• Serfontein (10/5): Very nice would book again - The rooms modern ,clean and cosy Thanks for the coffee,sugar en milk,hot water to shower. The little stove stuggled to enlighten with the tin of gas maybe they must check everything before they check in clients to make sure everything is right No directions on the way we drove till we saw the rooms didn't know where to go to get the keys- small hickup

• Mick (10/5): Peaceful, relaxed, very clean, tidy, didnt like the open toilet in the room -just personal opinion. - THE LOCATION WAS BEAUTIFUL AND WELL LOOKED AFTER. WE ENJOYED OUR STAY AND THE BEAUTIFUL VENUE. LOVE THE DOGS. PERSONEL AT VENUE VERY FRIENDLY AND ASSIST VERY WELL WITH THE RAIN. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR A VERY PEACEFUL AND RELAXING STAY. The venue is spectacular. The beds were very comfortable. Rooms were very clean. Love the garden at the rooms.

• van Eck (5/5): The venue have potential, - hope they will be able to lift the standard. - Warm welcome from the owner, he did his best to make us comfortable. Clean room & linen. Beautiful Front Garden with large tree. The Family room toilet that's basically in the room no door. Entering the property -- the Entrance need some attention ( i can see they are working on it) The little gas stove in my room did not work NO coffee - had to drive down the road to get some coffee. Very little to no Phone reception !!

• Madelein (7/5): A modern, spacious unit with a farm-feel an very friendly reception. - Spacious, modern room. Friendly reception. Quiet and a farm feel to the surroundings. A bar fridge was promptly supplied upon request. Unfortunately the duvet/linen in our unit was dirty. We also found a very small cocroach in our bed the following morning.

• Suliwe (2/5): It was very uncomfortable and scary night - The room was spacious The location of the accommodation is very bad in the bush its not visible when you’re driving because its in the bush and its close to the squatters which was very scary and the gate was opened since we checked in at night so we felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. The place was dirty the dust was everywhere it looked like they didn’t clean the room for months.

• Senzile (1/5): DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT PEACE AND VALUE FOR MONEY. - As much as the property was close to my intended destination nothing was enticing about this property. I didn’t like anything about this property. From the moment I made a booking, the first red flag was that i make an upfront payment which i didn’t mind. I tried calling the property owner with regards to logistics for my stay. The phone was not answered for three consecutive days. Mind you I had already paid for my reservation. On the day of my arrival, I started calling in the morning and my call was not answered. After a while, their phone went on voicemail and I couldn’t get hold of the property owners. Luckily, I had the address and I found my way there and upon arrival, they were not expecting me on the day. The owners looked very suprised that i had actually found my way to the property. Then i requested for parking for my vehicle, and they told me i could just park where I was. It was just an open parking with no shelter. Then we were guided to our room, the worst experience ever. When the owners opened the door, we were met by a gabbage bin full of tissues with makeup and we were told it is our room. The floors, bathroom and tables were extremely dirty. There were used coffee mugs and glasses which were extremely dirty. The bedding on one of the beds was dirty and improperly made with no pillows. Then there was a storage area just above our bed which had all filthy used material stored which we were not told about. Then i requested that the room be cleaned. The owner told me that he was not expecting us on the day and when i asked why he didn’t answer my calls, he just said sorry. He was visibly drunk upon our arrival. Then he said he will ask someone to clean our room and it will be ready in 15 minutes. Afterwards he came back to tell us that how about if he arranges alternative accommodation for us to which we agreed. He then disappeared for about 30minutes and his brother came back to tell us that his brother will send a location to our new accomodation to my whatsapp. I insisted that they share the location before i leave which they did.

• Darryl (6/5): Pleasant - clean and modern room with comfy bed had to hunt for someone to acknowledge me to book in tap pressure comes and goes gas ran out after few seconds and no spare gas canister - unable to make coffee.

Should we have a wedding in the area again we will without a doubt book with them again. The place is modern and well looked after. No complaints, I wish we could have stayed an extra night it was that beautiful there. We really loved your place.
• Shani (10/5): Happiness at Kataluma - The room we stayed in was really clean and modern. Looks like it was done recently. Amazing bed and secure parking for our car. Had all facilities as stated on Booking.com. Really impressed. Good value for money! Nothing comes to mind. Really enjoyed our stay.

• Paul (7/5): We were only there for a very short stay so it was manageable - Position and area Beds were great. It seems the family cottage is still in repair/refurbish mode. No curtains in the bottom floor or lights in the shower. Some areas need a cobweb clean. If there is an event at “the venue” just below the cottage by the stream, be prepared for not much sleep. Extremely noisy until around 2am

• Lelani (1/5): Bad - We did not stay with Kataluma Lodge, we have booked, paid and confirmed our booking, the night before the booking, we have been informed that Kataluma has booked this room off the system and its no longer available. Kataluma then had to search for a room for us, to accomodate us with regards to the wedding we attended, we ended up in a small room at Oudehout Mountain Lodge. So for bookings.com or Kataluma Lodge this was not a pleasent experience.
