• Andrea (8/5): Wunderschön und einzigartig - Dieser Ort ist für Reisende zu empfehlen, die Ruhe und Natur suchen. An einem der besten Plätze für astronomische Beobachtungen, lohnt sich der Blick in den Sternenhimmel hier ganz besonders. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und mit einer wunderschönen Terrasse ausgestattet. Die Zufahrt zum Haus entspricht landestypischen Verhältnissen. Mit dem Motorrad für geübte Fahrer erreichbar.

• Maurice (10/5): - Casa Brisa, set among the almond groves, is a perfect location for a peaceful stress free stay. Located well away from the bustle and high prices of the tourist coast, it is close enough for a day trip to the beach at  Mojácar or a visit to the interesting villages and towns in Almeria province. We stayed for a week and enjoyed the large terrace and amazing views by day and the stars at night. The house is well equipped with a full kitchen and the ever helpful Phil is there if anything else is needed. Top tip: if you are arriving at a weekend and plan to stay for a few days, buy some provisions on route Maurice 26/04/2026
• ManuGzHz (10/5): Espectacular. ¡VOLVEREMOS PHIL! - - Ubicación de ensueño. Tranquilidad absoluta. - Phil es muy amable y te ayudará en todo lo que necesites. Se preocupa para que todo esté bien y está muy atento con sus huéspedes. - Tiene chimenea, horno, cocina, cafetera, etc. - Casa enorme, con todo lo necesario. - Cielos nocturnos impresionantes. - Rutas de senderismo allá donde mires. - Cabeza del Valle del Almanzora (y sus pueblos/senderos/curiosidades a 30-60 minutos de coche). Tener una ubicación así de increíble requiere necesitar coche para cualquier desplazamiento y un tramo de camino para llegar hasta la casa. Aún así, no está tan mal el camino y vale la pena reservar 100% sin dudar. . ¡No hay transporte público! No lo pongo como negativo, lo escribo para que la gente lo tenga en cuenta y luego no valore negativamente este aspecto.

• Pau (10/5): Una experiencia inolvidable - Bueno, ¿qué decir de este alojamiento? Estuvimos más de 10 noches y ha sido una experiencia inolvidable. Estás en medio de la nada, pero a la vez muy cerca de dos pueblos con todo lo necesario, ambos con mucho encanto. La zona es simplemente preciosa: rodeada de almendros y con una calma difícil de encontrar. Fuimos con nuestras mascotas y fue algo totalmente revelador. Por primera vez sentimos que estaban realmente en paz, disfrutando del entorno y siendo ellos mismos. Para nosotros también fue muy especial. La chimenea creaba un ambiente único que aún hoy seguimos recordando, y que nos hizo desconectar y reconectar con nosotros mismos. Además, para nuestra sorpresa, tuvimos la gran suerte de despertarnos una mañana con todo nevado, lo que aportó un toque mágico al viaje y fue algo completamente imprevisible para nosotros. Las instalaciones están de 10: una cocina amplia, tres habitaciones muy completas y acogedoras y, en nuestro caso, siendo pareja, más que suficiente con el baño. Todo estaba impecable, muy limpio y cuidado al detalle. La decoración es muy agradable y totalmente en sintonía con el entorno de la casa. Además, la zona exterior es preciosa, perfecta tanto para almorzar como para disfrutar por la noche. Todo está preparado para que estés lo mejor posible, pero lo que realmente marca la diferencia es Phil. Un anfitrión increíble: cercano, atento y lleno de detalles. Cada día pendiente de nosotros, trayéndonos leña para la chimenea, compartiendo historias… y haciéndonos sentir como en casa. Ver las estrellas por la noche fue algo mágico; nunca habíamos visto un cielo tan despejado y espectacular. La verdad es que no tenemos absolutamente nada negativo que decir. Ha sido una experiencia increíble que sin duda repetiremos en el futuro. Simplemente impresionante. Gracias, Phil, por todo.

• Dawn (10/5): Amazing host and location - perfect get away. - Absolutely fantastic stay. Our host Phil could not have done more to make us feel welcome: from his cheerful welcome to the top tips of where to eat/visit/walk, he was a superb host along with Eva. The location is easy to find with the help of Phil's advanced information and whilst accessible from a farm track it was easy to negotiate and use in our Fiat 500. The converted farmhouse is fabulous - it is full of charm and character and has everything you could possibly need; additional blankets for the cool mountain evenings, sun loungers and patio furniture with BBQ for the sunny days. The kitchen has everything you could need for self-catering. The views are stunning and with so many walks in the area it is a perfect spot for those looking to escape to the hills and the campo. The dark skies make for excellent star gazing at night from the patio before retreating inside to enjoy the warmth from the log burner. Phil makes sure you have enough firewood to last with a morning delivery every day. The bedrooms are comfortable and cosy and full of character. The shower has plenty of hot water. The internet connection is strong with excellent download and upload speeds for those that need access. Hendrix the dog is so friendly and will often pop in to say hi too :) The nearby small town of Cullar (~20min drive) has all amenities that are needed: 3 supermarkets, vets, bars and restaurants. The closest village, Oria (~10min drive) has a small supermarket and some small tapas bars for convenience. A visit to Castril is a must! There are stunning walks along the gorge and to a nearby waterfall although the routes were closed for us due to the risk of rock falls after the heavy rainfall in the previous weeks. The main large town for supermarkets is Albox (~35min drive). We would recommend staying at Casa Brisa unreservedly and have already booked a return visit for next year as we loved it so much. Leaving to go back to cold, wet UK!

