Guest Reviews
- Juan G (10/5): - It was a good experience I really recommend for short term…so easy
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice room, quiet - Nice room. Not noisy.
- Nazli (2/5): - Horrible to stay here.
- Graziella (8/5): Correct - Chambre petite. Rénovée. Propre
- JACQUELINE (10/5): - Excelent customer service from Mirko( front desk) and Lourdes from the breakfast lounge. Very friendly staff . Convenient location .
- giovanna (6/5): - Estava sujo
- Heather (6/5): Clean, spartan stay - Hotel review – I stayed here twice - once on the way in and once on the way out (different rooms, a triple and a single). The rooms are pretty clean. There’s nowhere to put anything in the bathrooms, which is pretty normal in this area. Triple room had a bathtub, single a small shower box.
While each room has an air conditioning box, they really don’t get below 80°. If you’re in a room facing the street, you can open the windows and get a breeze, but that comes with a lot of noise and mosquitoes. I got chewed up the first night I was here. The single room is an internal room looking out on a roof. It is definitely quieter, but there’s no breeze.
There is no Wi-Fi. Seriously. Also, the rooms "have" hair dryers, which work for 30 seconds before shutting off and needing ten min to recalibrate.
The hotel stores bags during the day, so the lobby can be quite crowded and chaotic. Also, the checkout is earlier than standard (it’s now 10 here; they'll store your bags free till noon, then €12).
This is reasonably priced for the area, but the neighborhood is definitely dodgy after dark. It is super convenient to Termini station if you have a lot of luggage.
- Jose (6/5): - Great location in the city, with easy access to everything we wanted to see, for a reasonable price. Difficult to find, as the name on the front awning of the hotel is “The Mirage,” and not “Hotel Tiche.” Also, the address is number 4, not number 6 as stated on the listing. Could find nothing on the property that matched the photos in the listing. Hotel staff were not particularly courteous or friendly, although some of the younger kids were helpful with bus and subway schedules, and recommendations for how to get to points of interest. We were challenged every time we entered and asked where we were going, no staff members seemed to recognize us or dem we that we were checked in at their hotel. Breakfast was nothing exciting, or even cooked, but it was food.
- Boon Ong (4/5): - Totally no wifi connection at all
- Abdelouahed (10/5): - Leuke accommodatie vlakbij station en kamer super schoon
- Nickole (2/5): BEWARE,the pictures look nothing like the hotel! - From not being able to find the hotel due to the name Tiche not being on the outside of the building, to the horrible room conditions/cleanliness/amenities, this experience was horrible. Upon finding bedbugs, my husband and I immediately checked out. The staff at the front desk didn't even care that we were leaving just 15 minutes after checking in.
- Hayden (6/5): - Buffet women is nice at all
- Verified traveler (6/5): Spartan but functional - surly service though - Pretty Spartan but convenient to stay. Solo female traveler – no issues with safety. The lift worked. Front desk manned 24 hours.
I did inquire before my departure about whether a refund was possible because my job provided a room at the conference hotel. Received a message saying it wasn’t possible because stay was booked and prepaid on hotels – that query somehow canceled the entire reservation. When I arrived, they had room, but the front desk man was discombobulated and angry by the issue. Not the best welcome to Rome.
- GEORGIOS (10/5): Limited breakfast - Do not get the option (pay at the hotel) because you will be asked to pay cash. Also if you store your luggage you will pay extra Cash Only. Room and people are pleasant and eager to serve you. Breakfast is limited to 1 coffee, 1 sandwich, 1 yogurt, croissant. NO REFILL.
- Verified traveler (6/5): “Hotel Mirage” - location great but thin walls.. - First off this place is not called “Tiche”. No clue why it is called that on Hotels.com. Luckily we just looked at the photos and realized it’s called “Hotel Mirage”.
The staff were friendly and no complaints there! The room was clean, but the walls were thin. Neighbors showed up one night at 3am very loud waking us up. At 5am you hear traffic in the city and people honking horns. The bathroom we had did not have a proper door. Just a sliding door with some gaps. You had no sense of privacy when using the bathroom. The bed was a bit hard and the pillows were very thin. Woke up with neck pain. The included breakfast was a bit underwhelming, but nice to start the day off with a nice cup of cappuccino.
The mini fridge in the room was nice and the location next to the main station you can not beat!
- Beverley (10/5): Great little place. - Lovely people, very helpful and the room was just what needed. Near by supermarket and within feet of the termini. Amazing stay and we very much enjoyed my birthday. The recomendation for food was spot on too. Thank you very much
- Sabiha (4/5): - It’s an apartment so heating wasn’t controlled by us. Late night they would start the heat but later room gets cold. Everything is very close from here. Roma termini is just cross street. We took uber mostly, and didn’t take us long to reach to major attractions.
- Luiz Felipe (4/5): Hotel Simples - Hotel bem simples, acomodações simples, fomos bem atendidos no check in.
- Himadri (6/5): Very good location - Location is the best thing. Entry thru Mirage Hotel
Limpieza mala, cama incomoda.
Malo relacion calidad precio
- arnulfo (10/5): Bueno, bien ubicado, comodo y economico - Todo bien. Bien ubicado cerca a Termini. Buen servicio, habitación comoda y el desayuno bueno.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible - To begin with, the hotel does not have that name. It is a lie. You arrive at the hotel and the name of the hotel is different. What is the reason? What are they trying to hide? The question remains. The breakfast is horrible. And to make matters worse, the hotel forces you to pay the city tax in cash. This does not happen in all hotels in Rome and throughout Italy. I was unsure whether the tax was actually being paid. I did not have cash. I went to ask and the staff were extremely rude to me.
- Luciane (10/5): - It was awesome my stay in this hotel!! Just loved it!!
- Gianluca (4/5): - The breakfast was a very poor choice - I don’t recommend it. Also when i got trapped in the lift the guy who freed me blamed me for it breaking it and didn't even ask if I was okay!
- Miguel (8/5): - All good, clean rooms and conveniently close to the train station
- Martha (10/5): - Name is not what we booked with Expedia. Walked by it 3 times before we found it!
