Guest Reviews
- Astrid (9/5): - Traff aldri personalet
- David (8/5): Experience real Riomaggiore! - The location is fabulous- the terrace is up above the marina so you can watch the boats and the people, but you still have privacy. You get to experience the real Riomaggiore as you make your way from the train to the hotel. Feels very local and authentic. Litsa stairs - pack light! It would be great to have a sink on the upper floor near the fridge and the coffee maker- had to wash dishes in the bathroom sink which was down a steep flight of stairs. The bed part of the sleeper sofa on the upper floor was stained.
- Sheila (6/5): when you are travelling you need more assistance than what was received. I would pick another spot - the location was good and the view was good The coffee maker and air con did not work at all or not well. There was a promise that someone would come and check but that did not happen. the picture showed a balcony so read the fine print.
- Guest (9/5): An incredibly hidden gem with a beautiful view! - Breathtaking view and location, everything was clean and facilities were amazing, thank you so so much for making our first holiday so unforgettable ❤️
- Sandra (10/5): We had a wonderful time in this beautiful part of the world and our accommodation was great. - the views were stunning. The apartment was in a good location and the room size was generous.
- Marc (10/5): Small but clean and amazing staff - It was very clean and well kept. Staff even helped carry our luggage through steps and stairs; excellent service! Bathroom is a bit small, and not enough toiletries were provided for 2 people / 3 days.
- Simi (8/5): It was a decent stay overall. The big plus was the view, location and ease of access to the train station - Great view of ocean and hills from bedroom Room is very small and it is a bit hard to move around. I also found the bed to be slightly harder than usual.

- Charles (9/5): Very enjoyable and clean room in a beautiful town with the perfect view. Would reccommend! - The most beautiful view, close to the beach, clean rooms, all the facilities we needed (AC, fans, watercooker, coffee maker, fridge), good bathroom, very welcoming and helpful host. Small room (but just fine for a couple)

- Jan (8/5): Perfekt beliggenhed og flot udsigt - men kan ikke anbefales til gangbesværede. En meget hyggelig by. -

