Guest Reviews
- Chloe (10/5): A wonderful experience at this amazing stay that matches the surrounding countryside - Peaceful location, nicely tucked away for privacy. Attention to detail was amazing - with little things thought of such as phone chargers, torch for walking back from the pub and fresh milk in the fridge.
Electric BBQ and huge shower were great additions.
- Michael (9/5): -
- Wendie (10/5): - This little gem was a absolute delight to stay at. Loved it
- Tim (9/5): Very nice overall - Very straightforward checking in, easy to find - good directions, good coms, lovely location, charming place, very comfy, well equipped and everything worked. Only slight disappointment was the lack of any refreshments on arrival - some basic tea and coffee and milk would have been nice.
- Rebecca (10/5): Beautiful place, dream location - Lovely little cottage on an aesthetic farm. Well equipped with everything you’d need. Charlie is very responsive and was able to fix the leaking toilet straight away. Beautifully kept and such a wonderful place. Would love to come back and stay again.
- Val (9/5): Staying in Dorset - It was very peaceful and relaxing just what we needed The only complaint was the heated towel rail nit working
- Vickers (10/5): - Wonderful ,we loved it Nothing to dislike
- Karen (10/5): The Hideaway was a suberb find - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! - Idyllic location, with Jack & Jenny the Shetland ponies, 3 goats, peacocks and a regular visit from a cheeky fat sparrow. Accommodation was excellent with lots of added extras which made for a wonderful stay 🥰 Nothing 🤷🏻♀️
- Jacob (10/5): -
- Su (10/5): Stunning place to stay - Absolute beautiful setting. Peaceful
- Marian (8/5): Nice hideaway, good value. - Nice location. The bed and chairs were comfortable and the facilities were good. We did not meet the owners, but the instructions they sent to us were clear and comprehensive. The radiator in the bedroom seemed to work a bit erratically and the towel rail in the bathroom barely warmed up.
- Vicky (10/5): Second time of staying here everything is perfect we class it now as are little hideaway we did plenty of walks near by - Everything Nothing
- Josh (10/5): -
- Nina (10/5): Romantic gateway, perfect spot - Ohhh amazing place, beautiful farm, cabin so romantic. We had amazing time .
- Connor (10/5): Amazing stay, beautiful place! Recommended to anyone who will listen! - Beautiful location, no road noise or anything! On a farm with a few goats and horses too! Nothing to dislike!
- Mariann (10/5): -
- Ronahi (10/5): Incredible atmosphere. -
- Philip (10/5): - Lovely setting Nothing
- Stuart (10/5): Very relaxing, everything top quality. Would like to stay again sometime. - Secluded tranquil setting. Excellent facilities in the accommodation which was very clean, comfortable and well maintained. Nothing to dislike, would certainly book again
- Emma (10/5): Everything you could need! - Really good size, every little detail had been thought through with the cabin layout and facilities! I would 100% book again! Perfect quiet getaway
- Lucy (9/5): Charming place, would stay again - We loved the look and feel of the Hideaway, it was very cosy and felt very secluded.
The Northern Lights machine/light was a big hit! The shower room was nice and spacious and the bed was comfortable. I loved seeing the farm animals nearby. More gentle lighting in the living room area would have been nice, and there were no blinds on the windows in that room.
- Sophie (10/5): We had a lovely stay, thank you -
- Hazel (9/5): - Very peaceful location. Nice decor. Well equipped kitchen. The duvet and quilt on the bed were cosy, and the pillows were the right softness and depth for us. Nice cosy blankets to snuggle under to watch tv. The weather was hovering around freezing during our 1 night stay and unfortunately the heaters struggled to keep the place warm enough for us. It will be a fantastic place in warmer weather. The bed was a standard double, so a bit small for us being used to a king, and the mattress dipped in the middle.
- Joanna (10/5): - We had a great stay, thank you so much
- Emma (10/5): - As described, the perfect hideaway. Warm and cosy during winter with a fully equipped little kitchen. We had board games and sky TV and a lot of peace and quiet N/a
- Philip (9/5): -
- Jared (10/5): -
- Megan (9/5): - Clean and cosy
- RachaelMejia (9/5): Wonderful getaway in a quiet setting - Beautifully cosy hideaway. Perfectly comfortable with Christmas extras and thoughtful touches. My boyfriend used all the hot water!! And I think we are used to a bigger bed, but it was cosy, warm and eventually the hot water refilled 😄
- Abigail (9/5): Perfect stay - Lovely location, very clean and cosy and excellent value for money. Hearing was not on on arrival however it soon heated up in plenty of time as it’s so small and cosy it wasn’t an issue!
- Chapman (10/5): - Absolutely amazing little hideaway. Very clean and has everything you need. Will definitely be returning
- Karen (10/5): Hideaway bliss! - Everything was thought of, even down to charging cables. Lovely warm welcome, special effort made for my 60th birthday.
