I really happy to stay there and I recommend to other people who going to Sohar so Marina Sohar Hotel is the best place to stay there. Everything is good not have anything feels like don't like.
- Hans3103 (8/5): A lawyer's delight - Good location along the corniche and within walking distance of souk and castle. Staff was accomodating and provided us with an upgrade as we were not impressed with the room on the ground floor that was first offered to us. Very clean, good shower and decent internet. Would stay there again if Sohar had more to offer to tourists. The manager seems to have missed his/her vocation as a practioner of law. To compensate for this clients are bombarded with a long list of do’s and many more don’ts. Like don’t fill the water cooker with milk, which is a difficult thing to do as there is no water cooker. One is also not allowed “to massage the bed with oil”. Luckily, it seems that one can massage the bed without oil, which might come in handy as the mattress is on the firmer side. It would not hurt the hotel to somewhat tone down this overly contractual approach.

- Mov_hp (4/5): Pleasant hotel but unpleasant managers - Clean, spacious room. Bed was fine. Location is nice, close to amenities and beautiful Sohar beach. A studio room should have a kettle at least. Bathroom fittings were dated and broken. Wi-Fi was troublesome, would go off sometimes. They solicit via messages asking for good reviews. I asked them to email me the invoice but they want me to review them first! This is not professional. I would give them 7.5 otherwise. Update: After this review I received another illicit message from them with racist undertones. My review was completely fair for this property. This rarely happens in Oman and I am disappointed by this behavior.

The beach is also very close and the view while having breakfast was amazing. The bed was a little bit hard for my liking, but maybe someone else would like it like that.

There are a few decent coffee shops, food stores, and a laundry service nearby, just down the street, too! The price for the accomodations is excellent! As a non-muslim, the mosque nearby woke me up every morning, which was kind of annoying. (Their speakers are way too loud... Unless you're Muslim and want to be woken up around 5am.) Also, I asked for a receipt indicating that I had paid the total due and it took DAYS of communicating with Marina's staff for them to get that proof of payment to me.
