Guest Reviews
- Paul (10/5): Serene home, clean and spacious - Beautiful home that was perfectly situated for our day trips to Dufftown, Gordon Castle, and Cullen Bay. It was extremely spacious (especially since it was just my wife and myself) and had all the amenities to make it our stay a peaceful one.
- Walsh (10/5): A short notice booking 5 minutes from friends. Worked perfectly for us. Thanks -
- Stephen (10/5): Brilliant stay, great location - very peaceful. Modern house, great spacious grounds. - Excellent property. Lovely location, beautifully clean, spacious garden - faultless. Nothing.
- Stewart (10/5): Superb property in a quiet location - Excellent property, very well maintained everything you need for a relaxing break. Gated driveway meant we could let the dog out without worry. Plenty of quiet walking in the vicinity and only a few miles from Fochabers where there is a Co-op, pub and choice of takeaways.
- Laura (10/5): Spey Bay Sanctuary - The whole property
- Yvonne (10/5): - Loved the peaceful location and exceptionally clean and comfortable property. Was just perfect for my Mum and I to visit relatives in Speyside.
- Stephen (10/5): - Second visit to Beldorny. Lovely house, very well equipped and to a high specification. Big secure garden for dog to stretch legs and bonus electric car charge point for those of us with PHEV,s. Nice, quiet location. All in all highly recommended and very reasonably priced for the accommodation. Thank you David for another lovely stay. Nothing !!

- Wendy (10/5): Lovely accommodation - The house is lovely and very comfortable. It's in a lovely quiet location too. Nothing.
- Jacqueline (10/5): - Exceptional property, spotless and comfortable, this was our third stay and will definitely be back.
- K (4/5): A beautiful home in a great quiet location but room for improvement with ventilation and mattresses. - The location was good and it was very peaceful. The bungalow is beautifully presented and spacious. It was very thoughtful to provide a welcome pack. The kitchen is well equipped with a large dining table with very heavy chairs.
Being Scottish, we are well accustomed to our weather but we all felt the home was pretty warm and very airless when any of the outer doors were closed. There are lovely big windows but unfortunately they only tilt and don’t fully open much due to the fitted blinds. There was a fan in the cupboard that we did place in one of the bedrooms. In the winter or cooler weather it may be more comfortable.
The main thing that lets the accommodation down is the quality of the beds and pillows. Unfortunately we all felt that the mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. We like firm mattresses but these are solid and unforgiving. After just two nights we all came away with very sore backs, necks and shoulders. The bed, in the room closest to the shower room, moves when your partner tries to turn over and unfortunately wakens you. Together with the lack of ventilation it meant we all left absolutely exhausted from lack of sleep. We spent our time meeting each other in the kitchen during the night,
Location was great for us and it was so peaceful.
- Anne (10/5): Brilliant will definitely book again - Very clean and quiet lovely area
- Sandra (10/5): -
- jonathan (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Veronica (10/5): Winter break - Our second visit. Amazing house, will definitely be returning again. Nothing.
- Bruce (10/5): - Loved the fact that everything was thought of, down to the milk, tea, dishwasher tablets, and washing machine pods and not forgetting the dog blanket and treats. Perfect! There was nothing to fault in the slightest
- Dominika (9/5): -
- Nicole (10/5): -

- George (10/5): Very comfortable, Great location for us. - It was great for us as our Daughter lives in Buckie which is only about 8 minutes away.
Happy days.
Thanks a lot for our stay. Nothing.

- John (10/5): - Spotless house, well complimented.
Faultless. N/A
- Fiona (10/5): - Electric charger and how clean and spacious it is
- Albl (10/5): - Alles perfekt - sehr sauberes, gepflegtes Haus mit einem schönen kleinen Garten.
- Dawn (10/5): Gorgeous property, absolutely delighted! - Absolutely beautiful house with gorgeous spacious grounds which are secure for dogs - this was a massive bonus for us! You can close the gates over once you park then it's totally secure for the dogs to be outside. Lovely quiet area too, very peaceful! No complaints at all. Maybe a little shower gel would have been handy in the bathroom but really that's all I could even think of!
- Diane (10/5): Lovely stay - Such a lovely, comfortable home, in lovely surroundings
- Holly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alasdair (10/5): Fantastic house will definitely come back - The house was fantastic, modern and spacious, very clean. The enclosed garden was great for our dog she spent all day in it just roaming about. We would recommend it to friends and we will revisit. We would happily go there every year for a break. Good value for the fantastic facilities.
- Joseph (10/5): Amazing stay - Beautiful house, so clean and comfortable. The best house I’ve stayed in. The attention to detail was amazing. Nothing
- Reade (10/5): Stunning property and would recommend to stay - Private home and was very comfortable. Perfect for a family, or small group with two bedrooms.