Cosy, comfortable, thought given to detail, really can't fault the property or hosts.
Can't wait to return. Nothing to not like.
Though I would make a suggestion of a shower stool for limited mobility like myself.
- Eleanor (10/5): -
- Annmarie (9/5): - Very cosy and quiet. Brilliant use of a small space. Would definitely stay again.
- Tara (9/5): Great hideaway - Qiuet location; well equipped; coffee machine; lots of room for a one bedroom place.
Directions were clear.
Thank you for leaving us some milk! Only let down was the snoring, every night, from the cabin behind us.
- kayleigh (10/5): We would definitely stay here again, already looking up the dates for my birthday in February! - Absolutely loved the location, very well equipped, even had a fan to use that I cannot sleep without!
Very very peaceful, lovely surroundings and the owners were very easy to contact and very helpful.
Have already recommended this place to family and friends! Absolutely nothing bad to say, everything was perfect!
- Max (9/5): -

- paul (7/5): A quiet bolt-hole ideal for a romantic break, and an opportunity to relax. - Location was first rate. Very peaceful. Good private parking. Minor issues - no main light in bedroom ; shaving mirror too low on bathroom wall to be used.
- Lorayne (9/5): Comfortable and quiet -
- Jan (10/5): Lovely. Just what we wanted. - We loved our stay at the Hideaway. It reminded us of our log cabin in Norway. Very quiet and private in beautiful surroundings on a farm. Hidden away as its name implies, with quirky decor which wouldn't suit everyone but was very much to our taste. Owner Charlie was very friendly and helpful. Nothing we can think of.
- Dolphin (10/5): - Everything was perfect, comfy, great value and clean.
- Giedre (10/5): Amazing stay - We had everything what we need in that apartment Everything was perfect
- Allan (10/5): Fabulous - The Hide away was that and so much more, absolutely wonderful place to stay. Host was very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Nothing, the Hide away was perfect.

- Avi Eshel (10/5): - מקום מקסים, שקט ורגוע. חדר נעים.
- Valerie (9/5): Definitely recommend - Lovely little quirky gem, close to county attractions.
Located in a beautiful farm setting with everything you need.
- Jonathan (9/5): An excellent little Hideaway! - Very clean and tidy, with all the kitchen equipment you need. Tucked away so feels super secluded. Nothing

- victoria (10/5): -
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable self contained Unit, good size and great location
- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laurence (10/5): Tucked away little gem - Perfect place to stay after a trip to the coast, not wanting to drive back the same day. The Hideaway is small but comfy and the owners have tried to think of everything. This is our 2nd stay and will be back again.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice accommodation in a beautiful setting. Nice local pubs/restaurants. Had everything we needed. There wasn't anything I didn't like. I will stay there again.
- Victoria (10/5): Beautiful cabin in tranquil countryside setting - Beautiful cabin - this was a repeat booking for me and since I last stayed they have added a living area and kitchenette, and I’d already thought it was brilliant before those were added when I stayed last year! The cabin is on a property that’s also operating as a stable yard / farm, and there are other wooden guest cabins around but spaced pretty far apart and so it’s really private and cosy, especially with the private walkway up to the main door and the little seating area with a bbq outside. I can’t say enough nice things honestly, it’s all been built and decorated with such care and thought, right down to the reclaimed wood desk and vanity, it feels really special here.
- Denise (10/5): Exceptional - it was cosy, compact but at the same time spacious, well proportioned and had everything I needed that I only stayed one night, I was just passing through for work and it would have been lovely to have stayed a couple of days and enjoyed the Hideaway and location more
- Bev (10/5): Fabulous. An absolute gem. - Stunning location and facilities.. very high spec in all rooms and lovely thoughtful little details. An absolute gem and bargain for price. If being really picky, a small bit of milk in the fridge but the two bottles of water were much appreciated
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Relaxing retreat on the doorstep to Durdle door! Would highly recommend - Extremely peaceful, very well priced. Excellent value for money
- Jenny (10/5): HIDEAWAY - What a fabulous place, absolutely beautiful. Every little detail was covered. It felt like being 'off grid' with every luxury covered. Sky TV, Alexa, Internet. Lots of other gadgets. Everything was a quality product. Loved it and didn't want to leave ❤️
- Ann (10/5): Absolutely beautiful find, you won't be disappointed staying here. - What a gem. Absolutely stunning place. So spacious, clean and charming. Accommodation has been well thought out, you want for nothing. We will definitely be back.
- Michelle (10/5): Hideaway is just that. It was a relaxing perfect night away from home. - How secluded and tranquil it was. Loved it all.
