• Stevan (10/5): Staying in a clean and tidy private house, where I met Mrs. Sharon once during my three-week stay. - Although the location of the accommodation is 20+ km from Manhattan, the proximity to the public bus station and the PATH train station allows for good connectivity in a reasonable time. The cleanliness and tidiness of the house is at a high level and slippers are provided in the house. The bathroom is shared by three rooms but was only occupied once when I wanted to enter. The shared kitchen is clean and tidy and contains all appliances as well as dishes. I will look to be a guest of the kind Mrs. Sharon again next year. For the price of accommodation on a quiet street and what is offered in that neat house, I don't expect anything more.

• Linney (10/5): Best Coed Place to Stay in North Jersey - This is a perfect place to stay if you are staying for a while in North Jersey. Great neighborhood, easy access to markets and transportation. The amenities are the best I’ve ever had when staying in someone’s home. Whenever I come to North Jersey I will check to see if this location is available. I’ve stayed at many places in North Jersey and am quite particular about stays. Nonetheless, this was the greatest place I’ve ever stayed in. The only sad part is everyone else is competing to stay here so I’m limited on my stays, lol. Definitely will be returning if welcomed to again.

• Tatyana (9/5): Overall, it's a great option for travelers on a budget. - This is a private house on a quiet street. You can tell it used to be a warm and cozy family home and it still keeps that lovely old-fashioned sense of hominess. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you might need—plates and cups, utensils, pots and pans, a fridge, a microwave, an oven, and a coffee maker. There is also a washer and dryer. The house is very clean, and the supermarket is just around the corner, which is very convenient. There are also many bus stops within a 5-minute walk, making it easy to get around. The host is very helpful and attentive and always responds quickly . I liked everything. Great value for the price.

• charlotte (4/5): Disappointed - The room has a problem with the window so 0 degree we could feel the wind in the room so it was freezing the last night but the nights before the ac was so hot it was insane some stuff were broken so I could hear some weird sounds everywhere in the house cracks I guess because of the wind in the house the room was not really clean including the bathroom with the shower not working super good

• Stuart (8/5): Ideal accommodation for people on low budget who don't mind a being little distance from Manhattan. - The accommodation was very good value for money, as the facilities were ideal for what I needed, being clean, albeit a bit dated. My bedroom had a separate lock to the shared kitchen, lounge and bathroom. The accommodation was located in Newark, so a 20 - 30 minute train/subway trip from Manhattan. There was a good bus service for the 2.5 mile journey to Newark Penn Station. Close location to Newark Liberty Airport

The place can house 4-5 people but there was only one restroom that was also on top floor and looked small due to vertically opposite roof. Imagine if the restroom was out of service! Also, there was no shoe rack. If the owner wants to put shoes outside of room, she needs to have a proper shoe rack for people. Definitely not a place for a couple or women!

Ce que je n'ai pas apprécié n'a aucun rapport avec l'hébergement puisque c'était mon choix, mais je dirai que c'est l'éloignement de New-York ; mais j'ai rencontré des gens sympa qui m'on chaque fois aidée pour le trajet (Chauffeur de bus, passagers, etc.)

• Kamelija (9/5): Comfortable, clean, lovely stay - It was really comfortable and clean, I had a lovely stay. The connection of public transport was satisfactory. It was my mistake to choose that location while having to travel each day to New York so I had both extra fees and a 1.5 hour ride each direction to Penn Station NYC. That is, however, my mistake and choice, but it might be useful advice if someone is staying with the same plan.

Nearby bus stop to Penn station The room "E" i was in had curtail rods that were not staying place. A slight touch would bring them down. I found dull worn out blue and grayish towels..not pleasing to my sight. The air conditioning was not working, just blowing air. The socket in the room wasn't working so I was charging my devices in the kitchen.

• Shagniqua (6/5): Why the blue booties? - Location to travel to work & quietness of it all. I drove and they were accommodating on letting me park in the driveway to avoid getting a ticket. I think the blue booties were quite ridiculous. I’m very anal on being clean & tidy but I didn’t see the purpose of them to be honest. The climb up the steps were treacherous as well. The people that were there when I was there never cleaned the tub as posted in the bathroom. Just an annoyance.

Its location is close to various transport lines. - The house has various facilities to live, starting from the disinfection liquid to the fridge, washing machine, plates, various types of cups, the gas stove to cook various foods at the kitchen. The house is VERY CLEAN, all visitors have to use plastic Blue Disposable Shoe Cover OR House Slippers to keep clean all areas. The house staff are friendly and helpful. Big thanks! The socket of my room was old and I could not charge my mobile phone in the room (F). It is needed to repair this socket.
• Andrii (9/5): Superb - I stayed in August-September 2024. Good price, clean, calm, quiet. Very friendly hostess. Everything is there, even laundry for free. The only bad thing is that there was no electric kettle. There was a coffee machine there, but it didn't work. I heated water in a saucepan on the stove for coffee.There was also an oven which was very good. I booked for 8 days in different rooms. The first single room was not very comfortable and small, but I really liked the second double room on top. So if I visit New York again, I will choose this accommodation option. The only thing is that the city East Orange is not the most pleasant, but the accommodation facility is a very good choice. 15 minutes by bus to New Ark Penn Station and then 2 train stops from there to Manhattan, NYC. I didn't like the first small room, the upstairs was cool. And for some reason the mattress in the first room was sealed in it and constantly rustled.

The property was cozy and clean. My room was very nice and came with the private bathroom. I slept very well in my room. It had an A/C unit and I loved that the TV came with lots of channels. There wasn’t a lot of noise or many people running around. I enjoyed the peace. Overall, it was a beautiful stay! I didn’t like the area but no one bothered anyone. My other dislike was that the drawers in the room needed to be cleaned out and the window blinds could use some cleaning. Also, the tone of voice the owner has when speaking could use a little adjustment. She could be gentler when speaking to people. Overall, she did her job and provided a safe and peaceful stay.

• Haider (10/5): Exceptional - The host, Sharon, was really accommodating to meet demands of my family even though they were not mentioned before when I made the booking and she made sure that the stay was perfect for a family (even at 12 midnight). About the location: You need an Uber, which costs around 12 dollars(if u r with a family) or a bus to catch train to nyc from Penn Station of Newark for daily commute. Walk at odd hours to commute not recommended. Cost: Worth it if you r on a budget for a short trip.

• J. (9/5): A comfortable, cozy and convenient place to stay - It’s a great place to stay, conveniently located near many bus stops and close to Newark Penn Station. The house is always kept clean and comfortable. During my stay, there was no loud noise at night, and the price was very reasonable. I liked it very much! The stairs were just a little bit tilted, and while they installed a more secure lock on the front door (which is great), when I left the place (one day after the lock was replaced), there still wasn’t a handle to pull it closed. These are minor details that didn’t affect my stay at all.
