• Dirk (5/5): - Was ok in het centrum van Panjakent. Je moet Cash betalen, geen creditkaart. Bij het boeken staat dat de prijs in dollar wordt omgerekend naar de TJS aan de keors van de dag. De koers die ze gebruiken is alles behalve correct.

Egy ilyen hotelben elvárható, hogy víz legyen a szobában. De. még a reggelinél sem volt. A reggeli borzalmas. 2 nő dolgozott ott, akik útálják a vendégeket. Azt hogy nem köszönnek, az még csak bosszantó, de a reggeli az förtelmes. Száraz kenyér, túró,tejföl, kása, főtt tojás, ami isten tudja,hogy mikor főzték. Kérdeztük,... vaj? Na..akkor már arcokat is vágtak konyhás nők. A tulaj elszaladt a közértbe vajért. Odacsapta az egyik nő a meghozott vajat az asztalra. Egyétek. SE jam, se felvágott, se másmilyen tojás. Aki nem ehet, vagy nem szeretni a tejterméket, az itt éhen hal. A Tulaj a kifizetett szobaárról nem adott számlát.

• Tommi (8/5): One night stay in Panjakent - A nice soviet style hotel in the center of Panjakent. The mananger didn't speak English but had a son who could be called in case of any questions.
• Mark (10/5): Great place for layover. Very helpful staff! - Comfortable room, beds and bathroom. Comron was very welcoming, and helped us arrange a taxi to Dushanbe the next day, so we were picked up at the hotel by a comfortable car.
• Elizabeth (6/5): Small Local Hotel Near to Central Shopping District - This basic hotel is located near the downtown shopping district, ATMs and the local market. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the fact that there was a refrigerator in the room. The front desk clerk was super helpful in organizing a cross-country taxi for me (a solo traveler) to reach my next city. He spoke English despite the fact that that Booking.com says only Russian is spoken here. Breakfast was hearty and decent. The floor in the room was filthy: clearly hadn't been vacuumed in a while. The bathroom also didn't look particularly clean. I can deal with shabby, but I'm not sure why the room was dirty in this way. The grocery store listed as being directly underneath is currently under renovation in summer 2025. I mention the latter, as I was relying on it being there from a previous review.

• Josh (5/5): Good Location, But... - Good location and spacious room. When I arrived at the hostel, the Wi-Fi was not working, and I had to wait about three hours for it to be restored. Overall, the facilities were run-down, and the water pressure in the shower was weak. A staff member at the front desk didn’t speak English, which made communication a bit difficult.

Owner Imam was extremely helpful and friendly and was able to organise a day trip into the Fan Mountains for me. (I was able to speak to his son on the phone whose English is excellent). The hotel is quiet and well located.

The ground floor is taken up by a clothing store. Reception is on upper floor, accessed by the external fire No lift. Poor value for money.

The water pressure is quite low in the private bathroom, but you can clean with patience. They let me leave my backpack in the locked conference room while I went up into the Fann Mountains for a couple of days. Thank you!

• Michelle (10/5): Perfect Stay in Panjakent - Great hotel in Panjakent! Super clean and really comfortable rooms in a central location. The owners and staff were all so very nice and welcoming. Shortly after my arrival a large bottle of water, juice, and fresh fruits arrived at my door! Komron was super helpful during my stay. He called and arranged a shared taxi to Haft Kul for me and helped arranged lodging for me there. He also carried my bag to where the shared taxi was and made sure that I was able to connect with the driver. He even let me store some items at the hotel for free when I went to Haft Kul, which was really really helpful. Definitely went out of his way to make sure everything went smoothly for me during my stay. Impeccable customer service all the way around. Highly recommend! Everything was great!

• David (10/5): Excellent stay - This is not a budget hotel. I had a spacious single room with a TV and a fridge, with private bathroom. Breakfast was included in the price. There was excellent, free WiFi, and superb A/C. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly, English-speaking owner. He organised a trip for me to Haft-Kul/Seven Lakes. When I went to change money to pay him - er, on a Sunday, dumbo! - and found I couldn't, he accepted about half the bill in euros. The location is great, in the town centre. Cost for three nights - €60 equivalent. Eh?

Excellent location on main street within walking distance of market, many rstaurents and Rudaki museum. The person at reception when I arrived does not speak English but he put me through to his son by phone to clarify issues, arrange trips, etc... I was requested to go to the second floor for breakfast and could only see tables and coffee machine. it was unclear how to get the breakfast. Eventually found someone to serve me some food. which was limited

• Anonymous (7/5): Probably your best bet in Panjikent - The kindness of the receptionist, he was really helpful and funny, for changing money too and for advice around the city. A very good person that is. The breakfast was really poor. Some hard bread, oily eggs and sausage. The bathroom was not clean. Personally i would advice to have a warm night light close to the bed, so your eyes dont burn away when you need to go the toilet at night :D.
