The breakfast was plentiful and made with locally sourced ingredients. The room was very cosy and the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in! The location was excellent too - off the beat and track but with good links to other parts of Pembrokeshire for exploring and eating out in the evenings. The hot tub was a lovely added value bonus too!

- Daisy (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely B&B, delicious breakfast and comfortable rooms. Great to have a lounge which we could sit in for the evening. Alwyn and Awen were very welcoming and great hosts. We came for a two night stay to attend a wedding at Gellifawr Woodland Retreat. Wished we could have stayed longer to explore the area. Highly recommend staying at Rhostwarch, thank you to Alwyn and Awen for a lovely break. Nothing everything was excellent

- Elly (10/5): Exceptional - The shower was a walk in shower, which we like a lot.
We had an English breakfast on both mornings, and it was very nice.
Because it was raining on the second day, we were given suggestions what to do. We went to Pembroke castle. I cannot think of anything.
- Joseph (9/5): Excellent environment and excellent host - Very peaceful and the host is very hospitable and helpful without being intrusive. Excellent breakfast and many nice touches around. Nothing really but the TV could be bigger size.
- David (9/5): Superb - Great place to stay.
Lovely couple go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Nice woodland walk, out in the country.
Amazing just sitting watching the birds and other wildlife. Hot water was unpredictable
- Robyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Noel (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely setting in the country.
Peaceful and secluded Nothing
- Barbara (10/5): A perfect stay in an amazing place! - We loved absolutely everything about our stay here. The owners, Alwyn and Awen, were super kind and welcoming; nothing was too much trouble for them. The b&b is a stunning barn conversion, done to a very high standard. Our room (one of only four, so it’s all very intimate) was spotlessly clean, cosy and comfortable, with a gorgeous modern en-suite (the spacious walk-in shower was a great bonus). The guests can also use a shared lounge and a kitchen annexe, where the breakfast is served in the morning. Initially, we found the table setting a bit odd, as there’s only one small table for two, and another big one that sits the remaining 6 guests. As it turned out, we actually loved sharing the table with other guests, and had a good laugh with them each morning. If you want to secure the small table, you need to be quick as it’s first come, first served, but with the bed being so comfortable, we never actually even bothered trying. The breakfast was delicious, made using high quality local produce. But the cherry on the cake was the huge hot tub in the garden, to which guests have unlimited access. All you need to do is simply let Alwyn know what time you want it for, and then enjoy! If you’re looking for peace and quiet, look no further. The location is very remote, yet still close enough to local amenities (the nearest pub is a few minutes drive away), and despite what some other reviews say, very easy to find if you follow Alwyn’s clear instructions (or, in our case, Google Maps). There’s plenty to do and see in the area; fantastic walking routes, picturesque villages, seaside towns, dozens of small art galleries selling local artists’ works, etc. Good for stargazing too, weather permitting. Alwyn and Awen are superb hosts; what they created and offer to their guests is truly special, and you can tell how proud they are about it and how happy to welcome you there. We will be back for sure! Absolutely nothing to complain about
- Dhiraj (9/5): Superb -
- William (7/5): Good -
- Katarzyna (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Pembrokeshire - Amazing breakfast, spectacular surroundings, location, friendly owners Nothing, everything was perfect
- C (8/5): We enjoyed our stay and would come again. - Interesting setting with trail through woodland and farm. Excellent breakfasts. Lounge with local information. We knew it was quite a remote location but were surprised there is no shop in Crosswell and the nearest garage/shop shuts quite early.
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paige (9/5): Amazing place! - Lovely place, clean and tidy with great facilities including the hot tub. Breakfast was amazing and hosts really friendly! Far away from civilisation so wouldn't have been ideal if arriving by public transport
- Hugh (10/5): Peaceful, relaxing stay in gorgeous surroundings. - Its an absolutely beautiful barn conversion with very comfortable rooms. Olwyn and Alwyn were great hosts. The breakfast is superb and what you'd probably expect from a farm environment. The bacon is like a gammon steak! The location is gorgeous in beautiful countryside and easy driving distance to local towns and villages. It is down the end of a narrow lane but we didn't see this as a negative. You certainly wont hear any traffic noise! :) Nothing.......lovely!
- Hans (10/5): Relaxing stay in a great location - Breakfast was excellent, the quiet and peaceful location was very relaxing but at the same time, lots to do nearby The weather.... but it didn’t stop us enjoying our holiday
- Channelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (9/5): Fantastic - Beautifully refurbished & renovated farm buildings providing very comfortable & peaceful accommodation - facilities and space in kitchen & dining area adjacent to rooms, very friendly and approachable hosts from whom a couple of extra requests and information was met with utmost helpfulness. Thank you would definitely recommend! Delicious breakfasts
- Carol (10/5): Would recommend Rhostwarch guesthouse. - Friendly hosts, relaxed atmosphere. Excellent breakfast, set us up for the day. Superb conversion of farm buildings, all rooms en suite with hot, powerful showers. Access anytime to dining room (kettle, fridge, crockery etc) for hot drinks, to eat evening takeaways etc, plus comfy communal lounge with reclining chairs and tv. Very quiet, secluded location. Bed very comfy - though we are used to a larger bed, we slept well.
