Guest Reviews
- Carl (8/5): - Peaceful, beautiful views, plenty of wildlife. Comfy bed. Additional shed for storage/drying of items along with fridge freezer. Having to strip the bed, empty bins etc before leaving. A small hob would be an advantage to cook eggs, beans etc rather than relying on a BBQ
- Tim Powell (10/5): -
- Jane (9/5): -
- sarah (10/5): Fabulous - All nice and cosy with lovely sea views. Apartment was well equipped, perfect. Just a quick thing to mention- the road between Gairloch and the apartment was for me very scary. Just something to keep in mind if you’re a nervous driver.
- Leonie (9/5): -
- Grant (10/5): very enjoyable and relaxing - location was good. it's. what advertised no issues a little tricky driving getting there
- Ian (8/5): -
- Vincent ROQUES (10/5): - La vuee et les Hôtes Mark et Maria très attentionnés.
- Sarah (8/5): Stunning scenery, spectacular stars. Serenity. Plus, Mand Mark made us very welcome (joined the mermaids on a short swim - The view! Spacious, light, comfy beds, all mod-cons and special touches too
- Roger (8/5): Most enjoyable break very relaxing place. - The location was excellent, very clean pod, hosts were very helpful, really enjoyed our stay there. Nothing we did not like just a suggestion could do with a portable hob for boilong and frying.
- Hanneke (9/5): Fantastisch - De ligging is fantastisch. Wij zaten er met storm Floris. Spectaculair.
- Zaman (10/5): Amazing little pod😄 - Everything was wonderful. The pod was very well equipped and very nicely insulated. My wife and I absolutely loved it while staying there. If we get a chance we will come here again in future.
- Mark (8/5): Very good - Isolated beautiful location Difficult access to local beach
- Georgina (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent views and location, cozy property.
- Bruce (9/5): Superb - We loved the friendliness, the really helpful communications from Mark. Although we struck wild weather, we were warm and loved the incredible view.
- Daryl (10/5): Spectacular Shiskine - Absolutely everything was fantastic! From the location - to the super comfortable dreamy mattress we could not fault our holiday! The apartment is a short drive into Gairloch which has all the local amenities you could require, it has great routes with access to the A832 which lends itself to the NC500 hot spots. The apartment was absolutely stunning. It honestly felt like a home away from home. My husband and I felt so comfortable there it was like staying at our own second home - the facilities were clean and Mark and Maria were both welcoming and accommodating hosts. We loved it! Thank you! Nothing at all. Everything was outstanding!!!
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic location overlooking the sea with the Isles of Skye and Harris.Mark and Maria were very welcoming meaning we had a great relaxing stay.
- Chuck (10/5): Exceptional - Good things do come in small package. The hosts have thoughtfully supplied the pod with everything you need to fix simple meals.
Plenty of room for two people with outside spaces too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Take a walk on the wild side and make your way to the beach. It's worth it.
- Les (10/5): Great place to stay - Everything You name it I liked it. The apartment - views - easy access - peacefulness - friendly host including the cat Everything was good nothing to not like apart from no mobile signal in the area but was no problem in the apartment after turning on wi-fi calling on phone settings
- Susan (8/5): Very comfy and modern with fantastic views - Fantastic views, lots of space, everything you could want for self catering A little out of the way, 8 miles to Gairloch
- Fraser (8/5): Comforts of home with spectacular views - Location and views Single track road out and back can be tricky with camper van but that’s a feature of the whole area
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gillian (9/5): A cosy stay at Shiskine - Lovely accommodation in a gorgeous location, with everything we needed. We even got to see a pair of White Tailed Sea Eagles soaring by. Far enough away from Gairloch to feel remote but also close enough to pop along for shopping. Close to lots of lovely hills! There wasnt anything we didn't like. Even storm Ashley couldn't spoil it!
- Gordon (10/5): October in Shiskine - Location, facilities, comfort level - all superb. Nothing to not like.
- Gillian (10/5): Exceptional -

- Yiu (8/5): Value for money and comfort. - Comfort and value for money. Too mobile.
- Amy (10/5): Peace and quiet, with gorgeous scenery and fun outdoors activities nearby — and a super cozy bed! - The location is remote and stunning. Mark welcomed me and introduced me to the pod, and then I had a very quiet 4 days. Not a single thing could be better
- Christina (10/5): Stunning apartment in stunning scenery - Stunning location. Beautiful apartment with superb views. Maria and Mark were brilliant hosts
- John (10/5): Amazing relaxing holiday with stunning views - It was modern apartment with amazing views There was nothing not to like
- Anette (8/5): Lovely stay in a very quiet and beautiful area. - The Pod was beautifully situated with views both towards the Isle of Skye and Harris and Lewis. There was a shed for storage of bikes etc. When sitting on the on the little deck area outside the pod we were fairly private so. Got a sense of complete peace and quiet. Since my partner and I are both in our 70’s it was not very convenient to have to clamber in and out of bed via its foot end. But we were aware of that at the time of booking and decided to go ahead anyway and we’re glad we did.
