Guest Reviews
- Nilesh (7/5): Good but not great, - The room was decently sized. The ambiance was good. Staff was very helpful and friendly. - Location is not great, especially the road leads to the resort.
- It is not a resort at all for the money being charged.
- I did not get the resort vibe, there was only a pool but that you get in any hotel now a days.
- Hardly anything in the breakfast apart from standard idli and dosa
- If the room is booked for 3 people then why only 2 bottles of water?
- The charges are on the higher side, I would rather stay in a named hotel close to the city.

- Bhawna (7/5): Overall, it’s a lovely property with a great atmosphere and plenty of potential. With some improvements in service and a - The property is really nice and beautifully green — a peaceful escape away from the busy city life. We booked a room for four, and overall, the stay was pleasant and comfortable. The surroundings are calm, and the pool area is great for relaxing. However, a few things on the service side could definitely be improved. Housekeeping needs to be a bit more attentive — we had to ask for basic items like extra toilet paper, water bottles, and tea supplies. Food and room service were a bit slow, with our order of four dishes arriving in three separate rounds.
Breakfast was quite basic and average. The dosa wasn’t hot when served, and tea or coffee wasn’t readily available at the counter — we had to order separately. There was also no black tea at first; they had to collect it from housekeeping before serving.
About the rooms at the rear , they should do something about covering the room access to private as the road behind onlooker kept looking at whenever door was open , you feel being watched
- Avanish (8/5): Very good -
- Korak (8/5): Very good -
- Sunil (5/5): Not worth the money - Location and room was ok. Toilet badly maintained. Breakfast has very less options. Cut fruit given was stale and so was the juice. Extremely bad.
- Namrata (9/5): Superb - Spacious and greenery pool
- Vatz (7/5): Good -
- Prashant (9/5): Superb - Quality of food needs to be improved. Dining
- Justin (10/5): Lovely staff and great facilities - Lovely place Location was a little far away from anything else
- Krissy (6/5): Vanya was a good place for me to stay to work quietly but I wouldn’t recommend it if on holiday in Bangalore. - The rooms are a great size and nice and clean. The restaurant was well styled. It was far away from any shops or restaurants. When I went to have dinner the kitchen was unavailable despite I had checked in the morning if the restaurant would be open that evening for dinner. The pool was far away and not conducive to the layout of the rest of the hotel.
- Alexander (8/5): Vanya rightly or wrongly, gives me the impression of a resort that has seen better times in the past, but is also trying - The rooms are large and have most facilities, hair dryers, air con, tv, tea coffee making facilities, and the bathroom has everything you need, towels, toothbrush and paste, body lotion, comb and shower gel. I wish it had a fridge, and daily housekeeping, which would make it perfect. The grounds are cleaned and watered every day, and although small, are a delight to walk around. To access the pool area, you need to walk through the car park, but it’s really no big deal. Once there you will find a welcoming clean pool, and changing facilities. Many people mention noice from The Garden City Beer Collective next door, this is now not an issue as it is now closed due to the expiration of the lease. While this was something of a disappointment to me, who hoped to spend a few nights there, it was also a welcome relief, as my room would have got a lot of noise from it. I have to say, currently the only sound you hear at night are the sounds of nature. I had pleasure in meeting Sheetal the general manager, who explained that the vacant GCBC area would be used in future as a wedding venue. Also she told me of plans to have a bar in the pool area. At the time of my stay, there was building work happening around the back, but it’s very quiet, and during the day, helicopters come over from time to time to land somewhere near by, again this didn’t really bother me as they are only above for a few seconds. Staff are excellent, and resolve any issues I had instantly. They even called me, to remind me breakfast service was finishing soon. Vanya gives me the impression of a resort that has seen better times in the past, but is also trying to reinvent itself, it’s a great place to stay, and I really hope they succeed with the future plans. No fridge in the room, no daily housekeeping in the room.
- Shantala (9/5): Superb -
- Juan (2/5): unpleasant - I did like the room, it was nice an spacious and bed was very comfortable. The managers on shift were not very helpful; they were insulting and unwelcoming.
the wifi and TV were wonky and slow, I was not able to use them at all.
- Susmita (8/5): Beautiful retreat in the middle of a city. - It was very good. Food was awesome. Both dinner and the breakfast. The breakfast is complementary to the booking. It was sumptuous and healthy and had a lot of options. Just a very small thing - please add slippers for the guests.
- Shaik (10/5): Exceptional - Atmosphere For me it looked everything good
- Sanjeev (10/5): Was an amazing place, had I known before I would prefer this everytime I came to bangalore. Looking forward to more stay -
- Anuradha (9/5): Superb -
- Ver (4/5): Nice room, nice staff. No luxury, no boutique, no resort - All the staff were super attentive, friendly, and kind. I highlight the guys who carry our luggage to the room and the HK. The basic breakfast was good, the room is clean (very important) spacious simple but with nice details, the shower pressure is perfect for a nice shower. I think there is a lack of training from the management. The receptionists do not have knowledge about the visas (who needs and who doesn't) they keep us in the reception for a long time looking for a visa number that doesn't exist because of our nationality, also the communication between the reception staff is poor the night shift staff didn't knew that we checked already when we came at night.
The big point I didn't like it was .... the day we arrived, we didn't know where the lights of the room were, and without intention, I dropped a glass located in the night table and the fists thing the staff ask was to pay the glass ans no if we got cut or something, I think that in a hospitality place first you should ask if the guests are ok no for the money of a glass.
- Manjeshwar (1/5): Bad - staff Is not great at all, especially the lady
- Mohamed (7/5): Good -
- Nishan (10/5): Exceptional - The property is new and well maintained.
I loved the service they provided and the location.
- Lumreiphi (9/5): Superb - More food and beverages option would have been awesome especially for people who travel with kids:
- Sanjeevan (8/5): Quiet and relaxing stay - Clean room and amenities. The swimming pool was also in a secluded location.
The restaurant had good vegetarian options for lunch and dinner.
- Kiran (5/5): Meh !! - Room was spacious and clean... swimming pool was clean too.. but most of the property seems to have been utilized for the lounge and events leaving guests with very little room for activities and games.. 1. Swimming pool did not have lounge chairs / sun beds.. this is expected at any star property
2. Balcony did not have a table to keep your drinks or food.. why would you have chairs but not a table beats me..
3. Breakfast had cornflakes and chocos as an option but no milk - it was provided after we asked them at the table
4. Games - expected a table tennis table and carrom.. outdoor uncovered space was not suitable for badminton..
- Christopher (8/5): Hidden Gem - The Pool and the adjacent restaurant. Modern and clean design. Decent breakfast A few issues with paying by credit card - but was resolved in the end
- Cynthia (9/5): Lovely property difficult for foreigners - This property is beautiful. We must say that Ameya and Sonija made the experience memorable. Their English is excellent and they were therefore capable of making us feel welcome and could easily solve problems for us. Sonija went out of her way to provide excellent breakfasts for us. We wish the menu items from the adjoining restaurant GCBC? Could be served by the pleasant Sonija. It would be wonderful if the rest of the staff were better equipped to handle foreign visitors. The staff otherwise isn’t comfortable with guests that don’t speak Kannada or Hindi. We realize that Vanya is in India but we’d feel uncomfortable sending friends from the US to Vanya. The lovely restaurant at GCVC had wonderful food but the digital menu is off putting and the servers are not well trained.
- Nellicken (9/5): Superb -
- Alex (2/5): Should have never booked it - There are so many things to say... Where should I start? This resort promotes itself as a "quiet retreat". Indeed, it was so peaceful that we had to leave mid-stay because the noise from the restaurant next door (GCBC) was unbearable. The morning after we checked-in (at 3AM), we were woken up at 7AM by a very loud live concert taking place in the restaurant next door (the stage was placed right in front of the rooms), which the hotel staff supposedly "had no idea about". Later on, even though the staff told us there would not be any other loud event until after we left, more events kept happening, all louder and louder. Even the "ambience" music from the restaurant (GCBC) was playing very loud until late at night (11-12PM at least) every single day. The rooms were not comfortable enough, there are no hooks to hang anything in the room, the floor was not clean, there was barely any ventilation in the rooms (the resort is surrounded by trees and plants so it is very humid inside the rooms - even with the AC on, the sheets and mattresses would not dry). The location was so remote that many cabs declined the ride very often and refused to go that far. The hotel's restaurant offers very limited food option and no international food at all (despite saying so in their description). We had to ask multiple times to the staff every time we needed something to be brought to the room (towels, coffee, food, water...). Oh and the swimming pool is located on the complete other side of the property, behind the restaurant GSBC so you need to cross the whole parking lot to access it. Not convenient at all.
Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and we greatly regretted booking this place. What was supposed to be a relaxing and quiet stay turned into a nightmare that costed us a lot of money to escape.
- Mukul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vidyashree (5/5): could have been way better , new year was so sober , not many things to do .. worst part was the drainage smell. - rooms are spacious. but very poorly maintained drain and kitchen area .. it smelled horrible in every room .. very poorly maintained drain and kitchen area .. it smelled horrible in every room ..

