• Alex (9/5): We had a lovely stay and would definitely come back, we had a couple of issues with heating and water but got resolved w - The location was perfect for we needed and the Nespresso coffee machine was great. We loved the garden as well There was a bit of a smell in the bathrooms.
• Sarah (8/5): We stayed for 10 days in Mathilde and loved being able to visit everything Florence has to offer. - Mathilde is in Spirito Santo we think the best place to stay in Florence. It has all the charm and interest without the business of over the Arno River. It’s an easy walk down the road and cross over at the Ponte Vecchio. Otherwise catch the no:11 bus from the corner. The beautiful garden is a bonus backing on to the Boboli. This is an old charming building with a few quirks. The front door has a tight lock which I found difficult, my husband managed but it was not easy. The management team were quick to respond when we had a problem with the hot water.

• Piers (9/5): a very enjoyable stay, well placed for trips to the town center, with a nice garden. - The property was very close to Boboli Gardens rear gate (much less busy than the Pitti Gate) and very convenient for the Porta Romana bus stop and the Carrefour mini market. The garden was a real bonus. The house was narrow, but cool and comfortable, with a well-appointed kitchen.
• Thomas (7/5): Enjoyable. - The location of the property was fine - a walkable distance to the river and the main attractions on the northern side of the river. A quite location very well located for the Buboli Gardens and the Natural History Museum. The provision of salt and pepper and a tea towel for the kitchen would have been appreciated. It rained heavily while we were staying there and this seemed to coincide with the larger of the bedrooms smelling of sewage. I do not know if anything may be done about this.
• Denise (6/5): Great location but bad smell - It’s very cute and in a great location. It has been maintained well and is very clean. The smell! This is a serious drawback. You must open the windows daily to air out the apartment. Only one window has a screen on it so we let mosquitoes in.

• Morningstar (8/5): Sweet House / Great Location - Location, location , location! The neighborhood is fantastic…. outside the city center, quiet and friendly with lovely shops, butcher, coffee, gelato, wine, grocery store and restaurants ! Very walkable and only a 10-15 minute walk to Florence’s city center / attractions ……or take the 11 bus you can catch right up the block. The beds were pretty good and the kitchen was new and was fairly well equipped for light cooling . We loved sitting outback on the patio at night. it’s a great little house! The bedrooms were a bit dusty in places but overall the house was pretty clean. the back yard needed to be mowed - the grass was super overgrown and buggy so we didn’t use at all. There was a a washer but no dryer. not unusual in Italy; however the back didn’t get a ton of sun so our clothes took days to dry.
