• Amanda (10/5): Exceptional - Great location on the main street of Avenida Corrientes, surrounded by many eateries and shops, especially a 24 hr Carrefour just 1 block away, and also within walking distance of the Obelisk (~5 min), Plaza de Mayo (~15min), and even neighbourhoods further away such as San Telmo and Recoleta (~30 min). Some traffic noise is to be expected, but we found it manageable. The building is gated and secure, and although it was in a busy neighbourhood, we still felt safe. The apartment itself is a bit dated, but the hosts have taken effort to keep it clean and tried to brighten it with small touches. All the amenities were provided, including a good kitchen with enough utensils and cutlery for a couple. We loved that both the Wifi and the shower were strong, and in fact the shower was one of the best we've had on our trip. Lastly, Cecilia and her son Guido were lovely and really helpful, including accommodating our timings when we missed a connection and had to delay the check-in, as well as catering to our check-out timings to extent possible. Thank you for a great stay! Some parts of the apartment might need repair (e.g. the small hole in the bathroom floor), and some kitchen utensils may need replacing soon (e.g. lighter and wine opener, which don't work very well). Also a very minor thing, but as the apartment still required a key, it meant we needed to coordinate more closely with the hosts for arrival and departure, which can be a bit challenging on both sides for odd timings. (But Cecilia was more than helpful, so that was really alright in the end.) Would still recommend!