Plenty of parking and space for the kids to run around outside! Property included a laundry, washer, microwave, oven, toaster, fridge, and freezer. We appreciated being able to wash our clothes in the comfort of our accommodations. Everything here looks absolutely brand new!
- Robert (10/5): Excellent stay in Beldorny. The house was amazing. Lovely and clean just like being at home. - Location was exactly as we wanted it to be. Nice and quiet Nothing
- Glenn (10/5): Clean bright spacious and comfortable - Immaculate both inside and out
- Paul (8/5): Great accommodation in rural location - Lovely modern open plan house with spacious secure garden Slippery walk in shower
- Marcus (10/5): Family Break - the house was gorgeous but the garden was amazing nothing
- Lorna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joe (10/5): Absolutely wonderful stay in a tranquil location - Absolutely wonderful in every way & excellent value for money. Superb modern bungalow.
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (10/5): 10/10 isn't a high enough rating - The accomodation was of very high standard. Exceptionally clean. Very secluded. So peaceful The only thing we didn't like was having to leave this beautiful place
- Michelle (10/5): 5* Beldorny, would absolutely recommend! - Beldorny is a beautiful spacious, modern bungalow with everything you need and a huge private garden, in a quiet area!
Close to Spey Bay, walks, and just a. Short drive to Fochabers, Portgordon and Buckie. The mattress was a little hard for me.
- Lynn (10/5): Fabulous stay at Beldorny - The property was clean, quiet and spacious. Excellent for a couple nights get away from the city. The staples to get us set up ie. Bread, milk, coffee, sugar, jam were a lovely touch. I wouldnt say there was anything I didn't like about the property. I would maybe suggest that for the beds have the option of having hard pillows as well as soft. Just an observation though 😁
- Wendy (10/5): First Class - Beautiful house and the owner had bought in bread, milk, etc for us which was really kind and thoughtful. The house is so comfortable, warm and clean. We have booked again already. That our stay was too short!
- Moira (9/5): Lovely house, very clean, lots of space. Would thoroughly recommend it - Very clean
Spacious
Outside space (for better weather)
Comfortable beds No hooks to hang outdoor clothes so visitors had to put their jackets on our bed. Also a hook by the bedroom door to hang dressing gown would be useful
- Arunas (10/5): A spacious house in a good location - It was the best house in Scotland I've ever stayed at. Very clean and spacious. I was pleased to find milk, bread, jam and biscuits for us on arrival. The price was also good for all the facilities and the size. Unfortunately, the snow discouraged us from going to places around Elgin, however, the road to the property was good and it was easy to find it.
- Gerard (10/5): A sensational cottage - The house was beautifully prepared and welcoming, with a selection of essentials and treats awaiting us.
It was warm, well equipped, comfortable and in a simply perfect location.
The garden space was much appreciated by my daughter's golden retriever and we loved every second spent there.
David is a great host. Not at all intrusive but on hand if required and who has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into ensuring that this property is so well designed and prepared for guests. Absolutely not a complaint, just a small observation. I'm a bit of a coffee lover, so I took a small pod machine with me to give me my daily fix. A similar machine might be a nice whilst inexpensive addition to the kitchen that some guests would appreciate.
- Robert (10/5): Perfect for visiting family, would use this property again. - Everything. Modern well equipped home which was clean as a whistle. Plenty of private parking, large garden. Nothing
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional - The house was gorgeous, immaculate, beautifully presented. Very cosy despite v low temperatures, and the instructions to use everything were simple and easy to follow. The location is fabulous, so peaceful, a short walkable distance from stunning Spey Bay and handy for facilities at Fochabers. Great communication from the owners. Such an easy and enjoyable stay. Not a criticism of the property at all but a regret! I wish I'd thought to bring my bike as there's secure storage at the property, and lots of cycle routes both off and on road just on the doorstep!
- Jc (10/5): Excellent - Great location N/A
- Mick (9/5): Superb -
- Mihai (10/5): Amazing stay - Everything was above our expectations, our 10 year old son asked us if we could move in 🙂. Thank you for a wonderful stay and a great experience visiting the local area.
- Edward (10/5): Fantastic clean and well equipped house. We will be back to stay again. - The property is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean.
The extra welcome goods included not only milk and bread but also dishwasher tablets, cleaning products and cooking oil etc, which made a short stay so easy for us. I found the mattress a little hard unfortunately. A non slip mat for the shower would be appreciated.
