Guest Reviews
- ridwaan (5/5): Good stay but ablution facilities must be upgraded - The location The toilets and shower
- Liesel (9/5): -
- Anri (3/5): Terrible! Not recommended! - The location and views were great, but that is unfortunately not enough. The property needs maintenance and overall a good renovation and upgrade. The advertisement said two bathrooms, this is untrue. It is 1 bathroom, a guest toilet and in a cupboard a shower. The space in the shower, which they see as a second bedroom is so small, one cannot get dressed there and needs to step out into the only bathroom. The beds and cushions were uncomfortable, we woke up with back pain daily. The place was dirty, to the extent that we had to was the dishes before we use it. The shower was gross and had old beach sand in the corners.
I have stayed in many places in Paternoster and can honestly say, this was the worse.
- Celliers (10/5): - the sea view nothing love it
- Dave W (5/5): Disappointing - Security is a big issue, felt very unsafe. The security company warned us about the crime and the use of the property as an escape route for criminals. Safe in the house was broken - batteries had leaked acid and were very old.
- Ridwaan (6/5): stay was good but bathrooms can be improved and add another bathroom with shower. - not applicable Only one shower
- Dotty (10/5): Our stay was enjoyable, in such a way that we've decided to continue using the accommodation - near all eating places restaurants, coffeeshops and general shop.
The beach was the biggest attraction.
From all over the house uou can enjoy it.
The house big open plan, bedrooms clean and userfriendly. We enjoyed the braai area with table outside under cover but attached to the house. Sitting in front of the house was a joy.
People stood still and took the cellnr and agent name. A breakaway that was truly great. Maybe just the bathrooms, however it's was a brilliant idea to put the shower standalone. It softened the situation. The restaurant next to or on the side of the house draw many cars that blocks thd view somehow but it did not bother us as this accomodation has the prime location.
- Lynne (7/5): A lovely family stay. - Proximity to the beach and views. Walled and safe environment for dogs and children. Security car bases themselves just outside the house due to the beach. Our second visit here. The safe isn't working and also the main loo cistern needs attention. The lamp switches in the main bedroom need replacing. It's a little tired now.
- Enrico (8/5): We really enjoyed our stay - Location is incredible , house is huge , plenty of room It needs a dishwasher
- Leatitia (7/5): Good - No washing machine and no dishwasher
Furniture a bit outdated
- Becker (5/5): The property is not in a good shape, considering it's for sale by Pam Golding for R 7 000 000-00! - The location was excellent, right across the beach with easy parking for 4 cars. Security/alarm system not in full working order, hence we got broken into on the first night and a handbag and a small belt pouch got stolen containing R 1500-00 cash. Most windows have very primitive locking devices, specially the front windows.
Bathrooms are in need of urgent facelifts with toilet seats starting to de-centigrade. Shower head very dirty. No dishwasher supplied, also there are the connections for it in the kitchen. Lock of the backdoor leading to braai partly broken out of its frame and easy to open up from the outside. No cushions supplied for the outside chairs on the patio.
Limited supply of toilet paper and black bags for rubbish. Front and back garden are not well kept with no lawns at all, only
stones and sand. Bedroom windows all very dirty and definitely not cleaned before our arrival. No hosepipe available to spray them down.
- Gerhard (7/5): Good - view and location carpets really need a clean or replacement
- Neels (9/5): Superb -
- February (8/5): Very good -
- Shanne (7/5): Good - Nice view
House was good. Not a dislike as such
But missing towels and dishwasher which was accidental I'd imagine.
Also a dishwasher would be perfect
- Tasneem (10/5): Exceptional - The view is absolutely amazing. And being so close to the beach is calming in its own.
- Kate (7/5): Budget accommodation in a great location - Great location, across the road from the beach with beautiful views!
Withing walking distance to everything in Paternoster.
Safe parking for 2 cars behind a gate. Very basic set up. No decor or personal touches.
No soaps, extra loo paper or bins in the bathrooms.
House needs some maintenance - and some love.
- Melanie (10/5): Was so special place to add to unforgetable memories made in Paternoster - Excellent Location location location!!
Beautiful spacious clean and beautiful house. Comfortable to accommodate all 5 of us! Nothing!
- John (8/5): Happy - There we not enough bath towels. Also no dish wash cleaner as there was supposed to be.
- Donald (8/5): Very good - Being so close to the beach, the children loved being able to go onto the beach when they wanted.
- Julie (7/5): Good - Great position and great living area. Kitchen extremely well equipped but zero cleaning products. It didn’t really have “two bathrooms”. One separate loo plus one “walk-in cupboard” shower. Plus a room with a bath and toilet and basin. But plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Arrived to find there was only half an inch of hand/body soap in a brown bottle for the whole house. Absolutely no washing up liquid which is a disaster after cooking crayfish for an early dinner. Outside tables hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Front stoep table more like months. So once sorted with soaps we had to sort that out before use. Stoep floors also needed sweeping and mopping. We only swept front stoep.
- Magda (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lynne (8/5): Overall, we had a lovely stay. - A few steps away from the beach. Gated and security alarm. Very well stocked kitchen and towels and toiletries were good. Plenty of storage and hooks in the bathrooms.
Clean environment. Brought our own fan. The lights in the shower and one of the side lamps in the bedroom were not working.
The other bedroom side light kept going off intermittently. Perhaps an electrical fault?
- Leon (9/5): Excellent location - Will stay here again Drain in shower blocked.
- Sonja (8/5): Very good -
- Wayne (9/5): Superb -
- Leanne (9/5): Superb -
- Ricky (8/5): Very good -
- Breyton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wium (7/5): Not fancy, but perfect! - The view is stunning. The house is roomy with lots of open space. The kitchen is well stocked with the necessary pots & pans, etc. The toaster tripped the power. The bathroom lights did not work. Not all bulbs were working perfectly.
- A. (8/5): Excellent Location with great views. - Great Location . Right on the beach with an excellent sea view. Minor maintenance required on the bathroom locks and gates. Could've provided emergency lighting for use during power blackouts.
