- Lucy (8/5): Lovely stay - We liked how clean it was. The cabin was well appointed. Bed comfy and shower good pressure. Hot tub was fab. We would have preferred to not have to make the bed up on arrival. We also think a cooker would be a good option or a more capable microwave, to give more options at cooking at property.
- david (9/5): gorgeous little cabin for our overnight stay. Hot tub was a lovely surprise -
- Charlotte (8/5): Good, comfy base for exploring the area - Good walk-in shower

- Ryan (10/5): - very nice cosy cabin lovely aesthetic
- Laura (6/5): - Liked the lodge, it was nice and cosy. The privacy for the hot tub should of had blind to cover both sides as very close to the path and next door. Made it awkward. Also there was quite alot of dust on the skirting boards and under the bed.
- Guest (7/5): - The owner said someone would be waiting in reception. No one was waiting. Had to ring a number and the person on the phone said it was the wrong number When asked for the hot tub code. I had no reply from the owner. The cups could be cleaner.

- Simon (9/5): Great location, great accommodation and great value for money - Great location with great decor and very comfortable. Would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet get away. I wouldn’t say there was anything we didn’t like. Could benefit from a small oven but not essential.
This poppy lodge didn’t have a hot tub but tree of the 5 did would have enhanced the experience.
- Robert (10/5): The cabin was brilliant, very cosy and had high quality facilities throughout. The descriptions of the site under sell i - Great size cabin with modern facilities. It felt brand new. The hot tub had pull out screens for privacy.

Great location
- Samantha (5/5): Little sleep - Cleanliness was good and the space. The bed was comfy We were kept awake by a freaking noise all night. We had to make up the beds on arrival
- Nuttall (10/5): -
- Amy (5/5): Average but functional - Tidy and functional for a 1 night stay. Quiet location Not really fit for 4 people as no additional bedding or towels provided. 2 persons max. Bedding a bit stained.
Breakfast advertised but although we were early we were told they hadn't really got anything in but bacon and "maybe" some hash browns, so don't really on breakfast here.
- Anne (8/5): Very good but improved on site eat/drink facilities would be good - Clean and quiet No evening facilities
- Teela (10/5): Lovely central location nice walks - Location and ability to just relax no hassle

- Vlb966 (8/5): I little haven with a demon bed! - Beautiful location and lovely area. The place was so quiet and clean and there was wildlife roaming around early morning and it was lovely to eat breakfast watching the rabbits playing the field. The cabin was so much better than I imagined and lovely and cosey. It was quiet spacious and welcoming I was quiet impressed with the overall appearance. I thought I had dropped on a little haven away from home until I went to bed! Not only was the bed unmade and I had to put all the covers on before I could go to bed it was the worst bed I have ever tried to sleep in. Solid as a rock with a wood frame going through the middle it was like sleeping on a plank. I was rolling forward all the time and could not get any sleep. Everytime one of us moved in bed we were boucing the other out and awake. I couldn't move it hurt so much with the aches and pains the awful bed brought to us both. In the end at 2am I went and slept on the sofa I had no covers as there was just the quilt on the bed no blanket to cuddle under on the sofa. I was then cold so I was still not sleeping properly. The second night I just slept on the sofa fully clothed and didn't go near the bed I was warm and comfortable and slept all night.

- Bethany (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barry (7/5): Average. - Parking and very quiet area. No pillows supplied , bad smell from sewerage system located near cabin .
Bed was not made , sheets were supplied.
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb - Clean, comfortable, spacious, perfect for a lovely weekend retreat Could do with more kitchen utensils and more cups and glasses and beds were unmade
- Nina (10/5): Exceptional - Spotlessly clean. Beautiful location, staff were very friendly and helpful. Absolutely perfect we loved it so much we have already booked to come back Couldn't fault it in any way
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - No tv reception
- Katja (6/5): Pleasant - The cabin itself was clean and spacious and had a very comfortable bed. Very dog friendly place. The site looked like a construction site with various places being dug up or half built. And the cesspit was very smelly. There was also a white crust around the buildings which was probably weed killer, but it contributed to the uninviting atmosphere. Hopefully this is just a temporary state to get the site back on track.
- Sophie (8/5): Pleasant but pricey. - The cabin was very modern, laid out well and had a great bathroom for the space which was very clean. The garden had birds and rabbits in the morning which was sweet, and I can imagine the decking on a summers evening would be perfect. Lovely overall. We had to make our own bed and found our sheets had lots of hairs over them. The duvet was rather old and stained. We contacted the desk and they did provide new ones quickly.
The site is going to eventually be nice, but is a rubble carpark with lots of building in progress at the moment.
It would also be nice if WIFI was provided, and our TV arial didn’t work.
These things didn’t dampen our stay per se, but definitely wasn’t worth nearly £100 a night when things aren’t at a luxury standard.
- Victoria (8/5): Perfect for a short weekend away. - It was a lovely location, a perfect size for myself, my husband, and two dogs.
Great outside space, decking was great, with outside lighting.
- Harriet (10/5): Lovely place in a lovely location -
- Ivone (10/5): Amazing will go back - Everything Should have hob and oven it would be perfect
- Laurence (8/5): We will be back - The lodge was lovely and clean and comfy. We had a great night at the site bar enjoying the evening entertainment. The site is a little bit work in progress with building rubble and temporary fences.
- Kristina (10/5): Comfortable & well maintained - Comfortably and spacious, well maintained with nearly everything we needed. Television did work (ariel not correctly adjusted and would connect to WiFi).
- Hoaksey (8/5): Very good - Location was good for us, comfortable place to stay and great for the dog. Having to make our own bed, no teabags or sugar
Loads of greenfly and ladybirds inside
- Trac (6/5): Paid to stay on a building site. - The actual. Wooden chalet was very nice clean, with an excellent powerful shower. The site was undergoing building work so every day for 3 days we heard large diggers and dump trucks. Work was being done on the chalets with power tools so it was not quiet or relaxing, they even did work on ours when we were in it and lit a bonfire not far from our cabin which caused fire smoke to drift to where we were staying.
The site is near a busy road and there was a lot of road noise, also in the surrounding fields a lot of bird scares were going off like gunshots which scared our dog.
No instructions in the cabin how to set the heating, use the TV or any of the fitted appliances.
The staff didn't seem interested almost as if they'd done is a favour by letting us stop, not that we were paying guests. The dog poo bin was full on arrival and still full 3 days later. The whole site had a half finished feel too it.
We are sure the site will be nice when it is finished but guests should be warned about works at the time off booking.
The bar was only open at weekends.
We have stayed in many places all over Europe and beyond and never been treated to anything like that.
Finally the wooden deck outside the cabin was lethal when wet, very slippery.
Our advice before you book, check all the work is completed and the bar is open.
