Guest Reviews
- Claudia (8/5): - Leider war die Unterkunft sehr kalt und es hat viele Stunden gedauert bis es warm wurde.
- Linda (10/5): -
- Elaine (9/5): - Very clean, lovely 2 bedroom apartment. Beautiful views.
- Geraldine (9/5): Fantastic clean and centralised property!! Would highly recommend this property. - Very clean, tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. An outside light over the entrance way would be recommended. It was dark when we arrived and it was difficult walking into the property.
Better signposting of where and how to park our car, it was not apparent and we parked on the Main Street for the first evening. Please see first picture attached as the way to show where and and how to park.
The hallway light was poor and no way to switch the light on from outside the property. It is an old stairwell and good lighting is required.

- Elizabeth (10/5): - Great location. It was really cold for two days and took until Wednesday night to heat up. Didn't know it was up stairs.
- Morley (7/5): Generally pleasant - Clean and pleasant Too chilly in the apartment and shower couldn’t regulate the temperature.
- Aki (9/5): -
- Scott (9/5): Great quiet location with a great view overlooking the river Tay. - Very clean and tidy and in a quiet but central location for seaside walks and local amenities. Had everything we required for our short stay. Think we will return in the future. N/A
- Sharon (10/5): Amazing find. - Very clean and fresh looking. Beds very comfortable. View was a bonus. Beautiful little flat. Would definitely stay again. There was nothing to dislike.
- Kaysha (10/5): - A beautiful place to stay, clean, well furnished and equipped.
- Louise (8/5): Great location - The flat was in a great location on a quiet street in Monifieth, close to the beach and bus stop into town. It suited us perfectly for a few nights while visiting family in Broughty Ferry. The parking space was too tight for our car (BMW 5 series touring) and the bedrooms desperately need curtains as the blinds don't keep out the light and I was woken at 5am every morning. We also found the beds to be on the small side and the boiler was very noisy.

- Cottingham (9/5): Superb - Great facilities everything you need fir a relaxing stay I think I was staying with family I wouldn't have been happy with the front door open 24 hrs and not lockable, I appreciate the apartment doors within the building are lockable but I think the front door being left open all n8ght poses a bit of a security risk ,also garden could do with a tidy up and somewhere to enjoy the settings ,apart from that everything was great regards Mr Cottingham
- Tracy (10/5): More than met my expectations - I would definitely recommend. - The apartment was lovely - very cosy and very well provisioned. There was a living room with kitchen that was attractively furnished and the whole place felt welcoming. Based in Monifieth, close to the beach and in a residential area with loads of shops and services close by, it was perfect for my needs.
I loved the fact that there was a small garden with seating - this was the main reason I booked the property as the weather was lovely.
- Lorna (8/5): Very good - Lovely apartment
- Tracy (8/5): We had a lovely, relaxing stay - It was clean, bright, very tastefully decorated and warm Nothing
- Kim (9/5): Great little place with a wonderful view - Great location a few minutes from the beach.
Clean, well appointed flat. Couldn't ask for more for a short break.
- James (9/5): Warm and comfortable -
- Cooper (10/5): Lovely place to stay - It was lovely nice clean place to stay N-a
- Lorraine (9/5): Good stay 😊 - Great location !! Moniefieth lovely wee place but lots more to do in Broughty Ferry which is walkable along the water front . There wasn’t anything to dislike
- Joan (10/5): Excellent choice for a short stay - thanks - Clean, functional, warm
- Dougie (8/5): Very good -
- Dougie (8/5): Very good -
- Margo (10/5): A welcoming retreat - The apartment was warm, clean, and comfortable.
The location was good for walking to the beach and town.
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harry (9/5): Perfect Couples Flat - Lovely clean apartment, perfect for a couple. Location is a 15 minute drive into Dundee and if you don't mind driving a bit further then it's easy to get to the Cairngorms. Nothing
- Gary (8/5): Riverview review - Location was great for what we needed and has tesco's and good restaurant's and takeaways within easy (5 - 10 minute) walking distance. Facilities were good as we "home cooked" a couple of nights and had everything we needed. The allocated parking space is small and as we have an estate car, we had to park on the street which we were not informed about until 24 hours prior to arrival, the stairs were a little uneven and worn which made hauling heavy luggage up and down precarious and the bed was comfortable but small.
- Terence (8/5): Very good - Everything you needed was in appt within walking distance of centre quiet area Stairs leading to appt need addressed very badly worn
- Vicki (9/5): Very pleasant. - The location. The layout and cleanliness and comfort. Fewer plastic plants!
- Brittano (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Gary (9/5): Superb -
- Heather (8/5): Compact apartment with ocean views in walking distance of Monifeith - Very clean, beds comfy and great location
Loved the view of the ocean from lounge room.
Facilities including washer / dryer Would have liked curtains at the bedroom windows in addition to the blinds because of streetlights outside of windows.
- Eileen (8/5): Very good -
- Black (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! The Grumpy old lady dwn the stairs. She was very rude and unwelcoming
- Siobhan (8/5): attractive and peaceful flat - this is a lovely peaceful flat, cosy and beautifully decorated in calm colours. The view from the living room is great- over well kept gardens, to the river and over to Fife. Comfortable bed, a good shower, wi-fi throughout and a nice kitchen. Handy for the beach and for the shops in Monifieth and a bus ride away from Dundee. And the bird song at dusk is a wonder! The only negative point for me was a relatively late check in (3pm) and early check out (10am). I wanted to do a couple of hours work before I had to go to the airport but that wasn’t possible. Other than that I’d highly recommend this flat.
- Vivmcc (8/5): Good but beware of walking on wooden floors!!! - Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Complaint from downstairs neighbour in flat below who said we were "too noisy" because we were walking on the wooden floors in the flat. She pointed out the owners have not put down suitable underfloor so it's noisy for her. It definitely put a damper on the weekend, not happy about that.
- Carole (7/5): Had a lovely stay in Monifieth, apartment was a great base for a short stay. - Great location, very handy for local shops.
Beach was close by, Tay view from living room was lovely.
Private parking was a bonus.
Bedrooms were neutral & nicely decorated.
Kitchen was nice & clean.
Lovely large shower which was very clean.
Loved the little Christmas decorations.
Area was very quiet. The apartment was cold even with heating on.
Having a radiator at door to living area next to a massive fridge doesn’t help and the radiator isn’t powerful enough for winter temp or the heat is probably escaping through big gaps in doors and windows due to lack of coverage. Appreciate that wall space is limited & probably not so bad in summer.
Windows need black out rollers or curtains.
Better draft excluders might help especially with front entrance having a large gap leading into a freezing stairwell.
Stairwell light outside apartment didn’t appear to work, had to use our phone torches or neighbouring flat’s light.
Blinds broken in bedrooms.
Toilet seat was badly scored and marked, should be replaced.
Toilet bowl had a chip out of it, just kept on thinking something was on it.
Toilet itself could have been cleaner.
Bathroom ceiling was very dirty.
Skirtings were very dusty ( I actually wiped them myself before my friends arrived as it’s a pet hate.)
Duvets were not heavy enough for winter.
Pillows were not great, decent bedding makes a world of difference.
Better cutlery required, it looks dirty & water marked even when washed & dried.
Christmas tree was a nice touch but it created an awkward seating arrangement for 4 adults…nobody wanted the seat next to the door and plant ☺️
Most properties I have stayed in within the area have had a wee welcome token regardless of month, with it being New Year we would have at least expected a wee bit of shortbread or just something to mark the occasion, it’s a nice touch and makes all the difference.
- Peralta (10/5): it was an amazing stay. family loved it. thank you so much for having us -
