- John (10/5): - Kristjian was a great host who gave us some good travel tips. The accommodation was very comfortable and great value for money. Would definitely stay here again. The kitchen could do with a bit of modernization but it was functional.
- Michiel (10/5): - Cool view and amazing owner.
Kristian is such a warm person and host.
Thanks for the stay and the wonderfull stories. The place is perfect for backpackers. I didn't had any issues actually.
- Илона (10/5): - Уютное жилье в хорошем месте
- Isaac (8/5): Really lovely time, made everything for my stay easy, would recommend for all! - Location is right next to the airport, and easy to get to the capital city or most hikes! It is nice and affordable and if you get to talk to Kristjan, he is super helpful and thoughtful! Could have been a bit cleaner and tended to more often, but also for what you are paying for it is excellent.
- Zhi-Yi (9/5): - Clean, quiet, not many people living in the same flat. Would be great to have more new fry pans.

- Tuija (9/5): Hintaan nähden, loistava majoitus, upea hiekkaranta ja sen ympäristö kadun toisella puolella - Näkymä ikkunasta oli ihana, lampaita
Hinta-laatusuhde loistava

- Maria (7/5): Affordable, convenient, could use a clean. - Surprisingly comfortable twin bed. Good location with easy access to airport and Torshavn. This place definitely needs a deep clean. And a regular bathroom clean. Stayed 5 night, with others checking in and out during this time and the host never cleaned the bathroom.
- Debjeet (10/5): A fantastic property in a convenient location - This is the second of Kristjan and Liv's properties in the Faroes, where I stayed during my trip to the islands. Like the other properties, this is also lovingly maintained. I enjoyed cooking a meal in the kitchen and relaxing in the common spaces. The property is located a short walk from the nearest bus stop, from where regular buses head to the airport and to Tórshavn. The property is walking distance to one of Vágar Island's nicest hikes: Trøllkonfingur. And it is one bus stop from the village where the trail starts for Sørvágsvatn (aka the famous "floating" lake). Kristjan came over to check on me and we enjoyed a deep, lengthy conversation on many aspects of life in the Faroes. It was fitting that my first and last nights in the islands were spent in one of his properties. He is a great guy, who truly wants to ensure that visitors have a wonderful time in the Faroes. There are limited options for eating and for purchasing groceries in the village in which the property is situated. It's a bit of a walk to the nearest restaurants and grocery store. I made sure to purchase groceries beforehand, as I did not have a rental car with me during the time I stayed here.
- Gábor (9/5): Superb -
- Bo (5/5): Passable - location no heat
- Jüriado (3/5): Poor - Stuffy room, no way to open the window. No heating in the room. One wall basically a curtain to the living room. Noisy. Bad linen and pillows. Room humid and damp because of no ventilation.
- Felix (8/5): Very good -
- Johansen (10/5): Kristjan does a lot to make you feel at home and always happy to help. There’s a kitchen and a room in a house; all you - Great host.
- Rod (10/5): Great location & great price! - Everything you need - the room had been redecorated since nice last year. All clean & tidy All good!
- Damian (10/5): Fantastic place if you rent a car, looking for price friendly, and enjoy peace - Very quiet, nice area, easy to get to and from different islands No restaurants nearby
- Gino (7/5): Good - Price is very good for the Faeroes and the location is perfect if the next day you have an early flight out. The property is pretty noisy, the people on the floor below can be heard often.
- Marit (8/5): lots of space with beautiful view - Very nice house and room. Close by the busstop and nice hiking closeby. Looks a bit old, but overal its nice
- Bruce (8/5): Last minute booking before flying home. - Roomy, homelike No complaints.
- Habicht (9/5): like at home -
- Lupasrou (8/5): Central guest house with good views towards the fiord or the mountain - The host was very helpful and modified very conveniently my reservation. The home is very centrally located and very cozy. Although lacking a microwave oven which is very convenient while traveling, the common kitchen was very well equipped. My room was tiny but had good storage room and the bed was very comfortable. The common areas are cozy and it's fun to interact with other guests. There's only one shared bathroom for the 3 guest rooms which could be problematic, but it was mainly ok. If you're looking for luxury this is not your place. Suitable for travelers used to staying in nice humble places and bringing their own food.
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice guesthouse, like staying at home, well equipped kitchen, super clean, great location. Close to airport and in a pretty town near several hikes. Recommended.
- Marlies (9/5): Superb - Very nice owner, really helpfull en friendly
- Simon (8/5): A good location. Good facilities at the shared house. Clean and all utensils in the kitchen. - I stayed in room no 2. A small room big enough for 1. The owner was friendly and helpful throughout the booking process and when I was staying at the house. A good location set back from the main road and close to the bus stop. Easy access from the airport. Could benefit from black out curtains in the summer as the blinds did not seem to work properly.
- Rod (9/5): Perfect base for exploring the islands - 10 minutes bus from the airport & half an hour from the capital! - Everything promised was there, excellent position , great views, near public transport, basic facilities, good value, friendly owner & agent. Can’t think of anything!
- Pawel (5/5): Passable -
- Mary (9/5): Superb - There was a problem with the room when I arrived that was not the host’s fault, but he was easy to reach and immediately took care of it. :)
The photos accurately show how small the room is, but the common area is lovely and with great view. Also, there’s a closet with two shelves in the small room so room for your stuff.
- Dominic (6/5): Pleasant -
- Pasta (8/5): Great time! Could use better directions for the check-in though. - Great kitchen and very clean overall. Seems like the owner has really cleaned everything up when comparing my experience to other people's comments. Had a hard time figuring out if I was in the right place and how to get in since I didn't have internet when I arrived. For anyone in my situation, you need to walk up the stairs to the door at the back. Then, walk through the first door inside that doesn't have a number on it to get into the kitchen where there is a phone to call the host and the internet code. Also there was nothing to do in the village really.
