Guest Reviews
- Emma (7/5): - Good location for where we were staying. There is fungus growing around the toilet.
- Graham (6/5): - It was a cheap place to stay and well located It could do with some minor maintenance in places. Bedroom curtains etc
- Karis (9/5): - Great location, short walk to train station. Great views of the Mersey. Clean house. Would stay again.
- Zoe (8/5): Great location and communication with the host - Great location and communication with the host. The key was easy to access. Great property overall, with a large sitting room, table and chairs for dining and a fully equipped kitchen. We didn't use the oven as we were out most of the day over in Liverpool, but from what we used, all was good. Bonus of having a washing machine and tumble dryer, also, even though we didn't use either. Two large bedrooms with double beds upstairs, a large bath, and an easy-to-use shower. There were a couple of little niggles that the host is aware of and hopefully will resolve in due course. We would book again. N/A
- Jeanette (8/5): Pleasant stay - Great spacious house Was cold on arrival, no heating on, waited for over half an hour in car outside as had not been send key code and no one was answering the phone.
Very noisy from pub across the road and no WiFi .
- Linda (8/5): Enjoyed our one night stay in a convenient location - Easy access to ferries over to Liverpool and sea front. A little bit noisy at night with pub opposite. Could do with a few pictures on the walls to make it feel a little bit more homely.
- Sophie (5/5): overpriced - Nice to have the house to ourselves and handy location for the metro. Smart TV was a bonus We only stayed at the property for approx 12 hours, but were disappointed. Despite providing an arrival time, the heating wasn't on and the house was very cold, so we had to figure out how to get the heating on. The rooms were incredibly bare and the sheet on one of the beds was dirty. We were disturbed by loud live music from the pub opposite until after 11pm and there's only metered parking outside the property. Make sure you lock the front door with the key once inside - we only discovered this by chance.
- Lauren (10/5): - Lovely spacious house easy location, clean and tidy
- duncan (6/5): Good location, zero personality, rough around the edges. - Good location Lots of little broken things
- Dylan (10/5): -
- Dylan (10/5): -
- Allan (1/5): - Nothing Arrived on Sunday to a flat which was not cleaned beds slept in and dirty tops and sink
- Matthew Oldfield (10/5): - Really nice place and great location lovely view of Liverpool Had a couple of things only 2 towels when there was 4 of us and there is nothing on here mentioning there is a camera in the kitchen felt like we was being watched when we went in there but apart from that it was a lovely place to stay
- Diana (10/5): -
- Sophie (10/5): -
- Twigg (8/5): 2 bed house - Very clean & well equipped, comfy beds & a lovely hot shower A lack of information for guests regarding how the heating worked & how the TV worked etc.
- Peter C. (8/5): Clean, bright, comfortable -
- Bentley (1/5): AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Nothing AVOID! Upon arrival we found faeces in the front garden and also an old sofa in the back garden. The house itself was standard, however the cleanliness was shocking. There were opened packs of food in several cupboards, rusty cutlery, opened food in the fridge and freezer. The upstairs was no better. The bedding clearly hadn't been changed. We had to go and buy new bedding as the bedding was fetted, like it had been slept in and not changed for a week. Absolutely disgusting š«£
There were towels left but didnt want to use them as they looked like they had been used also. The bathroom sink unit had old toiletries and toothbrushes and had a revolting stench. I'm appalled that they would even consider renting out as a holiday home. If it wasn't our daughters wedding we would have gone straight home. We desperately tried to find other accommodation it was so bad.

- Sue (6/5): Could be a lot better - Great location, clean, neighbourhood very quiet. Amazing views . Something a like different, monks ferry with amazing views and the priory with a little education centre are really close and lovely to visit. Gallaghers at the bottom of the rad is a gem of a pub as is Hamiltonās square and the park. The views from the front bedroom are amazing It feels unloved. So many things on previous reviews are still broken. Bedding is cheap, bed sheets etc donāt match or fit the beds, oven broken ( had to ask as had seen a previous review) still broken. Towel rail and toilet holder in the bathroom broken , toilet door lock still broken. Curtains donāt fit. In the front bedroom it looks like a bucket of paint has been thrown at the wall. Broken furniture in the bedrooms and lounge. Broken cutlery. Back yard could be lovely but is a mix of fag buts and bad fake grass. Itās a lovely house just not loved its owners.