- Monieke (10/5): Great location and view! - Great location, incredible views, homely little double story apartment.
Comfortable bed and air con works well (did take us a while to change from heating to air con). The second bed is a pull out couch, bit squeaky and probably preferred for one person not two but no complaints for the one person who slept there.
Host let us leave our luggage in the room earlier in the day so we were able to put bags in room before check in at 3pm.
Great instructions to get into the property.
Overall great stay! There is a lot of stairs so if you struggle with stairs in a narrow hallway then you may not like this, this didnt impact our stay in anyway and the stairs are well worth the view from the terrace and the location of the apartment. Also check the stairs for the alley way as there is a steep set and a not so steep set which we wished we had found first!
Would be great if there was wine glasses, there are coffee mugs which we enjoyed our wine in enjoying the view however there was only two mugs and two espresso mugs and we had 3 people!
- Roisin (10/5): Clean and comfortable room with amazing staff. Location is perfect! - My husband and I stayed for two nights in the Fossola room and we throughly enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and comfortable though we hardly spent any time there except to sleep as we were too busy exploring the beautiful Cinque Terre region. What really stood out for us was the staff, they were so friendly and accomodating. Accomodation is perfect for a couple. We would absoloutely stay here again Not necessarily something we disliked but just a heads up that if you stay here be prepared to walk up and down a fair number of steps each day. Backpacks are a whole lot easier to get up and down than a suitcase
- Jen (9/5): We loved our stay here. The staff were excellent communicators and sent great videos to assist with arrival and parking - This was a great place to stay and a big apartment split over two levels. The terrace had a wonderful view and a lovely spot for an evening drink or take away.
- Tania (7/5): Good -
- Leonard (7/5): This is good location for a night or two for someone not spending much time in room. - The multiple rooms were a good features. The view from the small terrace was lovely. The air conditioner worked well. We were disappointed in the response for services. There was no cover of any kind over the terrace, so I had to spend time improvising a cover to protect against the hot sun. It took a very long time to get an iron and board that we requested before our trip. We were disappointed in the available supplies. i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, glasses. Bed comfort was poor.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - This apartment was great for our party of 10 (5 adults plus 5 "adult" children 17-25). We were able to secure 2 parking spots from our host since we drove in from Florence. Our host arranged and extra room for us to ensure all 10 of us would be comfortable. We specifically rented the unit with the terrace and views at night while we enjoyed some drinks was amazing. The location was great - just a short walk to the train station to visit the rest of the coast. Well supplied with hair dryers, towels for everyone, mini fridge in each room and air conditioning that worked well. Keypad entry was convenient since we all split up during our stay and were in and out of the apartments and we didn't have to worry about sharing keys.
In one room, the air conditioner wasn't working upon arrival, but the staff had it fixed before we returned from exploring town. The staff was very responsive to any questions we had. Everything was great.
- Daisy (10/5): Lovely - Amazing view from bedroom. Very comfortable beds and great staff Unfortunately due to location the wifi wasn’t working and we had no signal however we only stayed one night and this may not be the case always.
- Biagi (10/5): Elegant and well thought out home - Just outside the walls of Lucca’s Porta Elisa entrance this unit is a beautiful walk to get inside the walls for exploring, shopping, and excellent restaurants. Unit is renovated and extremely clean and Massimo takes extreme pride in this location and in the Lucchesi traditions. The outdoor garden area also very refreshing. Bikes and a close walk from the train station also very nice.
- Peter (2/5): Riomaggiore , a painful tourist trap. - The view from the window was wonderful. I rarely ever place criticism . But a warning to senior citizens , people with a little extra weight , disabled people , Riomaggiore is NOT for you . The property is reached by firstly descending the steep downhill from the municipal carpark 200 mtrs away. You'll then have to enter an alley way up and down flights of uneven and high stairs to reach the property which again is all steep stairs . Shops and restaurants close early for their siesta and early again at 22.00 pm .
- Putri (9/5): Worth the hike :) - The room is divided into three sections: a bathroom, a bedroom, and a living room equipped with a smart TV & terrace with a stunning view. The host is very helpful. There were a few leftover beer bottles on the terrace and some unwashed coffee cups upon arrival.
- Lissa (6/5): Terrace view amazing - Location excellent and terrace saved it. Eduardo from the booking agency was excellent and so helpful Too expensive for what was provided except the view. On arrival toilet broken but was fixed; limited supplies in kitchen eg no teaspoons, no glasses. Only two coffee mugs for three people. Steps are very steep but not as many as other places.
- Jenna (10/5): Would recommend!!! - We absolutely loved our stay here! Gabriele was very accommodating and even helped us with restaurant recommendations when we got in very late. The location is perfect and there were very few stairs to get to the unit, which was helpful for traveling with suit cases. It was also very close distance to the train station! The room was clean and cozy and had a beautiful view from the windows. I would 100% recommend staying here!!!
- Santos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrea (8/5): Very good - The view, the clarity of the staff, cleanliness.
- Nico (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melissa (10/5): Todo estuvo excelente - La terraza y las vistas Las escaleras
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (9/5): Superb - I loved my stay here and would highly recommend. Easy walk from station with maybe 12 stairs only, compared to some this is amazing. The room was neat and clean and although compact the views were outstanding as is the proximity to everything. I had quick , pleasant and helpful replies to any queries. Thank you
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Natasha (9/5): Excellent service and location -
- Pamela (6/5): As we say in the US…. “Meh”. Not great, not terrible. - The photo here does not depict our unit. The unit itself was cute and inviting. The location was good without too many steps. Communication with the host was very good. The shower was very small and we had trouble with the hot water. Not only did we have a cold shower but our travel companions in the unit above us did as well. The refrigerator did not work so my husband was put in a position of removing the broken one (which had a terrible odor) and hauling another down two flights of stairs.
- Debra (7/5): Good - good location We had a bottle of wine to celebrate, but NO drinking glasses.
Perhaps 2 glasses would be appreciated!
- Jeff (9/5): Great! - Great location Town is built vertically
- Natalie (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful, clean and comfortable stay in this apartment! The views of the town are out of this world. The location to the Riomaggiore train station is so convenient and Gabriel was a super helpful host! Thank you! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Riomaggiore
- Merel (5/5): Disappointing small room without terras. - Location. Be aware during the booking proces that there are 2 rooms available. One with balcony and terras, the other one just a room. During the time of booking it was unclear I wouldn’t stay in the room with the terras with view. This was very disappointing as I wouldn’t have stayed in this place. The room was very small as well.
- Miguel (10/5): Great place - Excellent place, the host helped us a lot
Great place to stay, excellent view from the terrace
- Chung (9/5): Breathtaking view the moment you wake up. - beautiful view from the room and the terrace was a nice hang out spot with lounge chairs and patio set especially during sunset. clean room. short walk to the train station and marina. AC works well. Staff was responsive and helpful via whatsapp. only a couple of small things like lack of rubbish bin in the room was odd and shower didn't drain very well.
- Harry (10/5): The best views - Amazing views, sitting on the balcony is amazing, highlight of the stay and an experience you can’t get just walking round the town. Private 2 level apartment to yourself in the heart of the town in a nice authentic coloured building. Easy to get the train to all the other towns around
- Evan (7/5): Good -
- Glynis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sebastian (9/5): Superb -
- India (10/5): Fantastic location, clean and great value for money!! - The property was in a fantastic location, it was very clean, Manuela was an amazing host, providing clear instructions of how to get there and was quick to respond on WhatsApp to any enquiries. The room was a good size and the aircon was a lifesaver !
- Gwen (9/5): Superb -
- Stephanie (7/5): Good -
- Claudia (6/5): Okay place to stay but don't have anything to compare it to. The town was nice. - The balcony was wonderful. The bank that was referenced was not the correct name which caused a ton of unnecessary walking with a lot of luggage. Coffee situation was not well supplied. We had to look around for more coffee. No trash can to speak of.
- Sally (10/5): The highlight of my Italian trip!!! - What an incredible place! Riomaggiore is stunning, the view from the room is beautiful and the terrace was absolutely spectacular. A/C was excellent. The location is fantastic, so close to town but tucked away just enough that it was quiet at night. Communication with the host was excellent and instructions provided on how to find the place from the train station was really helpful. I absolutely want to come back just to stay here again! Loved it all!
- Elena (7/5): Great location - Good location, close to center and the beach Bed was not the most comfortable and found some stuff from previous guests in the bathroom. I was expecting balcony since it’s the main picture of the property but didn’t get one. It’s probably in one room only.
- Steven (10/5): Felt we got a true Cinque Terre experience staying at this property. Location was perfect and host was very responsive - Amazing location with a terrace overlooking the water
- Isis (10/5): It was great! - The place was in a great location - very conviniente. It was close to the restaurants and the marina. It was also near the train station (around 10 min walk even less). The room had a coffee maker, mini fridge and they also provided tourism activity pamphlets in case you want to book something. I would definitely come back!
- Roseanne (10/5): Amazing place to stay, would definitely recommend to friends and family - Great location in the heart of Riomaggiore but you still get privacy and quiet! The terrace has a great view of the village and added a nice touch to our experience. Very clear instructions to find it!
