Guest Reviews
- Jack (8/5): Quirky and fun - Unique accommodation that will make you feel like medieval royalty. Quirky and fun and guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Just as a warning it's quite small (just the 1 room for everything)
- Jay (10/5): -
- cottam (10/5): Beautiful - The property was gorgeous, lovely little room. Need a jug to fill the kettle xxxx
- Thomas (9/5): - Bed was super comfy and location was perfect. Struggled getting out of the bath!
- Matthew (9/5): -
- Button (5/5): It was a great location, adequate if you aren’t planning on spending much time in the room. - The location was perfect, it was very handy for the old town shops and the sea front all in easy walking distance. The milk had gone off and it was impossible to fill the kettle. A jug / bottle of water would have been really handy.
The shower was not enclosed so very difficult to keep the water from going everywhere and nowhere to put bottles down.
- Grace (7/5): Good -
- Jason (7/5): Good -
- Jackie (9/5): Superb -
- Dunne (2/5): Not good - The only good thing was the bed Shower was to small couldn't use it. How do u fill the kettle up. Ended up filling bottles up to fill the it up with. Information was lacking 14th oct is bon fire night in Hastings thanks to the stag inn staff or our car would of got damaged and towed away because of the absolutely massive parade that came up all saints that night no one told us about that in the welcome pack. Im so angry about that night if wasn't for the fact we were picking up my partner's mother the following day we would of gone home that night it spoilt the whole break. I will never stay there again no heating freezing in the mornings and no where to sit apart from the bed. Plus a door connection to the main house that you could hear everything through not exactly what i would call private. Found dog hair and long humans hairs all over bed and pillows aswell. Not a happy bunny.
- Phillips (5/5): A great location and very character-full but not very practical. - Location was excellent. The place had a lot of character. It was very small with nowhere to sit except on the bed - I don't think two people could manage in there. There was almost nowhere to put anything, no hair dryer or TV. The advertised 'kitchenware' was minimal - one glass, two bowls and two mugs. There should be a warning about the shower as people with mobility issues would find it difficult to access.
- Steve (9/5): Fabulous location hosted by a lovely, friendly and kind - Location is absolutely brilliant. Right in the best and most interesting part of Hastings. East to get to the beach and the fantastic antique and "junk" shops. Lots of places nearby for drinks and food. Pub directly opposite is brilliant. Zoe was really helpful and friendly and quick to answer any queries. Great, private outdoor space to eat and relax in, weather permitting. En suite is very unusual but all works a treat. Fridge and fan are thoughtful additions. I knew from the pictures that the accommodation was very compact but we could have done with somewhere to sit other than on the bed as we were trapped indoors quite a bit due to the weather. I realise there is no room for seating.
- Mark (9/5): Superb - Breakfast not supplied
- Graham (9/5): Never stayed anywhere that put a smile on our faces like this did - If you are into Banality of corporate places you will not like this, OK it's small but has everything you need, including a lack of TV, facilities are wonderfully eccentric, including the barrel bathtub/shower. An added bonus is a great pub/restaurant over the road Nothing - REALLY
- William (1/5): Very poor for the cost - Small room toilet next to bed for the money enough room to swing a cat bathroom facilities very poor no hot water on the last day Everything
- Baker (8/5): We really enjoyed it and would certainly stay there again - The best street in Hastings. Great courtyard to relax in the morning sun. Nicely quirky. Great communication with our host. The room was a little small and compact.
- Anonymous (9/5): lovely stay , great host, close to all amenities. - very quaint and cosy nothing
- Philip (8/5): This is a charming little room brilliantly situated in the heart of Old Hastings. - This is a charming little room brilliantly situated in the heart of Old Hastings. The accommodation includes a bedroom with an ensuite off it and your own entrance separate from the main house. Everything is clean with tea, coffee, etc, available but no TV. The location is great being surrounded by the historic Old Hastings Town with buildings from every century from the Middle Ages to the 19th Century. The seafront is a short walk away and offers lots of shops, pubs and restaurants with the large newer part of Hastings about 20 minutes walk. There is loads to see and do in this area and we spent far too much in the antique and junk shops which abound in the area! The host was lovely and made sure we were okay.
:-)
- Rayner (4/5): uncomfortable and not enjoyable - location room exceptionally small, claustrophobic. No door on the bathroom just a curtain
