• Trish (7/5): Lovely comfortable cottage in a great location, just needs a bit of TLC. - Clean and comfortable in a good location with a safe and private garden. The beds are really comfortable and having your own parking space is great. However, although we’ve stayed at Greenleaf several times over the last few years and while we obviously like it a lot, it could definitely do with some extra attention to detail and a bit of TLC. Several light bulbs were missing, and the cord for the blind on the landing window was not fixed to the wall properly and needed screwing back in - a small detail but this was exactly the same a year ago when we were here. The latch on the gate to the bins and laundry room needs repairing. The garden is nice but the area by the table needs tidying up. Also the details in the info booklet need updating - some information re eating out in Bamburgh was still talking about Covid restrictions. Overall though, it’s a lovely property and hopefully we’ll be back here again sometime soon.
• Janice (8/5): Very comfortable and homely. - In a central but quiet location (might be slightly noisier in high season, I suppose) Dedicated parking. Very thoughtfully equipped, beds extremely comfortable! Originally, the duvet on master bed was summer weight but, when I asked about this, a lady promptly arrived with a nice cosy replacement, no problem. Just an oversight. The frosted glass window in the living room was definitely odd ( think it overlooks adjacent house’s patio) Not really a problem in winter , but might be irritating in summer evenings. However there is a nice little garden to sit in. Main bugbear was the overdose of texts, emails, etc., over-emphasising the need to be out by 10am sharp, with a surcharge for over -running that time, plus list of all chores to be done before departure. Not sure if this was from the owners or from the rental agency but, being elderly and with a mobility issue, I found it a bit harassing to be told this quite so often. NB we were out and away by 9.45am! 👍