• Vanesa (10/5): - Una estancia maravillosa. La casa es acogedora, tranquila y rodeada de naturaleza. Por la noche pudimos ver las estrellas, una experiencia realmente especial. El entorno es precioso y se nota el cariño del propietario en cada detalle: desde las almendras orgánicas de sus propios árboles hasta los elementos con historia de la casa, que hacen que la experiencia sea auténtica y única. Ideal para desconectar, disfrutar del silencio y del campo. Sin duda, un lugar al que nos encantaría volver.
• Maksim (10/5): Cozy, spacious and welcoming - We spent a few wonderfully peaceful days here — the kind of place where you can truly switch off and slow down. The house is incredibly cozy, with many authentic details and lots of space both inside and outside. The wood-burning stove makes the evenings especially warm and atmospheric. It is very comfortable for families: plenty of room for children to play and for adults to relax without feeling crowded. A special thank you to the hosts, Philip and Eva. They are genuinely kind and welcoming people, always ready to help with anything and happy to share tips about interesting places in the area. Our children absolutely loved making friends with their dog Hendrix and playing with him every day — it became one of the highlights of our stay. A perfect choice for anyone looking for peace, privacy and a real taste of Andalusia. We would love to come back

• Adrián (10/5): La brisa entre enebros y almendros - Brisa es un cortijito entre campos de almendros bosque mediterráneo con un encanto y sencillez realmente entrañables. El silencio en el viento, el calor de la hoguera, un verdadero remanso de tranquilidad en equilibrio con su medio. Phil y Eva, los anfitriones, son reflejo de su cortijo, dos personas muy cercanas , honestas y tranquilas, ha sido un placer compartir momentos con ellos. No hay nada que hubiera cambiado.

• JOSE MARÍA (10/5): - Como la primera vez, a diferencia de otras fechas, ha sido maravilloso poder disfrutar de unas instalaciones propicias de encanto, disfrutar del paisaje y la calidad de su cielo. En lo personal, Phil y Eva son anfitriones de alta calidad, dispuestos a mejorar las características de su hogar como sacar brillo al encanto del paisaje en el que se encuentran. Repetiremos sin dudar! Que nuestra instancia fuera tan corta, nos abrazo su encanto y toda la naturaleza con el gusto exquisito de la casa, que era una pena abandonarla.

Peaceful, clean and comfortable with a lovely log fire, loads of patio space, and a very welcoming host. We loved the stargazing and the extra blankets supplied for this. Well decked out kitchen for self catering. Nothing.

• Lionel (10/5): A fantastic hidden gem in a wonderful,serene setting - The setting was gorgeous and relaxing. The property had been renovated very tastefully. It had an excellent bed and a fantastic outdoor shower and tub in a beautiful setting. Phil was very helpful and extremely friendly .
• Florencia (10/5): Lugar para desconectar, vistas excepcionales. - La casa y sus vistas son maravillosas. Phil su dueño es encantador y hace que la estancia sea perfecta.
• Mario (9/5): Tranquilidad y un cielo asombroso. - Buena ubicación. Excelente si buscas tranquilidad y amas la naturaleza. También es óptimo para la observación del cielo nocturno. La casa es amplia, bien decorada y las cámas son cómodas. El anfitrión fue un verdadero encanto. Se preocupó porque nuestra estancia fuera lo más cómoda y completa posible, con todo tipo de ayuda e indicaciones. Un 10 para Phil! Los únicos puntos a mejorar podrían ser la limpieza del interior de la casa, que aunque aceptable, podría ser mejor. Y el menaje de cocina, que es algo limitado.

• Lorna (10/5): Stunning house & views with a lovely host - Friendly welcome from Phil, he’s a super lovely guy who helped carry my bag, showed me around and messaged to make sure everything was ok. The house has been restored very lovingly and there’s character everywhere you look. Gorgeous fire, everything you could need in the house plus thoughtful extras and stunning views. Couldn’t ask for anymore. Even when I had to unexpectedly leave early, he was helpful and kind Would definitely return. Thanks for a short but memorable stay :)
