• James (1/5): Misleading images, filthy and unmaintained property - don't be fooled the managers are liars! - Only 3 ceiling fans in a 4,000 sq ft property and no air con. The sunbeds are so old and rickety that one actually broke as soon as I sat on it. The outside bathroom was quite frankly disgusting and unusable, see images and the outside kitchen area doesn't look anything like the booking.com images which was a huge shame it is totally unusable. The bbq was provided with barely any coal and we managed to find two firefighters, all of which had just been sat out and had been wet at some point. The pool although it looked clean on our check in it was not, as soon as we got in you could see the silt and mud. Owners kept saying they would clean it and lied and said they had, when it remained dirty all of our stay. The master bathroom shower is disgusting you can see from the images the shower head doesn't look as though it's been cleaned in a very long time. There were bugs, cobwebs and general dirt in all corners of the bathroom and the fan which is actually in the shower. There is a damp issue in the bathroom and the walls are peeling, adding to the fact several areas just do not feel well maintained at all. There is a leak in the kitchen spotlight, on the evening it rained we woke up to a pool of water on the kitchen floor The white towels are all stained with multiple colours from beige to brown and were filthy. We tried several attempts to reason with the people managing the property and they didn't seem to think the issues were as serious despite us paying an incredibly premium price, we requested a very fair discount and they refused offering an insulting % discount despite agreeing in writing that our findings were correct - they advised they are too busy for maintenance which is not fair for hard working people like us who paid a fortune to stay in the property. Do not be fooled by the Booking.com images, very very misleading! P.s. I am afraid to say all of our images are a 100% reflection of our recent stay.

Das rose farbene Zimmer zum Vorgarten müsste einmal gut durchgelüftet werden. Es war aber kein Problem, nur ein Detail.

• Ingrid (6/5): Great location property - The house is in a great location, walking distance to center area of Franschhoek, but away from all the noise. The house doesn't have heating system in bedrooms. The house does have a fireplace in the living room which is very nice. But when the temperature is low, bedrooms and bathrooms are pretty cold. The wifi doesn't work on one side of the house which has tow bedrooms.

• Jennifer (10/5): Pretty, peaceful, perfect family-friendly home. - Absolutely wonderful for our family, with a vast lounge and dining area, a fireplace, big windows overlooking the large garden to the mountains beyond, three en suite bedrooms, and a very smart kitchen. We were there in rainy midwinter, but I can only imagine how this house opens out into the garden and to the pool in summertime. Julia was very kind and accommodating too, bringing extra firewood and an umbrella unasked, and keeping safe the stuff we forgot. I just wish the en suites had doors - only one does.

Fully automated and integrated backup power for load shedding. Kitchen well appointed. If you need a place with 2-3 bedrooms in town this is a great place to stay