- Geoge (8/5): Nice property but needs to look after the facilities in the house like replace things that are broken straight away for - Clean and tidy Oven did not work and when contacted owner he said it had been like that for over a week so had to eat it every night while there
- Eric (7/5): Good -
- Ashling (1/5): Bad -
- Louise (8/5): Lovely house, clean, tidy, comfy beds. Will book again for sure - Clean, tidy and had lots of essentials like tea, coffee etc Nothing everything was spot on but maybe a recommendation would be add a full long mirror in the bedrooms.
- Sean (8/5): Very good - The location is great not far from the town centre, extra things left in the cupboard if you had forgotten anything. The broken lock on the bathroom door, not very good for privacy when sharing with other people, we had to tell each other when going in .
- Phil (8/5): Very good -
- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the house's excellent position close to everything railway links etc. quiet area we only stayed one night but wished it could have been longer. The house was very clean and tea bags milk and bread were a really nice touch. There's an excellent bar right opposite really friendly staff and customers would recommend. Thanks again we will be back maybe next year. Nothing everything was fine for one night.
- Pamela (3/5): Awful - The property had not been cleaned when we arrived we had to clean it ourselves and make the beds ourselves
- Brown (9/5): Good clean place with easy access into Liverpool - It's a nice basic house. Very clean and had everything we needed for a one night stay. Easy access to Hamilton Sq Station. The bedding was cheap and the toilet seat is still not fixed, but it didn't really matter.
- Christine (10/5): Certainly would stay again. - Beautiful and clean layout. There were tea, coffee sugar and biscuits we could use. Cereals too. Nothing.
- Jayne (9/5): Would stay again and definitely recommend it - Spotlessly clean, had everything you need plus more. Parking was a bit of an issue - wouldnāt be if other people could park correctly
- Simon (7/5): I would suggest a guide to be printed beforehand so that guests know how to operate the heating. - Very clean and tidy, plenty of kitchen facilities inc tea, coffee, milk etc. Plenty of space as well & comfy beds. Metered car parking which wasn't highlighted before arrival, internet and tv both not working (though I understand are fixed now) & no heating.
- Mark (7/5): The toilet seat needs repairing. - The house and situation. We were given the wrong code to the key box!
- Derek (1/5): Bad - Nothing No TV, no proper wardrobes, leak in kitchen, back yard was covered in cig butts.
- Caroline (8/5): Perfect for our overnight stay looking at university for my daughter. Really clear instructions. House was spotless! - Had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean
- Alistair (6/5): Good accept for already mentioned problems. - Lots of room. Great location. Water flooding from under sink when washing dishes. One bed mattress needs replacing, very uncomfortable, kitchen had no utensils for cooking.
- Emily (10/5): PERFECT - THE PROPERTY FELT SO HOMELY. LOCATION WAS GREAT. IT WAS SO QUIET AND PEACEFUL AT NIGHT. THE FACT THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE TOILET, AND UPSTAIRS
- Andy (5/5): This may be cheap for a group, cleanliness was poor - I didn't receive any instructions and had to call the host The cleanliness was poor, the cutlery and crockery were absolutely filthy, I had to wash everything before using. There was leftover food in the fridge from a previous occupier.
The toilet seat was broken.
- Katie (6/5): Pleasant - Great location. Really easy to get to the centre of Liverpool, by train or bus. Good value for money. The fridge was full of half consumed food from previous guests.
- Peckie (9/5): Lovely clean terraced house in Birkenhead. - Lovely clean home, with WiFi, usual TV channels, great kitchen, fab bathroom with super bath and electric shower, easy access to the tunnel to Liverpool, near our family and Chester. The king size beds were really comfy! We will book again š¤ One of the settees may need new springs underneath as it was sinking lol but we sat on the one near the door which was a bit better. The bottom sheets on our beds may have needed to be a bit deeper pocketed as they kept coming off. If you like to cook, bring your own chopping knives, as we couldn't find any. Everything else was perfect! āŗļø
- Roger (7/5): Ideal place for us as is only 2 miles from family - tv not working. toilet seat needs tightening
- Jemma (9/5): Superb - Lovely little accommodation that suited us for the taylor swift concert.