- Ameera (9/5): Superb -
- Shirley (8/5): An ideal place for a peaceful, relaxing break - Shiskine was the ideal place for a short stay. The apartment had everything we needed and was very comfortable.
- Coz72 (10/5): Perfect remote getaway to a stunning part of Scotland - Wow - what a lovely bolthole in a stunning location. The property was as described and very warm and welcoming. It had everything we needed - a very well equipped kitchen, spotlessly clean and a cosy sitting area. The bedrooms were well appointed and the beds comfy.
Views across The Minch to Skye and Harris were stunning and changed constantly with the weather. A great base to explore some of what Wester Ross has on offer, but plenty more to visit if we return. Highlights included the wonderful Inverewe Gardens, a blustery walk around Red Point followed by lunch at the Badachro Inn and a round of golf at Gairloch Golf Club. Nothing, all was great.
- Pam (9/5): We had a brilliant stay and would return. - Location superb. Very comfortable. Well equipped.
Exceptionally clean. Lighting in bedrooms inadequate for bedtime reading. Entrance hall was very chilly.
- Hashwyn (10/5): Great people , friendly local shop keepers, tasty food nearby. Amazing views. Nice and cozy. - Great location , perfect place if your looking for seclusion peace and quite. With amazing views out to sea and Mountain View’s in the distance, the drive up from the local town is great for people who enjoy driving and the road carries on to a light house. First place I’ve visited in Scotland and it was the perfect place to visit for first time. The local town had plenty of places to eat and shop but not too many to cause the town to get too busy. Nice sleepy town perfect for a quite getaway. Everywhere you look is beautiful so would highly recommend coming to stay here to be able to enjoy the area with turquoise seas and amazing beaches.
Well equipped room with stuff to your stay better: binoculars, 2x torches, hot running water, oil heater (which really came in handy), extra shed for storage ( would consider coming back on my motorbike knowing I can store it safely inside, but ask the owners if your allowed) Nothing to dislike, just try to come during decent weather.
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Remote, quite and peaceful Too quiet and no restaurants in the area
- 2pensioners (10/5): Comfortable and bigger than expected, kitchen had everything we needed, loved the solitude and view. - Location was amazing, remote and quiet with an amazing view, just what we wanted. Nothing
- Gary (9/5): Stunning views, great pod - Amazing views, well thought out facilities with shed next to pod with full size fridge and room for bikes Nothing
- Nic (10/5): Exceptional - It was everything we were hoping for. Nothing to dislike.

- Helen (10/5): What a view!! - Friendly owners, the view, the quiet location and being with nature at the coast. Nothing it's amazing
- Pauline (8/5): Beautiful location with everything you need - location, accessibility, clean, well equipped nothing to dislike
- Barrie (10/5): Recommend this beautiful pod for a relaxing holiday - Great pod in a lovely location Great pod for a relaxing holiday Mark and Maria were great hosts
- Malcolm (9/5): A great relaxing break, highly recommended for couples looking to escape the hustle and bustle of eve - Privacy and spectacular views.Secluded and tranquil location.. More information could be provided in relation to shops opening times prior to arrival due to the remote location.
- Francis (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was excellent for a visit to this amazing area of Scotland Nothing
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kirsteen (9/5): Superb - Great apartment ..... a wee home from home.
Very well equipped and exremely comfy beds 😀 Not a thing.
Wish I had more days 😀
- Catriona (9/5): Remote, peaceful get away - The pod was great, exactly as advertised. Very cozy and fun. The location and view are magnificent. The extra storage space and fridge in the shed next door was a great idea. Bed extremely comfortable. The extra cooking facilities like the toaster maker and barbecue were extremely useful and we used both. The price per night is expensive but it was the Easter weekend and last minute booking. Only real beef with was the barbecue grill looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since the last time someone had used it.
- Jayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - There was nothing not to like, everything was literally perfect!!! The only negative was having to say our goodbyes after such an amazing stay!!!
- Iwona (10/5): Exceptional - Location is incredibly good. Peaceful and quiet. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Sparkling and comfortable flat. Very comfortable beds and good equipped kitchen. Perfect place for relaxing and rest. Highly recommended! Everything was good.
- Michael (10/5): remote - quiet and very remote sheep were loud at time’s
