Guest Reviews
- Lesley (5/5): One night Stay for convenience to ferry . But wouldn’t stay there any longer - Location near to ferry No lift sup to have a balcony it didn’t
- Jack (3/5): Poor -
- Estefania (8/5): Good room just off the main street - The breakfast is served at a small restaurant around the corner from the hotel on the main avenue - it was really good and the view to the sea and sea lions is great. The room in the hotel is just like in the pictures. The hotel has a very small entrance which is not so easy to find and has no reception. There is a phone number written on the door which you need to call or whatsapp. Normally this would be fine but we needed to contact the person a couple times and she would not answer the phone but once she did she was nice and helpful.
- Melissa (8/5): Very comfortable hotel that offers good facilities for a stay in Galapagos. - Very well located in the center of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. The breakfast was quite nice in the waterfront. The room was comfortable with a good amount of space and ammenities. It was a bit loud and bright in early mornings. We found some ants in the morning but it was taken care of quite quickly by the hotel staff.
- Theodore (7/5): Nice new facility it a great location, but a bit empty. - Looks like the whole Hotel was newly renovated and it was located right in the center of the waterfront area within easy walking distance to everything. There was no real staff present. The girl who came to collect the room fees and take me to the local cafe for my free breakfast was the only staff I saw.
- Heather (3/5): Poor - The location was great, wifi & AC was appreciated. The value for the cost was sub-par compared to our previous accomodations. There was no breakfast included, the owner was not there to check us in, assumed we changd our minds but did not, just arived late on the ferry which was previous;y communicated to him. There was no hot water for showers, due to an empty propane tank. Once the owner was able to get back to us, as there was no one on site to assist, the situation was rectified. Didn't realize this place was not a hotel as is advertised on booking.com
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Consider adding another two pillows for guests.
- Hans (9/5): It was good for one night, the owner was friendly and helpful - Great location, new rooms, room with view to street with queen bed was great, new ac perfect size to room. No staff at all to be a hotel, no front desk, it felt like an airb&b. They have family rooms for 4 not doble bed one like listed in booking. Ac is small for that big room
- Magdalena (8/5): Very good - Very good location, walking distance from everything - restaurants, harbor, etc. Owner was very helpful and welcoming. Room was clean and fulfilled our needs. Very loud outside - music coming from the bars around, though we could have expected due to its location.
- Kristin (8/5): Very good - The rooms appear to be brand new . Very clean and modern. AC works great, huge bathroom
The location is excellent. The rooftop area is very inviting, however, the bar was not open, and breakfast was not served up there It's definitely more of an apartment, not a hotel or BNB. No interaction with other guests . Rooftop not utilized, although it is a great space . No real interaction with staff except when we needed something
No blackout curtains. It was very bright in the room all night from the street lights
My biggest complaint was that there is no water dispenser. We had to buy plastic water bottles, which is very wasteful . Everywhere else we stayed in the galapagos had drinking water available
- Ola (7/5): Would stay again. - Location, cleanliness, friendly people. We liked the bed, felt hard as a rock at first but we both slept great. Nobody at office most of the time. Make sure to communicate arrival time and departure time so someone will be there. Took 45 min from first msg until someone arrived to check us out.
- Bronwyn (8/5): Great value in a good location - Great location modern and clean . The host Fernando spoke English , he was there to greet us and extremely helpful Breakfast was basic but not a problem
- Imme (7/5): Central stay in modern rooms with stunning breakfast - Very central
Absolutely stunning breakfast with changes each day on a Great rooftop
Very friendly staff
Very modern and spacious rooms
Great shower For me the matres was extremly hard
There is light from the street the full night and the curtains don’t block it
There is no blow dryer (not in the rooms and has not to borrow which was very i Common for me in South America)
If those points would be solved its 9-10 Stars :)
- Maria (9/5): Great value! - It was very close to the port, and his owner was very kind and helpful. The room was noisy and had no curtains, but this are only details, the stay was great
- Crhistian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brooke (9/5): Great stay! Perfect location next to ferry terminal! - Location was great right next to the ferry terminal and hundreda of sea lions. They are fun to watch and take pictures of. The hotel was also newly built. Host was a really nice, friendly guy. He made us breakfast on the rooftop deck in the morning. Sadly our stay was only for 1 night, would have loved to stay longer. Everything was great but it is hard to find. There is only a sticker on the glass door saying mantaraya.
- Jody (9/5): The great location & good value made this a nice stay. - The location is super close to the ferry docs. You can definitely walk to anything in town and yet it was still quiet at night. The owner was very friendly & helpful. He is a naturalist guide & he shared great information on the area. The large patio on the top floor was a nice place to watch the water. I wished there had been a light blanket for the bed.
- Connie (10/5): Mantarraya is an excellent place to stay in San Christobol! - The location at the harbour was excellent. We started each day iwth a very nice breakfast served by our host.