- Felix (10/5): A friendly welcome to a peaceful location with excellent facilities means that we're keen to return - The breakfasts were delicious and the host made sure that we had veggie options .
We loved the peace and quiet. When you opened the door the only thing you could hear was birdsong. It was a treat to be far away from traffic noise.
Guests also had use of a kitchen and dining area and also a comfortable sitting room, both with beautiful mountain views . There was seating and a table available outside too. These additional facilities made it so much easier and enjoyable to self cater in the evenings.
We thoroughly recommend We liked everything.
- Christine (10/5): Friendly, warm, welcoming. - The hosts were friendly & so accommodating. The breakfast was varied & delicious. Instructions to get there were clear. Very comfortable.
- Mary (10/5): Very comfortable and spacious with friendly, helpful hosts. - Lovely rural location in a beautiful barn conversion. It was great to have the sitting room and dining room (with kettle, fridge, sink, crockery) available at all times, so we brought back food to eat on some evenings. The breakfasts were plentiful and tasty. Our hosts were very friendly and a mine of information about the area.
- Julie (10/5): Fantastic stay will definately go again. - The location is stunning, and the room was nice and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom and good shower. Breakfast was very nice with great produce used.
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jean (10/5): Rhostwarch
Lovely place to stay - The ròms were well decorated and clean. The bathroom was a good size. Quick response to problems The pillows were thin, the TV didn't work although we didn't realise until the morning we left. Towels were a little on the small size in our opinion, and the taps in the sink spat hot water over us but that could be due to the location
- Sindy (10/5): Cosy room, beautiful views - We had a very warm welcome (even with some Welsh cakes). The communal areas were very cosy even with the big beautiful windows and view. Breakfast was delicious with fresh eggs. The hosts were fantastic. The hot tub was also great! Nothing!
- Declan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (9/5): More than satisfactory. - Alwyn met us at the door with a plate of tasty Welsh cakes, he showed us our room then he showed us where the kitchen, lounge and hot tub were situated. He told us that if we needed anything just to give him a knock on his door or to ring him if no answer at the door. The room was cosy and comfortable with all that we needed for a 2 day stay. Bedding was very clean as were the towels. There were 2 bottles of water in the bathroom, along with a soap and 2 mini bottles of shower gel. Very nice bright room with plenty of light. Breakfast choices were cooked breakfast, 3 types of cereal, yoghurt, toast (brown or white) 3 different juices, herbal or normal tea, 2 different coffees (decaf or normal). There was also a vegan breakfast for anyone wanting this. There was a new short woodland walk past their chicken coop in the garden, and the b&b itself was set off the road so was nice and quiet. Overall a lovely stay. There was nothing that we didn't like about this b&b, everything was great and would recommend to family or friends.
- Karen (10/5): Lovely - The breakfast was lovely The weather 😀
- Georgios (10/5): One of the best place we've ever been - This was one of the best stays we ever had. Exceptionally clean, delicious breakfast,
great location and very kind hospitality by the hosts. We will be definitely coming back

- Deirdre (9/5): Superb -
- Charlie (10/5): Exceptional - First time visit to Pembrokeshire and its absolutely beautiful 😍 Very tight narrow roads
- Hugh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (9/5): Very enjoyable short stay in great accommodation surrounded by beautiful countryside. - Excellent choice of food for breakfast including freshly cooked to order Welsh breakfast with fresh eggs from their own hens. Coffee and tea etc available any time.
Very peaceful and quiet. Hot tub available. Charming woodland walk.
Only a short drive to the coast.
- Garry (10/5): Fantastic accommodation with Fantastic hosts… - You will love it….Hosts are fantastic.
Great barn conversion, lovely rooms, all you need really.. lots of parking space,
even a hot tub, nice garden to relax in with tables & chairs for all to use.
Communal lounge (comfy sofa’s) tv too… communal kitchen with tea/coffee making facilities..
The included breakfast is first class with a large choice cooked for you while you wait, cereal, yogurt & fruit juice too. For the sake of not sounding like a fake reviewer….A few cobwebs , It would have been nice to see leaflets for attractions / places of interest, for all to use for directions / reference to help with the spelling’s (road signs) of the Welsh language …but that’s it.
