Guest Reviews
- Muhammad (4/5): - Room was not ready no heating and bed was noisy
- Michelle (1/5): -
- Charlotte (1/5): Terrible, unprofessional and uncomfortable - N/A The host seemed surprised that we brought our dog with us despite the listing stating that pets were allowed. A week into our stay, our dog unfortunately sustained an injury to her paw which bled quite a bit. She had accidentally bled on the carpet (which btw was already filthy) and we didn't notice. We then received a message from Janet stating we would have to leave her in the communal space/living area as she "wasn't trained" (how does her bleeding from an injury equal not being trained?). To which I replied we weren't comfortable leaving her where anyone else in the house would have access to her. She didn't care. Not surprising though considering the conditions her own dog is living in. We felt we had no choice but to leave a week early and Janet is refusing to refund us for the week we ended up not staying although had paid for. I am taking it further as this experience was disgusting.
- Pedro (10/5): -
- Moore (8/5): - We liked the kitchen, especially the fact that we could keep our milk in the fridge.
We liked the bath and shower.
It was very quiet whilst there. Excellent rural location. A first impression, thought has gone into making the place look pleasing. The front door needs to be replaced and was difficult to open. We left for the day Saturday, and there was no way to lock our bedroom. The carpet was vaccumed but didn't look clean. It was a bit off-putting seeing a resident pit bull, who to be fair was quiet, well behaved and we didn't see him inside. The bed was quite squeaky when moving in the night.
- Monique (4/5): Served my needs but wouldnt book again. - The lady who welcomed me was nice Could be cleaner. Doors don’t lock from inside. Didn’t have toiletries. Just one towel. Toilet paper was in a plastic bag. Bit loud in the house with tv and music.
- Carol (6/5): Nice and quiet - Quiet location I was not given the details to enter the property. After getting there and knocking I ended up shouting over the garden gate and the friendly student living there gave me all the details and let me in. The details for the iternet password are wrong - needs a lowe case k instead of upper cae (or vice versa - can't remember).
- Surtar (5/5): Could have been cleaner - Location was good The property needed maintenance and also not clean, ideally the carpets need to go and a repaint is required
- Singh (2/5): Very poor -
- Pamela (2/5): Avoid if you are expecting to be able to lock your door - It was convenient to where I needed to be I stayed here so as to be close to the nec and booked because 1 it was pet friendly and 2 they didn’t charge for pets but the lady decided to charge even though it stated clearly on her policy that there was no charge highly illegal and trading standards will be having a field day 🤬.
I thought right will deal with the extra charge later but then she decided to rent me a room that has no lock on it, her excuse was the previous people took key home and are posting it back, I thought ok 1 night I can do but no, the whole 3 night stay there was no key for my bedroom door, so my property could of been stolen or anyone could walk into my room at any time.
Then I also asked were towels provided, I was told yes, I thought great I’ll not have to take any, wrong she provided 2 towels in total for myself and my husband for 3 nights, maybe she only washes herself 1 a week but I like a shower every day, honestly I’ve never seen or heard of such behaviour in my life.
This women could have had returning business and a lot more business if she had of provided the proper accommodation and adhered to her own policies.
Ps: previous review back in July 2024 also states no bedroom key so she obviously doesn’t provide a lock for the bedrooms
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Komal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kijek (6/5): Pleasant - Room Room
- Danielle (6/5): Pleasant - The house was in a nice area and had a very comfortable bed. Room had what was needed. You could message the landlady and she replied quickly Shared bathroom that wasn't mentioned
Not being able to get in to start with.
- Kevin (1/5): Bad -
- A (1/5): Not welcoming, noisy, and room very small and not comfortable at all - Nothing to noisy Everything
- Kay (5/5): I was disappointed in the accommodation and facilities as mentioned above especially for the cost. - It was close to where we needed to be to attend a night out. There should have been a key to lock the bedroom door especially in a shared house. There wasn't enough towels for two people in a room. There was a hand towel and one standard one provided. There should have been more tea towels to use.
- Kerry (10/5): Warm, friendly home in a great location - Janet was such a warm and friendly host - much appreciated as a solo female guest. Her home was comfortable, clean and my room was private, with its own key. Location was spot on for me. I was going to a concert at Villa Park, so took the train from Tame Bridge Parkway, only 3 min drive from the house and free parking (which Janet told me about, thanks!). £4 return to Villa Park. Lovely home, lovely host, great location.
- Andy (9/5): Superb -