Hosts were great and stayed at the accommodation to let us in and also collected our maccies for us! Nothing š
- Colin (9/5): Superb -
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional -
- Malviya (8/5): Very good - Rooms comfort. Small Utensils not that much good. Hall sofa was kind of broken. I mean the base of that was kind a hole inside it. Some noise coming till late night from a pub in front of house.
- Mark (7/5): Good - It was a house not just a hotel room, so complete privacy. Had everything we needed The sofa is damaged I kept falling inside the base
- Paula (9/5): Excellent place to say -
- Mat (8/5): Warm, comfortable and clean. - Was a great location as I was playing a gig across the road. Had everything you could need, unfortunately there was no milk and no shop local I could get to in my limited amount of time.
Maybe a carton of long life milk could be provided. Really a very minor thing as the property was immaculate and comfortable.
Would definitely stay again.
- Cormac (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jeanette (8/5): Very good - Clean
Good sized rooms
Good wifi and Netflix
Owner was contactable and quick to reply to any questions It was basic and nothing bad to report
We knew what to expect
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Location is perfect..5 minutes walk to Hamilton Square train station into the City..but the property is immaculate.. basically it's a 2 bedroom home with everything you need..can't recommend this place high enough and I will definitely be back N/a
- David (7/5): Good -
- Saswati (8/5): Very good - It was really good stay. The house was clean, beds are comfortable and kitchen has all basic things.
- Gayle (9/5): Perfect , everything we needed - Spacious house , lovely added touches of tea , coffee , milk , cereal, washing up liquid , tea towels . Oven worked a treat !!! Netflix etc on tv . WiFi !!
Just everything making it home from home !!!
Really pleased !! If Iām being really fussy the only tiny detail that annoyed me slightly was the pillows.
- Connor (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sanjeevgouda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carmen (8/5): Great value - Clean, modern and spacious. Could have benefited from a full length mirror and some artwork on the walls to make it more homely. The shower didnāt work properly as it kept going hot and cold and the bed in the back room needs a new mattress or bed as it sinks one side!
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jonathan (10/5): Enjoyed our stay, will book again when we come to Birkenhead again, many thanks - For us it was a great location, property was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Would have been good to have some simple instructions how to operate the heating

- Sam (10/5): Beautiful property to stay with a family - The property was close to Hamilton Street trainstation. Very easy walk to the property. When we arrived the outside was clean the inside was beautiful. We had everything we needed, for a family of 3 clean and spacious.
- Preawphan (8/5): Very good - Spacious and clean apartment. Heater did not working while staying there.
- Najma (10/5): Exceptional - Location and the house. Really nice and easy to find. Parking on the street.
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (7/5): Good - The house was very comfortable, exceptionally clean, and well resourced. Very good access to public transit and local sites. Communication around check in wasn't great. We were in touch the day before we arrived to arrange a 3pm check in. This was approved but no information about pin codes for the lockbox were provided. When we arrived, no one was reachable via the available channels of communication so we were left standing in pouring rain for about 40 minutes.
- Atul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynn (10/5): Exceptional - Location and clean house and great communication with owner Nothing

- Caroline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sean (7/5): A very comfortable place to stay and great value for money - Very good value for money. Curtains need to be sorted out to stop street lights impeding sleep
- Aurel (10/5): Exceptional - best house ever !!!have the best condition and I think is very small the price for a house like thisš
- Chiu (9/5): overall is great - provided coffee and milk no hair dryer
- Anya (3/5): like living in someone elseās house - comfortable with a good location it wasnāt clean. there was out of date food in the fridge, someoneās shoes by the front door. a fallen down for sale sign outside.
- Paula (10/5): Exceptional - The whole house to ourselves. It's a beautiful Georgian house and very clean and tidy. Not far from the train station No milk for a cup of tea lol
- Phillips (10/5): very comfortable and spacious stay - It was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. From Liverpool, we could only come by train/ferry (though thatās more my fault for bad planning). also couldnāt get the oven to work.
- Uhlmann (10/5): amazing experience in Birkenhead, will recommend it for sure - well place, comfy and clean !
- Balaji (9/5): Superb -
- Kabir (10/5): Exceptional - It's a very good hotel. In fact, it's a house and you get a home feeling away from home. Kitchen is excellent with dining table. Big size bedrooms with comfy beds.. Smart TV in the living room with nice sofa. We enjoyed our stay. Value for money.