The hosts are a lovely couple, their only interest was to make our stay as nice as possible and they succeeded in that…
- Mila (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neil (9/5): The owners were knowledgeable and friendly. We had a wonderful time. - Everything. The room and kitchen facilities were flawless, as well as bathroom. The bed was was very comfortable.
On the kitchen guests may make coffee and tea and even hot chocolate. There is a fridge which you are allowed to use and a toaster.
A beautiful scenery around the property makes you feel relaxed. You shall try a walking path and see where it goes.
Chicken are funny. It was a bit cold in the house.
- Julie (9/5): Superb - lots of choice and great quality, nothing too much trouble NA
- Tamara (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly couple who run the B&B and the grounds are just beautiful
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional - Alwyn and Awen were excellent hosts. Both were very kind and hospitable. The breakfast served each morning was fresh and plentiful. The place itself on the farm was so idyllic and peaceful.
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this b and b to anyone if you are looking for a wonderful stay in a beautiful setting.
- O'connor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruth (10/5): Wonderful, if in the area again we would certainly re book. - Friendly efficient service. Our hosts were really friendly and their service exceptional
- Clive (8/5): Very good - lovely old farm setting, quiet location, nice barn conversion accommodation, comfortable room with good shared lounge and kitchen nothing
- Helen (9/5): A tranquil stay with wonderful hosts -thank you! - We had a brilliant stay with Alwyn and Awen, who could have not been friendlier or more helpful. The breakfast was superb with juice, cereals, fruit, yogurt, cooked breakfast and toast with plenty of hot drinks. We were able to help ourselves to hot drinks at any time and there was freshly made cake waiting for us. The bed was a little firm for our liking, but this is a personal thing.
- Alan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (9/5): Beautiful escape to the country side - Loved the location. friendly and welcoming hosts. Best breakfast choices I’ve ever had in a B&B. Comfy bed and modern bathroom. would love to stay again when revisiting wales Nothing
- Vignesh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lindsay (9/5): Superb - The owners of the property were very welcoming and accommodating - we needed to change our dates and we were able to do so at fairly short notice. The property is in a quiet and beautiful spot in the countryside with easy access to many places of interest including the area's beautiful beaches. We enjoyed our weekend stay.
- Owen (10/5): Exceptional - Welcoming and friendly owners beautiful building amazing views and excellent service
- Ken (9/5): Superb - Peace and quiet. Relaxing time and able to come and go as you please.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Keith (9/5): Brilliant, as with two previous visits. - Alwyn and Awen are extremely thoughtful and considerate hosts. The setting of the working farm that Rhostwarch is part of is exceptionally beautiful and peaceful. The rooms are comfortable and well-designed. Facilites include a (free) hot tub and the farm's own nature conservation area and trail. The breakfasts are excellent, with plenty of choice: and the dining area is accessible and available for the guests to make themselves tea/coffee etc. It is really difficult to think of much that could be improved upon. The trck to the farm used to be fairly rough in places (first visit some while ago), but it has been carefully improved recently.
- Sheila (9/5): Superb -
- Hope (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kazrose111 (10/5): Exceptional - The couple that run the place were amazing and so friendly, the place was amazing scenery was beautiful. The rooms were clean and smelled fresh. The breakfast was the best we had in a hotel or b&b so take time to go here

- Deepak (9/5): Superb - Excellent, customised breakfast
- Janie (10/5): loved our stay !! As mentioned just a very small thing needed which is a full length mirror. - Everything and the owners
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional - Exactly as described. Wonderful location, very clean and great hosts
- Anonymous (9/5): I really enjoyed my time at roostwarch, the couple that run the place were really friendly and very welcoming, I would d - the location of the property had lovely scenery,
it was all so very peaceful, no noise from traffic, only the sounds of nature I only have a couple of niggles, the mattress on the bed was a little hard,
and also the hot tub water had an unpleasant smell coming from it
- Elizabeth (10/5): Our stay in Rhostwarch was a cherry on the cake of our journey down memory lane. - The location had personal reference to us. The hosts were very welcoming and pleasant at all times. We were provided with an excellent service and the facilities exceeded our expectations.
- Becca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leonora (9/5): A lovely B & B with great hosts, in a fabulous countryside location. - The location was wonderful. In the heart of the countryside, but with easy access to the glorious coastline. The breakfast was fabulous.
There were lovely generous public areas as well as the bedroom, which wasn't the biggest but was very nicely appointed. The room managed to be pretty cool despite being in the middle of the heatwave!
And I just wish I'd had more time to go on a local walk and to try the hot tub!! (In the end it felt a bit hot for the hot tub!!). If I was being REALLY picky, the only thing I would say is that the room I was in was not very big. But see above re the public areas.
- Nigel (9/5): Lovely Stress free Holiday - Lovely Helpful Hosts Great Breakfast Good Farm Location Lovely Beaches Nothing Really Had a great week
Would Use Again
