Posizione ottima vicino c’è anche un benzinaio in caso servisse. Posto pulitissimo vale ogni centesimo speso. La cucina ben fornita (mancava solo lo scolapasta). Nulla, tutto perfetto

The windows were amazing and being separate from the other cabins was great! The only thing I say is a sofa would be amazing to snuggle up on In the lounge

Der Blick von der Straße direkt in die Unterkunft war etwas unangenehm tagsüber möchte man nicht verdunkeln. Aufhängemöglichkeiten in Bad und Schlafzimmer haben gefehlt. Bett ist etwas schmal.

• Shellie (10/5): Small but lovely cottage in great location. - Located just around the corner from the stunning canyon I wanted to visit. Everything was great.
• Nancy (10/5): Clean, comfy quarters in a stunning location - The location was simply jaw-dropping. It has its own waterfall (at least after a rain!). Mountains and lava fields complete the surroundings. The cabin is well designed, clean, and cozy, and the kitchen equipment met our needs. We loved the picture windows, which also included blackout shades for the sunlit nights. The tiny refrigerator features a freezer, which was a nice amenity for travelers -- like us -- who carry blue ice for a small cooler. If you want to experience the Icelandic wilderness experience, there is no better place! I wish it had been furnished with a loveseat or sofa and small coffee table instead of two chairs and an end table, but that's a small quibble. Otherwise, it was one of our favorite spots in our 16-day adventure.

• Heike (9/5): Very comfortable 2 room cabin in a magical surrounding - Very comfortable cabin- we liked to have 2 separate rooms. A living room with reading chairs and a view to the mountains and a waterfall, and a separate bedroom. Everything was very new and high value, the bathroom is super new and comfortable and has a big size. There is even a dishwasher in the kitchen. The surrounding is magical, a lava field, waterfalls, green mountains and a famous canyon is just around.. There is a street to the canyons visible from living room. You can’t hear it through the windows- and the living room is to the canyon/river sound, so no noise at all. The main door to the cabin lacks blackout shades, so you need to close the bedroom door for sleeping in summer. It can get very hot when the sun shines in, but it cools down when windows are open.

• Rivka (10/5): Staying at Maddis was the best days of our vacation - everything was perfect, from the magical location to the place itself, the facilities, it feels like the hosts thought of everything to make the stay perfect, and the host are super nice and aproachable. Everything was really perfect.

Will definitely come back. <3 - It is the perfect tiny cottage for solo travelers, couples or for small family of 3 who likes nature and to get away from all the chaos from the city. Cottage included everything even a little dish washer and a conventional oven. Loved how small but it had everything you need. Also it was very easy to get there and check in even in the winter and after getting dark outside. They even plowed the snow out right upto the door step early in the morning so we could easily drive in thick snow. The host was really sweet to leave us some chocolate wafers which I loved and now I am taking a whole bunch back home for sure. :) The best part is we were extremely lucky to see Aurora/ Northern Lights show on our first night itself in the cottage. Literally loved everything about it. Nothing to complain.

• Sarah (10/5): Fantastic stay and would highly recommend on your next visit. - The location is perfect and we loved the view from the cabins! Cabin is very spacious and had plenty of room. Very clean, easy check in process, and beautiful location! Very close to a farm to table restaurant on the hill highly recommend! The bed was uncomfortable and we did not know how to use the lock on the door at first.
• Jillian (5/5): Amazingly well-designed unit, just upgrade the bed! - The Maddis units are exceptionally well designed and appointed with nearly everything you need for a night in after exploring Iceland. We loved the living room/kitchen space with its full sized windows, the black out curtains, overall Scandinavian design aesthetic, and the opportunity to see some stunning Northern Lights just steps out the door! The unit was very clean too which was appreciated. Despite how amazing so much of our stay was, the unit (Maddis 4) we stayed in had an atrociously uncomfortable bed and we slept terribly. The bed alone pushed what would’ve been an easy five star review down to a three. We are still glad that we stayed as we saw spectacular Northern Lights and the rest of the unit is well designed for overnight guests but the beds really do need to be upgraded immediately-the only (very major miss) of our experience staying at Maddis. When the beds are upgraded, this will be amazing accommodation along the Ring Road!
• On (10/5): The best accommodation in the one stayed along our trip in Iceland - Very modern, compact but well equipped for comfortable stay. May alert users how the door can be locked & unlocked as some foreign travellers not use the Iceland common lock before

• Dace (8/5): A lovely cottage by a river - The chalets are all new and made of quality materials. A big living room with big windows (facing a road though) but still impressive to watch nature. Just next to river with a waterfall if it has been raining a lot. Clean. Great communication with owners. The bed is very small and not of a good quality. Easy to get your head hit with a metal night table as it is just next. No toaster, no paper towels. No sofa but two chairs instead. No curtain for the main entrance door. No Tv/ Netflix. Low pressure in the shower. Could not figure how to turn on the heating. Check in only after 17:00.
