem very kind.
- Faye999 (8/5): - Host was friendly and helpful. The host was chatting pretty late with the family/friends in the living room and they charged us 40GEL more than the original room fee.
- Jiří Herinek (9/5): - Nice garden with mountain views. Tasty dinner.

- Yechiel (9/5): - Owner was great very helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable
We really enjoyed our stay it was everything we needed and more the rooms are not very privet but this is very expectable for a place like Zhabeshi.
We really enjoyed our stay it was everything we needed and more
- HYOSUB (8/5): - 일찍 도착하여 해머에 누워 일몰을
감상 할수있다 룸에 창문이 조그마하고 커텐이 쳐져 환기가 안되여 답답 하였다
- Amanda (8/5): Very good - Nice garden to chill out in, with hammocks, The owner didn't really try to interact with guests, perhaps because of the language barrier. My room did not have a window so was quite stuffy, but fine for one night.
- Fred (10/5): Great place to recover after a hard hike - Fafo was very communicative. Fafo was great cook and provided a hearty meal after a hard day. The common area outside was really special. Fafo's guesthouse is also located at a great spot on the classic hiking trail. We were welcomed as family and would love to visit again. nothing
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional - This is a lovely guesthouse in a beautiful village with an exceptionally nice family, and the food was excellent! Everything was great

- Tanian13 (9/5): Great value for money and a little haven after day one from Mestia! - Lovely owner, she doesn't speak much English but will go out of her way to help. She is also a great cook! The bed was comfortable with plenty of warm blankets. Not the property's fault, but I was the only guest when I stayed so I missed the social element. Also, it is a bit out of town, but that makes it a great starting point for the day two hike to Adishi!
- Adrian (9/5): Superb - excellent value for money, nice garden and kind hosts
- Timour (9/5): Superb - Great place to stop on the trail from Mestia to Usghuli. The room was super comfortable and dinner was really good.
- Agathe (9/5): Amazing stay in Zhabeshi, I recommend! - Super nice and welcoming family. They didn’t have any change for me and went to their neighbors to borrow some money so that I could stay. The dinner was amazing, there was plenty of food and on top of that she offered me some tea and cakes.
- Ahmed (7/5): Good -
- Aubrey (8/5): Great stay on the trail! - Very clean, good hot water for the shower. Lots of food and when requested she made food for our dietary restrictions.
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional - Very kind family and host! Really nice food and comfortable stay
- Jessica (9/5): Hot shower, plentiful dinner and breakfast - As of September 22nd, this guest house was 80 laris which included a bed, dinner, and breakfast. Just a heads up because going in reason other reviews I thought it would only be 60 laris. The shower is nice and hot and one of the only places where the shower isn’t connected to the toilet without a door which was nice. The dinner was plentiful and you got a lot of food. The kids are fun to play with and we enjoyed a night of card games with the children. I would recommend this place for a first night on the trail. 80 laris which wasn’t advertised on booking.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - The best guesthouse of our Mestia to Ushguli trek. Genuinely the best food of the trip too (a month+ in Georgia). Generous, delicious meals. Recommend highly!
- Assa (6/5): Pleasant - Nice garden Basic family guesthouse, no central room to meet. dinner and breakfast were not exceptional, very basic and not fresh.
- Esther (9/5): Superb - Had a great stay! 70 lari for a bed, dinner and breakfast
- Thorsten (10/5): Treat yourself to a nice stay after your first day of your hike, including tons of delicious food. - Best guesthouse on the four day hike from Mestia to Ushguli. Super friendly family. Tons of delicious food at fair prices.
Nice location, clean bathroom.
- Golcz (10/5): Exceptional - The area outside the house is perfect to relax. The house is so clean and meals are very delicious. It’s quiet in the evening and beds are very comfortable. I recommend it 100%
- Robert (10/5): Great place to stay on the trek from Mestia to Ushguli - Cozy
Friendly host
Great dinner and breakfast
Lovely garden with hammocks
Comfortable beds Nothing
- Julia (9/5): Superb - Very clean, friendly family and good food!
- Lukas (10/5): Fantastic food and very kind and helpful hosts - On this first day of the Ushguli hike I decided to do a detour and hike up a 3350 m mountain on the way. It was a fantastic, but we miscalculated the time so me and the other two hikers I met arrived back in the valley at 21:00 when it was already dark. In these conditions it was impossible to walk the remaining 5 km to Zhabeshi.
I called this accomodation and asked if they could fix a taxi for me and the two other hikers. As they didn't speak English very well they asked someone at the hostel to talk to me on the phone. They fixed everything for us in a lovely way. First they called a guesthouse close to where we camr doen to the valley, and this host drove me to Zhabeshi and the two others toMestia for 50 Lari each.
When I arrived I got a very warm welcome and dinner from heaven - many choices and everything very well made.
I really recommend this place from all my heart - the hosts are helpful and kind, the food is fantastic and the rooms are also comfy. So if you have a problem just ask the locals- they really help you with almost anything.

The bathroom was spotless and lots of hot water. Good wifi. Dinner and breakfast were full of different dishes, lots of veggies. The complimentary bottle of chacha at dinner was a nice touch. HAMMOCKS!! Best price I payed on the hike as well. Stay here. nothing. all good.
- Fallon (9/5): Superb - Wonderful stay with Fafo and her family. She is an amazing cook! A true family home, very comfortable atmosphere. Nothing! Only it should be noted that the price per person including dinner, breakfast and room was 60€. So the booking price and whether you are sharing a room with a partner/friend doesn’t really matter. Totally worth it though and absolutely still good value for stay.
