• Burcu (8/5): Eine insgesamt sehr gemütliche und gut gelegene Unterkunft mit einladendem Ambiente und guter Erreichbarkeit, jedoch kle - Insbesondere der Eingangsbereich ist sehr einladend gestaltet. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und gut geschlafen. Mit dem Auto konnten wir problemlos viele Ausflugsziele erreichen. Die Gegend ist ein wahres Träumchen! Insgesamt können wir die Unterkunft definitiv empfehlen. Meistens waren keine Ansprechpartner vor Ort, jedoch konnten wir sie über Booking.com gut erreichen. Wir mussten das Auto vor der Unterkunft parken, was nicht wirklich sicher bzw. gesichert ist.

• Jelena (10/5): Toller Aufenthalt - Kim ist eine sehr herzliche, aufmerksame Gastgeberin. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und wären gerne länger geblieben. Für den Weg ins Zentrum kann man sich kostenfrei Fahrräder nehmen. Das Auto konnte wir auf dem abgeschlossenen Gelände parken. Der Pool ist perfekt um sich zwischendurch abzukühlen. Wir hatten ein sehr schönes, sauberes Zimmer mit großem Bad direkt am Pool. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet und wir haben sie uns mit einer weiteren Einheit geteilt. Wir haben einmal Frühstück bei Kim bestellt und es war sehr lecker und den Preis von 3000 Colones pro Person absolut wert.
• karen (9/5): A really relaxing stay with a quiet pool and a good breakfast - Kim and her mum were really friendly and welcoming. The pool was quiet and really nice to relax in, even in the rain. The bedroom was small but comfortable. Kim made a good breakfast. Lots of care had been taken with the decor and the murals inside the rooms and around the communal spaces. Nothing major, but I kept walking into one of the lampshades in the bedroom because it was hanging very low between the bed and the bathroom. It looked good though.

Pool was beautiful and much appreciated. Walls were a bit thin but not a major problem. Not a big fan of the communal fridge as it requires honour and my neighbors were found lacking.

I couldn’t have asked for better communication or a warmer welcome. Kim is a gracious host and her dog Billy Dee stole my heart with his morning visits.

I really liked the garden, full of plants and deeply cared, which gifted me an immersive experience. the room was clean and we had a private garden in the bathroom close to the private pool. I think some details could improve the overall experience. the private pool was very beautiful and with warm water, though we only used it once because the strong chlorine affected us badly. the lightening in the accommodation is cold and lack of low lights

• Keara (10/5): Heartwarming and peaceful escape - I felt right at home at Mecca and 10/10 recommend to all. I stayed about a week and felt I had the perfect balance of peaceful time to myself lounging by the pool or petting the dogs in the common area and social time, chatting with the owner Kim and her family who were visiting and were kind enough to extend invites to share time with them. Outside of my time spent in Mecca, I also liked that there were bikes I could take to explore and we were close to a restaurant with a nice beach view, live music and a bar. Plus, Kim gave recommendations of where to eat, what to do in the area and how to get around. Plus since I overlapped with Thanksgiving, I got to be a part of a black expat Friendsgiving and family festivities which was very nice as a solo traveler.

• Inez (9/5): - Wir hatten das Casa de Flores gebucht und waren vom ersten Moment an begeistert. Kim ist unglaublich herzlich und man merkt ihr an, dass sie ihren Job mit Leidenschaft und Freude macht. Wenn man einen Pooltag macht, überrascht sie einen mit Frozen Drinks. Der Bungalow, die Zimmer sowie die Außenbereiche sind unglaublich stilvoll eingerichtet und man darf den Pool auch am späten Abend noch benutzen. Wir haben uns bei Kim sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder bei ihr einchecken! Ein kleines Manko war, dass der Ort Puerto Viejo zu Fuß ein kleines Stück entfernt ist. Allerdings geht man hier am Playa Negra entlang, was den Spaziergang im Endeffekt doch kurzweilig macht. Ansonsten lassen sich überall Fahrräder mieten, bzw. kann man bei schlechtem Wetter für kleines Geld ein Uber buchen.

Los desayunos estuvieron increíbles y por solo $6, una excelente opción si no se quiere cocinar. Es un poco incómodo moverse a las playas sin vehículo, Pero se resuelve con bicicleta o contratando un Uber o Tuktuk

• Ann (9/5): We had a wonderful stay! - Our room was comfortable with a good view of the pool. The entire property was aesthetically pleasing and a lovely place to relax. Kim is warm and welcoming and very helpful with her knowledge of places in Puerto Viejo.
• Skyers (10/5): Stunning, quaint, cultural, intimate - I stayed at Casita de Flores (the one-bedroom cottage). It was beautiful. The decor and layout were great and perfect for one person. There's AC, not fan, which is appreciated. Also, the grounds are lovely, very cultural and intimate. The owner Kim showed us around and gave a tour of the two-bedroom cottage and the area. It's Black owned (from an American woman), which I liked and wanted to support. I'm glad I did. The only thing that could have been better was the location. It wasn't bad at all; very close to the downtown area. It's about 2-3 minutes in a tuk-tuk or 10-15 minutes on a bike; otherwise, the walk may take about 30 minutes. I didn't find it convenient if I wanted to go back and forth between my room to freshen up. If you're really trying to experience the action of PV and be in a comfortable walking distance of restaurants and bars, I wouldn't stay here as my first choice. However, the space was a very welcome change from the downtown hotels... very much a treat.

You got everything you need for cooking. Bed is comfortable. Missing a few hang hooks for the towel but otherwise all very comfortable. The pool is super nice. Kim, the host, is very accommodating and you ll received a warm welcome From her and her dogs. The house is about 10 minutes walk from the beach and a grocery store. 30 minutes walk from Puerto viejo so close enough to walk but far enough to enjoy a little peace and quiet if needed. Surrounded by a lovely garden and pool. Great location. 10 min walk to beach and 20 min walk into town, I walked home a couple of times. You can actually walk most of the way on the beautiful black sand beach. Easy to get Tuk Tuk if you prefer.
• Amber (6/5): Pleasant - Kim is a positive, enthusiastic and resourceful host who’s there when you need it. We were able to refill our bottles of water whenever we asked for it. Also, the pool is nice to cool down after a warm day. It is located next to a busy road, and we were not able to park our car on the property (only accessible for very high SUVs). The rooms are small and have thin walls. Although we did enjoy our time here, we believe the price/quality ratio is a little bit off compared to all other accommodations we have stayed at in CR.

Very beautiful close to town and didn’t feel like hotel but home the same time very stylish and comfortable. Hotel owner is very helpful and friendly. Properties design.Lovely 10 /10 Clean and swimming pool is also lovely
