Guest Reviews
- Hilary (9/5): Lovely comfortable house, not far from the town centre. It was ideal for our family of five. - Clean, comfortable and spacious . Lots of food provided to welcome us . It was slightly difficult to regulate the heating as it could only be on for an hour at a time, so when we went back in the evening after eating out in the town, the house was chilly. But it didn’t take long to heat up.
- Lily-anna (10/5): Lovely, clean and well situated - Really lovely properly. It was clean and centrally located. The welcome basket was really sweet and we had an amazing stay!
- Raymond (1/5): -
- Nichola (8/5): - The owner couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating.
The house was fantastic, there was lots of space for us, and the location was perfect for a weekend in Newcastle. Also, it is very reasonably priced!
- Denise (8/5): - Loved the house The hearing took a long time to heat the house
- Caolan (10/5): -
- Stacey (9/5): A really cosy, spacious and well-equipped house! Will definitely return! - The welcome basket is a lovely extra! Beds are very comfortable and the owner has thought of everything guests might need! Some condiments, milk, butter, teabags, coffee were all provided! A full fire lighting kit was a lovely bonus too! Thank you! No bathroom upstairs meant travelling down & floors, doors are all quite creaky so as a light sleeper I heard every movement. Kitchen cupboard doors and ornaments etc could be doing with a clean, dust down.

- Zoe (8/5): Really great I would definitely stay again - Great location, plenty of space and many bedrooms, host was great and left us basket of stuff which was very nice of them. Beds were super comfy Bedrooms didn’t have curtains so the sunlight was shining through very early in the morning
- Eoin (7/5): Good spot & facilities - Location Not all bedrooms have blinds or curtains re morning sun
- Jodie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gemma (10/5): Fantastic stay close to the mournes, perfect for hikers - Great house with 4 big bedrooms. We loved the property and appreciated the finishing touches like coal to light the fire and the welcome pack for breakfast.
- Seamus (8/5): Very good - Lovely house but there was no blinds in 2 of the bedrooms. A lovely welcome basket and the messages were responded 2 very fast. Thank u
- Joan (9/5): Superb - Cozy and close to all restaurants and shops and the beach.
View kitchen of the Mountains of Mourrne .
Lovely size kitchen to eat in and a welcome pack with lovely contents...
Enjoyed spending time with family ♥️
There was coal and blocks and an open fire which we all loved. Nothing it was great
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Valente (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place we will be staying again
- Joanne (8/5): Comfortable house in great location, perfect for a large family and I love that it is pet friendly. - Location is brilliant. Newcastle has so much to offer (hiking, beach, lots of pet friendly pubs, lovely restaurants, golf course, spa options etc.) being so central to everything meant we just parked the car and walked everywhere.
Working fire is delightful.
Views in all directions are incredible.
House is very comfortable and bigger than I expected.
Shower was hot and worked well.
WiFi/tv worked well.
Enclosed front garden great for our dog.
Lovely back garden.
Private driveway with comfortable space for two cars.
Hosts are very easy to contact and very helpful. Thoughtful touches to our stay- able to arrive a little earlier, Christmas tree was up and a festive bottle of prosecco and biscuits left for us, fridge was stocked with milk, water etc. It’s an older house so hard to heat. We had full access to the heating and a hot water bottle was supplied to help with this.
A couple of very minor improvements would enhance the stay (e.g. additional dining chairs) but nothing affected the quality of our stay.
