Margarida (5/5): Central location but noisy and a bit outdated. - The layout of the apartment is nice, with the extra bedroom on the open mezzanine. The bathroom is nice and up to date. The decor seems homely and sparse but welcoming. You are on the very top floor with a pretty, small terrace with spectacular views of the tuscan hills and duomo. Great location. The location of the flat is great - very central. However, the street it's on is the back of the supermarket, and every morning between 5-7am, there are trucks unloading for the supermarket. My stay was in peak heat, and since there is only a weak air conditioning on the mezzanine floor and fans in the other rooms, the only way to sleep is with the fans on blast with windows open, which means waking up early every day. The kitchen is out dated and the 'welcome manual' is not very helpful - no actual direction on how to use the old washing machine, only that it can break with too much, or too little, washing. The kitchen pots and appliances all show a lot of use and aren't great, the refrigerator shows signs of yellowing.
