• Roland (7/5): good stop over - Used as a stop over on way tot he alps so arrived late and left early. Easy access without receptionist but staff in the morning nice and helpful. Location meant that we couldn't walk into town (but that might be because we arrived late and couldn't see another wat in rather than along the road.
• Ann (8/5): Must have been a fluke to have no other guests but we loved it and found a great restaurant nearby. It was Petite Venis - It was an interesting building and the information provided was good. Care had been taken to make it easy to recycle all materials and there were chickens in the garden. We had the whole building to ourselves as we were the only guests and used the self check in as reception closed at midday on our Sunday arrival day. The breakfast was good- a great touch to have a crèpe machine and ready mixed batter. Staff that appeared on Monday morning were very pleasant. The outside was shabby and in need of a fair amount of TLC. If I was passing by I would not have chosen to stay there which would have been a pity! There was no lift and the triple room for us and our granddaughter was on the second floor with two double flights of stairs. Fortunately although 80+ we are pretty agile!

• AVRIL (10/5): Ideal and well situated. - We had a disabled room it was nice and clean, the beds were comfortable and the shower was excellent plenty of rails and a seat if needed. The staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and we weren't rushed.

We would recommend this Tourhôtel and its positive environmental aims. - Our bathroom was a little tired…a few mould stains and some enamel missing from the bath , but it was clean and the water was hot. The beds were v comfy and the room easily heated ( autumn) . Lots of local info which was good and interesting. The staff were friendly and helpful too. We loved the visiting cat!

• Sarah (9/5): Basic but friendly and a ‘home from home’. - The property had a lovely, welcoming feeling and the staff were really lovely and friendly. They even had a friendly cat who welcomed us to the hotel, making it feel like a home from home! The hotel felt quite spacious and comfortable. The only negative was the stair gate in our family room (with mezzanine). Whilst it was needed as our toddler is quite the explorer - our 1 year old was able to navigate it quite easily as it wasn’t very robust. We were only there one night so it wasn’t an issue. The older children loved the mezzanine and sleeping arrangements!

• Marc (7/5): Goed zonder meer - Ik ging gewoon voor een kamer met bad en bed, zonder hoge verwachtingen. Kamer kwam dus perfect overeen met de verwachtingen. De plaats waar ik mijn fietsen kon stellen was heel primitief

Svp utilisez du produit adéquat pour le nettoyage des toilettes, le calcaire incrusté donne très mauvaise allure !!! Dommage qu'il y a pas d'ascensseur, 2 étages avec bagages c'est difficile pour moi !

• Andreas (2/5): Furchtbares Hotel, niemals wieder. - Lage in der Nähe der Autobahn Gestank beim Betreten des Hotels sowie vor allem im Zimmer. An Schlafen mit geschlossenen Fenstern war nicht zu denken, dadurch Lärmbelästigung von der Straße. Extrem schlechte Matratzen.

You can take your dog out and watch the chickens. The bed was really comfy and the sheets and pillows are good. Clean throughout. There was an unusual smell when I arrived in the afternoon which wasn't present when I went down for breakfast. If you want a cooler room ask for the ground or first floor as the second floor has a glass roof which adds to the issue mentioned in other reviews. I was there on the 21st of June. Humid but cloudy. It wasn't a problem so much. I booked this place because they say they serve food. Another reviewer mentioned it. They don't. I wanted an easy stay with food in the building as I was tired from travelling. I asked the owner about the food and he said to ask the receptionist when she is free. Now I know why. Why lie on B.com? It took me over an hour to get something ordered and another for delivery. Don't get pizza from, I think it was called "mama's pizza" very disappointing. They offer homemade soup, a single portion to hear in the microwave for €10. There's a menu by reception? This is the reason for a low score. I was considering a second night. It states on the door the in-person price. €12 cheaper than I paid the night before. It states this in the hotel's handbook.Yet they insisted I pay the same as the first night. Checking booking.com. It was even cheaper than their price for that night. I left. Cat caused an issue with getting back into the hotel as it was scared.

• Phil (6/5): Basic & Convenient for Euro Tunnel. - The hotel is designed much like a greenhouse and it is not air conditioned, so the upstairs rooms are like an oven in the summer resulting in a very hot clammy disrupted nights sleep. The hotel is well positioned as a stop for the tunnel. Breakfast buffet was very good. Easy checking in and out. Very hot, requires air conditioning. Hotel has a neglected feel about it