- Arnold (9/5): Idyllic overnight stay in beautiful location - Perfect for an overnight stay whilst visiting family in Dorset. Beautiful, quiet countryside location but not too far from the village of Lychett Matravers. Hideaway had everything we needed and is exceptional value for money.
Loved the duckpond and the farm location.
We will definitely be coming back again! There was nothing really to dislike. Perhaps a bit more milk in the fridge to make tea for two on arrival, but that's very minor
- Teresa (10/5): lovely. I willgo bsck! - location, property catered for everything we needed. it was very well appointed. everything had been thought of that you could need for a mini break being nit picking bathroom radiator and skirting needed a better clean. also don’t put cushions on the pillows that are clean as the cushion covers clearly were not.
- Hilary (10/5): Enchanting - The Hideaway was perfect for our night stop but we wished we could stay longer. Everything had been thought through to give guests perfect comfort and address all needs - even a universal phone charger! Our hosts were super friendly and we just loved the rustic/eco ethos and facilities provided around the site. Nothing
- Denzil (9/5): Superb log cabin in very quite location. - Very nice log cabin on a farm in pretty rural setting. One of the quietest locations I ever stayed in. Excellent pub in nearby village. Bed was on the hard side.
- Yuval (10/5): Perfect place to relax - This might be the best place I’ve ever found on booking. It’s inside a farm, secluded, tranquil, kind of rustic yet modern and comfortable. Nothing!
- Laurence (10/5): Perfect short stay which ticked all the boxes - Cosy and compact, the place had everything we needed and could think of. Everything was perfect
- Terry (9/5): Superb - Not easy to find
- Annalisa (9/5): Excellent - It was very quaint and well thought out. The mattress was way too soft for us.
- Kathryn (10/5): Lovely Hideaway - Beautiful spot and lovely, well-equipped accommodation.
- Gail (10/5): Exceptional - Location was perfect. Accommodation very clean and cosy. Well designed. Lovely little patio overlooking wild flowers and trees with a BBQ. Very peaceful.
- Melody (10/5): Get away retreat in beautiful surroundings - A beautiful little place hidden away in the countryside. The facilities were great, with everything you needed for your stay. Loved the kitchen/ lounge area and the blue tooth speakers were a lovely touch. N/A

- Anthony (10/5): Fantastic stay! Gorgeous location and privacy. Far surpassed expectations. - Idyllic location, privacy, nature at your doorstep, fantastic cabin with all the amenities. Bed was extremely comfortable. Shower was hot and powerful...far surpassed most inner city hotel chains I've used.
Excellent value for money and would struggle to stay in a normal hotel now! Nothing at all.
- Andy (10/5): Very nice stay. Charming characterful property and setting. -
- Colin (10/5): Shhh it's a secret.... - I love the peace and tranquillity of the location. It certainly is a Hideaway, and with the extension, it is even better.
I love coming here, but it's important to book early. It's all good
- Terri (8/5): Was very Comfortable - It's was a cute self catering, two room hideaway, and had everything you could need , lovely shower too 🙂
- Farley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jozef (9/5): Superb - Nice and peaceful location, Nothing.
- Kay (10/5): A little slice of heaven in the heart of Dorset, perfect for an ultra-relaxing stay! - So peaceful, lovely surroundings, not as small as it looks from the outside, perfect for two people, lovely decor throughout, comfortable bed, modern bathroom, everything provided for your stay, owners couldn’t have been more friendly, the weather helped being sunny all the time but even if it had been cloudy it was just a perfect place for a bit of rest and relaxation! will definitely be booking again! Can’t fault this at all - just wished we’d booked a longer stay!
- Bayliss (9/5): The right name - Lovely place ,well looked after and nice and peaceful Nothing, but would be nice to have a table lamp in the living area
- Holger (10/5): Exceptional - Brilliant stay, very quiet location, hosts very welcoming.
It is an ideal base for exploring the Isle of Purbeck and the Jurassic Coast.
The cottage is well equipped and clean. ---
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely quiet location with everything you need for a short break.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Ideal - Self-catering 2-person chalet was very well designed, construicted & appointed: kitchen had induction hob, microwave, hot air fryer, kettle, coffee machine, full set of crockery & cutlery.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Everything
- Amy (9/5): Lovely little hideaway - Lovely little cabin in a decent location. Easy to find with great directions from the hosts, who were on site when we arrived adding new plants to the outside. Very clean and well presented, kitchen area had the little extras like bottled water and milk, and the coffee machine, stove etc are all great additions. Comfortable bed, lovely views and very quiet. A lovely break away. Would definitely return - we are thinking of coming back later in the year for a couple of nights for our birthdays. The sofa was on the small side and doesn't allow for two people (particularly my other half being 6'3) to sit comfortably, however I can see this is due to limited space in the lounge area, and wasn't a massive problem overall.
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