- Christian (9/5): Budget-friendly homestay-like accommodation with hiking options nearby - The village is nice and offers some beautiful hikes; the guesthouse is a cozy home with everything I needed, the room itself is quite small but the shared living is spacious and confortable, there is also a well-equipped shared kitchen. The host was always responsive and flexible.
- Zhkkk (10/5): Exceptional - Cozy apartment, there are 2 bedrooms in the second floor
- Karyn (9/5): Excellent Host! - Location was within walking distance of the very cute town of Sandavagur and was close to the airport. The room was quiet and clean. It was perfect for a stayover before my flight out. The host Kristian was very accommodating and helpful!
- Adam (9/5): Cozy apartment and a great host - Good bus connection to the capital and the airport. If you want to see something more around the islands, consider renting a car.
The room itself is extremely tiny, it's basically just the bed behind a door. You share the other areas of the house with other guests, if there are any. I had the whole house to myself, so I had all the comfort I could ask for. There is a beautiful view of the village from the kitchen and living room. You can always contact the host by phone, he will answer any questions and help you get around.
Also very decent price for the Faroes. The village itself is quite cold, much colder than the capital and there is only one shop, which was often closed. You might need to go to Tórshavn to do some shopping.
- Kevin (1/5): Uninhabited - Nobody was there, nobody answered my messages. I had to spend lots of money to buy a last-minute room somewhere else.
- Josefina (2/5): Very poor - The place was very dirty, not easy to get to and there was no one to communicate with (we did not receive any information prior to our arrival, and when we tried to contact the host, we never got a reply). The window in our room could not be opened.
- Avi (8/5): disappointment ( beside the well coming host) - very nice and great host very small room. just a bed. small open spaces only in the second floor. no entry to kitchen. not a possibility to make Coffey or tea. not a glass for water. we lived basically with the host in the same floor and shared with with them the bath room.
- Hamed (8/5): Cozy home, good location. Beds could be more comfortable. - Very nice host, We talked over the phone and he's very helpful. The location is very good with a nice view over the small town and lovely church.
Big living room and even a glassed balcony if you want to use. But I didn't use it. I had the smallest room, and it was a bit tight, but enough for a solo traveler. Bed was not super comfortable (specially the pillow). Also would be good if they put some sort of shower gel or shampoo in the bathroom.
- Vanessa (7/5): Lovely home but no hygiëne. - Despite the owner sickness, he was very friendly and welcoming. The room we got was big and the location was perfect. For such a beautiful home, to have everything so dirty, the bathroom was not done probably in months which was disgusting. And under the bed haven't been looked at probably for years. (Were layers of dust)
- Daniela (7/5): Good - Breakfast Room and bathroom
- Min (8/5): Very good - Good for value, quick stay. Super chill owner. Need a little more detailed instructions. (Need to go to the backside of the apartment)
Owner is hard to contact via app. Place is a little dirty, but its manageable considering cheap price.
- Ivan (6/5): Good location - Location was good. Living room and kitchen were spacey. Communication with the host was poor. We had to use intuition to work out how to access the property, get towels, learn where things were... Other gests worked out the induction. Cleanliness should also be improved.
- Lea (7/5): Good - Fine kitchen and OK bathroom. Nice to have the possibility to cook for ourselves. Quite calm as there can only be 1-2 other couple/ guests. Our beds were bunk beds, we'd hope for a double bed as we're a couple. You would need to have a car here, as its quite long from everything and the bus only goes once per 2-3 hour.
- Yamini (5/5): Passable - Location, check in was smooth Bedsheets and blanket we’re not clean
Twin bed room had a bunk bed
- Lalith (7/5): Good -
- Jonathan (10/5): Amazing times in Sandavagur - It's a guest house with a max capacity of 5 people which means there's not a ton of privacy, but in our case, we actually got to build a great friendship the 2 other guests.
It's really close to the airport and has a lovely view. Wifi was reliable for videocalls. The listing says that the Double and Twin rooms also have a full bed, but that is not actually the case.
- Mirjam (3/5): Poor - Location was very nice and the staff was very friendly! It was unfortunately very dirty and untidy
- Bruce (10/5): The perfect stay in the perfect place - The place was very clean, the house has the best living room with a view in the city. Nothing
- Andrei (7/5): Charming property-with a few touches it could be great - Very good quality /price ratio. The common room and dinner area looked very nice. The person that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The kitchen had all we needed for cooking.
The property is 5m from the last(the red) roundabout in the village as you exit the roundabout in the direction of the airport in case you do not find it over the gps(that was our case) It did not look like it was cleaned recently(linen was clean, the rest was dusty).room sold as twin but has bunk beds.
- Andrea (9/5): Superb -
- Arjun (9/5): Superb -
- Macgregor (8/5): Very good -
- Macgregor (8/5): Very good - Location to the airport and very well priced Not the comfiest beds or cleanest, but you get what you pay for, and for a night's stay it's good enough
- Martina (7/5): Good - There is a spacious common space and the accommodation is just next to the bus stop and in very nice location.
We were also allowed to check in early and the manager was helpful. The room with bunk beds is very small and there is no place to store things. But it is compensated with the big common area.
- Olivia (9/5): Comfortable, clean and no fuss :) - Host very understanding of our late arrival due to public transport, and had lots of great info about the Faroe Islands when we did meet him. Place very clean and comfortable. Wifi did not work on arrival, but host sorted the problem quickly!