- Jaya (9/5): Superb -
- Sandeep (8/5): Good place for a weekend getaway - The rooms were well maintained and spacious. The staff and hospitality were excellent. Food at the restaurant was really good and tasty. The facilities could have been better, there is not much to do at the place. Also, it's not really a luxury resort as advertised.
- Gurusankar (1/5): Bad - They canncelled my booking in the last minute while I was about to checking. Very unprofessional of them to do that.
- Vinuth (4/5): This property is for family crowd but if u go with friends u will be bit disappointed - Felt like luxurious room In booking.com there was no proper information about the property

- Biradar (9/5): Superb -
- Bianca (9/5): Superb - The place was very well kept and clean. It was also pet friendly which was a huge plus for us. Having GCBC next door was also an added advantage The rooms could have been a bit more spacious for the price. The walk from the pool to the room is too long and it's through the entrance of the resort which is not so great after you have gotten out of the pool and are in your swimwear
- Niraj (8/5): Very good -
- Ac (8/5): Pleasant stay with all amenities. Particularly liked the layout of rooms , decor and greenery . Didyhavd enough time to - Comfortable beds . Hot shower . Pool ,greenery and decor Music from beer garden was loud

- Srinivasa (10/5): Vanya, The great experience stay - Rooms are extremely good, specious, well maintained, too big suite rooms.
Service Staffs are very humble.
Property is well maintained with a lot of varieties of the plants.
Food was too tasty and reasonable pricing.
Must visit property. Breakfast menu is limited with less options.
Front office staff should be more friendly.
Food menu and Qty should be improved.

- Syed (10/5): My stay at The Vanya in Bangalore was exceptional, with clean and spacious rooms, excellent service, and a serene enviro - I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Vanya in Bangalore, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the serene environment, surrounded by lush greenery and a variety of plants that added to the hotel's charm.
The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The hotel's staff were incredibly helpful and polite, always ready to assist with a smile, which greatly enhanced the overall experience.
One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary dinner arranged by the pool. This thoughtful gesture was a delightful surprise, and the pool area itself was stunning, with clean, inviting water and a relaxing ambiance. It was a perfect setting for a memorable evening.
The breakfast served at The Vanya was equally impressive, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. The room service was prompt and efficient, ensuring that all our needs were met promptly.