- Keith (10/5): Absolutely fantastic property, 10 out of 10 without a doubt. - The location for our visit was exactly what we expected and wanted. The Speyside Way is easily accessible via a short path only a 1 minute stroll away from the property and this provides pleasant walks to Spey Bay or Fochabers (a particularly nice walk through woodland and along the river). The area is extremely quiet and peaceful and the property has a large secure garden which our dog loved to run around in. The property itself is fantastic - modern, spacious, good facilities (washing machine, dishwasher, etc), smart TV's in every room, comfortable furniture and beds, good shower in the bathroom (powerful and hot) and although we didn't need it, an electric car charging point. We requested a slightly earlier check in and David, the owner, was happy to oblige (I think he lived next door but as we didn't have any issues during our stay we didn't see him). Without doubt the best property we have stayed at and we will definitely be staying again if we are in the area. Absolutely nothing at all to dislike.
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hayden (10/5): Great stay and a fantastic host - Great property in a lovely location. It was immaculately clean with great facilities. We will definitely be returning. The mattress in the master bedroom was a bit hard and uncomfortable but understand that everyone is different.
- Ronald (9/5): We would love to return as it was a great property and good value. - The property was spotlessly clean and all the appliances were easy to use there was also an EV charger which was a great extra . The mattresses were not comfortable which made a good nights sleep not possible which is a pity as everything was 5 star.
- Helen (10/5): A wonderful stay -
- Catharine (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious, modern, well-appointed, lovely area
- Jacqueline (10/5): Had a great second stay, well looked after property, lovely gardens. - This was our second stay, absolutely stunning property, excellent standard, beautiful gardens. Will definitely be back.
- Nikki (10/5): Exceptional - Mostly everything. Thistles on the grass.
- Daniel (10/5): Perfect , we loved every minute of it !! - Everything !! Nothing , the house was pristine and so homely , however the only disappointment was no milk for the drinks on arrival but next time we’ll bring some with us.
- Radovan (10/5): Well go back again if we travel in the region again - Very spacious and tidy, dog friendly and even a blanket and biscuits for our dog. Huge kitchen too. The kitchenware may need a bit upgrade as the food stuck to the frying pan, but I’m fussy
- Monica (9/5): Accommodation was spotless and location was perfect. -
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing chilled so quiet there beautiful house we will be back
- Alistair (9/5): A lovely hosue to stay, would it have been longer. - Very Clean, location, spacious, well equipped with tv’s, cutlery, etc. outdoors had two seating areas, well kept garden, overall a joy. Only downside was the WiFi worked on arrival but next morning wasn’t working and weren’t able to get working again. This wasn’t a major issue as we were relaxing and not too concerned but others may be more frustrated
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Everything
- Elisa (10/5): Excellent stay in a very comfortable house - Our stay was excellent. The property is modern and very comfortable, with a lot of attention to details.
We enjoyed Spey bay, which is very close and our kids had a day out on a farm with a play area 5 minutes away from the house. Nothing major. One suggestion would be black out curtains for the bedrooms.
- Veronica (10/5): Short break at Beldorny - The house was lovely, very clean and modern in a peaceful area. Massive enclosed garden for our labrador. 4 tv's, washing machine and dishwasher. Would definitely recommend. Very good value for what we paid. Hope to return.
- Ian (10/5): (Beldorny) The place to go if you can get it booked. - The appearance of the property was first class,
The owner has put a lot of thought into the layout of the house and the garden layout.
It even has a charging point if you have got an electric point. (Zero)
- Jacqueline (10/5): Would definitely recommend this beautiful property - Absolutely stunning property, private gardens and driveway.
- Mark (10/5): Stunning home in stunning area - Stunning house inside and out. Area was beautiful, calm & tranquil. The inside was pristine, hard to believe it is used because there is not a speck of dirt anywhere.Lots of attention to detail by the host such as glass bottle of milk, cereal, biscuits, towels folded in a little design, accesories in each room when the bathroom just all fitted so well.House is really big inside and garden is massive.Tv in every room including dining/kitchen ròom which is great for kids.aAsked for slightly earlier check in & the host replied promptly and was really helpful in assisting us.Also bonus having an electric charging point at the property for charging car.The host also has a visitor book which I think was a great little touch to the property. Beautiful nature themed canvas in some rooms which again fitted in beautifully with the house.Woukd highly recommend this property to others.
- Alastair (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simon (10/5): I’ll be back !! - Beautiful bungalow, large garden away from the hustle bustle of town centres great retreat Nothing
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional - The house is exeptional inside and out. Location was very good, quiet and very close to Spey Bay. Added bonus of electric charge point for our Hybrid was a welcome touch. Wouldn't think twice about returning if we are in area again. Nothing negative at all.
- Kenneth (10/5): Perfect, great location for walking and exploring the wonderful area. - Everything!! Clean, bright and well appointed, ample parking Nothing it was perfect
- Danielle (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely, warm welcoming home. Everything was clean & comfortable. Nice, quiet neighbourhood. Will definitely be back.
- Mariusz (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect, localisation, comfort, style. Beautiful house in a quiet area ,close to many of attractions. Thank you
