Guest Reviews
- Alex (10/5): Great stay in the beautiful area - We absolutely loved the place. Very comfy, clean and spacious. We made a really good use out of the bathtub. Great views around the cottage. Gudrun was very helpful to solve a couple of minor issues. We also had a dinner at the lodge and it was absolutely delicious.
- Guest (10/5): Stunning landscape, beautiful home, worth the money for your group of 6 if you can splurge a little! - Remote enough for a peaceful stay but close to the Westfjords and Snæfellsness. Absolutely stunning mountain views from the home. Private bathrooms with showers in each of the 3 bedrooms plus another small bathroom with a toilet and sink in the shared hallway made showering and getting ready so easy. Well designed, beautiful home. The on site restaurant just up the road had the best food we ate in iceland. The host Gudren made us feel like family and shared maps and lots of information and suggestions with us, along with some local history. The cook Daria was also friendly and informative, taking time to tell us about the local farmers and help us with Icelandic pronunciations. We could have spent a whole week here easily. Just beware the hot tub takes about 3 hours to fill if you want to use it - they don't use chlorinated water and it's not heated or insulated so it just fills with hot water for each use and then you drain it. That's preferable for me but you do have to plan ahead.
- Amy (10/5): - The location was perfect for us. It was in a beautiful area and very quiet. The house was very clean and well maintained . The hostess was very kind and made herself available for any questions. I would stay again.
