The farmhouse was very roomy. - The beautiful views from the windows of the property, the location , the three window seats and the size of the property. We liked the character of it. Enjoyed the peace. We had a lot of rainy days so we enjoyed reading the books at the cottage and the Aga kept it so warm. We had a baby rabbit & a hedgehog in the garden. The beds were really comfortable. Brand new washing machine & dryer & a dishwasher. The bench and picnic table outside looked worn out and broken. The door to enter the property was sticking making it difficult to get in even when unlocked. (we oiled it while we were there) Several spot light bulbs were missing & the light over the vanity mirror in the upstairs bathroom didn't work. The door was broken on the bathroom cabinet upstairs so it couldn't be used. Fence posts on gates were broken. Rubbish was strewn outside the property as the previous occupants left a black bag full of rubbish & there was no Wheelie bin to put it in. This resulted in a neighbour(stranger to us) taking photos of it. Slightly alarming. So sad, lovely property but needs a handyman/caretaker.
