Guest Reviews
- laura (10/5): Wonderfully charming old style cottage. So quirky. We loved our stay here. - Clean and cosy
- Anne (10/5): Home away from home - The cottage was extremely comfortable with everything that you could possibly need. Janet has done a great job. Excellent location, short walk to the main shops with a large supermarket 5mins away. A home away from home. NA
- Fiona (10/5): Great cottage and base for the Isle of Lewis with central location - Seaview was a great location, just along from the ferry port opposite Newton marina which was lovely to watch from the window , minutes from Tesco and really close to the town . Seaview has everything you would need for a self catering stay , and would highly recommend, it is clean warm and very homely , host Janet very helpful , friendly and accommodating , instructions on how to access helpful and had volunteered a late checkout , information prior to journey shared tips on where to eat and on nearby activities . Off street parking another bonus . Welcome pack was another nice touch Nothing
- Anne (10/5): Home away from home (for a second time) - Had another fantastic stay at Seaview. It was just as good as last time (minus the weather not being as good). It certainly feels like a home away from home. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and Janet is a great host. NA

- Audrey (10/5): A cosy, comfortable and stylish cottage. We wanted to stay longer! - So cute, cosy and stylish. Lovely comfy beds and a log burner to cosy in during winter. Lovely Ishga bath and hand soap made on the island….and Janet the owner left us wine, biscuits and coffee. Janet was helpful and easy to communicate with.
- Coyne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hilda (10/5): Certainly keep this one in mind for future visits and will recommend to friends. - An amazing location and so easy to get to coming off the ferry from Ullapool. Great directions to parking at rear of property. Myself and friend over from Tasmania spent 5 nights here from where it was so easy to explore Lewis. Also so easy to walk around Stornaway and up to Lews Castle. We ate most nights in the cottage - apart from the obligatory Fish and Chips from Camerons !! Lots of lovely coffee shops Becketts being one of them.
Was a little chilly at times because of weather we had but a quick one hour boost of the heating was sufficient to heat the place up - no need for the woodburning stove.
Lots of interesting books to browse through and I bought the Hebridean Kitchen for my sons birthday from the tourist info. Really could not think of anything - perfectly adequate.
- Timothy (7/5): Comfortable and convenient - It is characterful and close to the centre of Stornoway It could do with some modernising and tlc eg the kitchen
- Diane (10/5): We loved this place! - We loved this place! great location, everything was so clean and tidy. The host was so helpful and replied very quickly. I would recommend and stay again! nothing!
- James (10/5): Nice and quiet location near ce tre and shops - Very helpful, easy location from ferry and local shops, comfortable location
Janet also very helpful to make our stay stress free.
