• Martin (10/5): Reklama na Ligurii - Vila je na strategickém místě s výhledem na záliv, avšak i nedaleko centra města, nádraží, současně i na silnici směřující k cinque terre. Parkování je možné přímo u ubytování. Vila je nádherná. Vynikající snídaně se podávají v místnosti s výhledem na záliv. Náš pokoj pro dvě osoby byl velice prostorný, vkusně zařízený a s velikou terasou s nádherným výhledem. Všude bylo čisto a uklizeno. Paní majitelka byla velice milá, ochotná. Dala nám mnoho cenných rad, díky nimž jsme si pobyt v La Spezii a okolí moc užili.

Le petit déjeuner, compris dans le prix, est délicieux, abondant et excessivement diversifié avec de nombreux produits locaux (céréales, viennoiseries, fruits, foccacia, fromages,…). La chambre était très spacieuse, propre et confortable. Nous avons également apprécié la gentillesse, l’accueil chaleureux et personnalisé de Christina. Le petit bémol est qu’il n’y a pas de piscine dans la propriété

We had an amazing ocean view from bedroom due to the hotel being high up. Cristina was very helpful and had great energy. We hope to stay again!

Parken auf dem Hotelgelände ( sehr steil) oder an der Strasse möglich Sehr viele Treppen, auch um ins Hotel zu kommen. Wasserkocher oder Kaffeezubereiter auf dem Zimmer wäre schön. Es hat uns gut gefallen, wir finden den Übernachtungspreis aber viel zu hoch für "nur" schön übernachten - kein Pool, keine Sauna oder etwas anderes Zusätzliches

Overall was de kamer niet in verhouding tot de prijs en de akoestiek naar de gang slecht. Ook veel lawaai van de naastliggende weg… Dit werd echter wel gecompenseerd door de vriendelijke & huiselijke ontvangst.

The room was delightful - comfortable and clean with great views. Breakfast was buffet style and very good. The staff were so helpful and kind. Highly recommended.

• Piers (10/5): Exceptional - I couldn’t recommend this place more! Astonishing antique villa with stunning views. The place is just jaw dropping. Located on a serene hill and managed by a wonderful and very helpful lady - this place gives you exactly what an experience on the Italian coast should be. It’s charming, extremely well maintained, clean and curated. Beautiful touches with sophisticated and charismatic details everywhere - just wow. Make sure you communicate with the property before your arrival - check in is not open 24/7. We just arrived without advising, booked last minute. Christina arrived within 10 minutes to open for us.

Host was fabulous in communicating to us through What’s app. The transport was fabulous and unless u have a car, u definitely need to use the transport (20 euro each time) to get around. And they only take cash for that. It seemed far from anything.

The room was huge with a great view from a large balcony. It was all very clean. The problem that we had was... Although the bathroom was large, clean and tidy it was also up a flight of stairs within the room which was difficult to locate in the middle of the night when it was dark. The location of the room in general is away from the centre of La Spezia so it was difficult to get a taxi to the main Train Station when you wanted to explore Cinque Terre. (There is no UBER in La Spezia and to be honest the host did try helping us to get a taxi but they do struggle with their location
• Alexandre (8/5): Beautiful views in well “family run like” establishment - The views are absolutely fantastic over La Spezia! The property itself is quite beautiful and the breakfast was very decent. The room was comfortable. I guess that is part of the area, but in order to access it you have to go up quite a bit with your suitcases. The rooms albeit nicely decorated are still a bit more outdated in style (to our liking). I think it is definitely a good option when in the area however I would question the value for money.

She also recommended a restaurant where we had one of the best times during our stay here. The view was gorgeous - got to see the sunrise each morning. Super clean, just wonderful. Great breakfast spread and offering of beverages. We had the cappuccino which was delicious and super frothy! Loved everything about it! There were quite a few stairs to pull the luggage up on.

• Dawn (10/5): It was the perfect comfortable place to stay after exploring during the day. I appreciated the size of the room, the cle - The property is just as reflected in the photos. It’s on the edge of La Spezia on the harbor so the view is very pretty, I stayed so I could travel to different areas by train/boat for a week but have one spot to end and start my day. it’s quiet, calm, set up a hill above traffic so you feel even more private, and there is AC in the room. Cristina was amazing and available through WhatsApp for anything. She was incredibly responsive! She helped to coordinate transfers from the train station or marina for an additional fee which I used each day as I did not have a car. It was so nice to not deal with busses or taxis. Roberto and Buchi were awesome drivers and kind as I had to translate to Italian. The breakfast in the morning was fresh and so many choices I can’t imagine anyone not being happy to start their day in the dining area. The people make the property, VillaMara has a great team who are really kind, helpful and welcoming. I would recommend anyone to stay at the property and if I come back to the area I’ll be back! I was happy with everything at the property.

• B (10/5): Stunning villa with an amazing host made our stay comfortable and memorable - Our room was beautifully decorated and extremely spacious, with a huge terrace overlooking the port of La Spezia. Cristina, the host, is the magic that makes this villa so welcoming and special. She has a true passion for making sure her guests have the best possible time. She anticipated our needs at every turn and proactively helped us with information, recommendations and reservations for dining and a private driver available to take us wherever we needed to be in a very prompt and timely manner. The breakfast was more abundant and delicious than the hotels we stayed at on our trip as well, including lovely local foods and pastries. We only wish we had stayed here longer! It was very easy to visit Cinque Terre by train, given proximity to the train station and by boat given proximity to the port.

And it is an absolutely gorgeous property and beautifully decorated. The views are some of the best in the area. The breakfast was good. The sheets were dirty on our first night there. There was no hot water the next morning and it was a cold day. When my husband informed Cristina of the lack of hot water she said we could shower in my parents room. Extremely unprofessional response. When we informed her of the dirty sheets and the lack of hot water in the entire property she was extremely unpleasant but managed to get the issue solved.

• Vanessa (10/5): Exceptional - Just gorgeous home run by the nicest people. it’s a short drive from city center, enjoyed that I could park my car there, and my room was mega spacious and with a fantastic view. Loved how close it was to the train station connecting to the Cinque Terre towns. Beautiful historic home!
• Casian (10/5): Great base for a Cinque Terra vacation! - The place is incredible. The host, food and accommodations were top notch. You have to hire a taxi to go anywhere. I would stay for sure.
• Della (9/5): Lovely stay at la spezia - The hotel was beautiful, rooms very clean and beds comfy. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. We had our bikes so easy to get around otherwise it was about a 40mins walk to town or a taxi Nothing
