• Zsuzsanna (10/5): - Hangulatos, jól felszerelt, szép apartman, kiváló helyen. A 84 lépcsőn való feljutás nehéz lehet annak, aki nincs hozzászokva, vagy nehéz bőröndöt cipel. Az udvarban valamilyen gép folyamatos berregése nagyon hangos, ami lehetetlenné teszi a nyitott ablaknál való alvást, es mivel az egyik hálószobában nincs klíma, a nagy melegben ez kellemetlen lehet.

• Norbert (9/5): Sehr schöner Aufenthalt auf Sizilien. - Das Appartement liegt sehr zentral und verfügt über alles, was man für einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt braucht. Außerdem liegt es sehr nahe an einem öffentlichen Parkplatz, auf dem wir immer einen Platz gefunden haben. Im Umkreis der Wohnung gibt es auch zahlreiche und gute Restaurants. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fussläufig sehr gut erreichbar. Wir wussten, dass die Wohnung im 4. Stock liegt und sie nur über eine Treppe erreichbar ist. Zum Glück mussten wir den Weg mit den Koffern nur 2 Mal bewältigen.

• Jayne (4/5): Overall if the apartment was on the 1st floor I would highly recommend. Also suggest you put that 87 steps in bold and - Clean location was good Found the 87 steps to climb a surprise, As they were hidden in the property description. They were a challenge even without heavy luggage each time. There is no handrail past the 1st floor and they were dark (light switch near the top wouldn’t switch on had to use flashlight on my phone to navigate) big safety issue. Only handheld shower head worked overhead wouldn’t turn on. Washing machine door was difficult to open had to look up online hints on how to unstick the door.
• marine (5/5): Central & practical - Decoration is simple and modern. The place is well equipped. The location is very central. A strong, bad smell upon entering due to the bathroom wall, which is rotting. There is a general sense that the place needs more love and care. For example, when you see the bare nails on the walls where some art used to hang, but was not replaced. Or the fact that the guest's info book is dirty.

• Catherine (5/5): - Spacious apartment with lots of room for family of three. Centrally located so convenient walk to many parts of the city. Since the apt is on the top floor, it was pretty quiet even though the pedestrian street was active. 1. Four flight walk up (89 steps) got old after a few times. 2. Listing says parking is available, but this is NOT true. Ventisei is on a pedestrian street in old town and not accessible by car. We asked the host several times about where to park and they finally answered that we just have to look for something nearby. We eventually found a lot not too far away in the Parcheggio Borsellino. 3. The air conditioning broke halfway through our stay. The host was responsive, but it could not be fixed for the rest of our stay because a part had to be ordered :(.

• K M (7/5): Interesting place, quite an ordeal to access - The location was in an interesting area of Catania. The directions given for arrival were very clear, but the taxi couldn’t figure out how to (or didn’t want to) drive very close, so we had to walk and ask for directions a couple of times. The duomo, street markets, proximity to restaurants and entertainment were all easy to get to- although walking around at night was a little bit unnerving. The entire city seemed to be tagged with graffiti and we were unsure how safe it was at night. There were 87 extremely worn , narrow and winding stairs to get to the apartment. The owner was kind enough to provide a large bottle of water and a nice bottle of wine as a “reward” for climbing those stairs. There was a washing machine in the unit, which upon use, held our clothes hostage- the door would not unlock once the laundry stopped. The management was very easy to get ahold of, and they eventually were able to retrieve the clothes and provide a drying rack, but it was rather stressful. The apartment opened into a courtyard that had some very noisy occupants- welding and scraping metal early in the morning- however management was very prompt to take care of that.
• SR (1/5): - Nothing The access to the room was really horrible. There were 4 flights of very small dark and dangerous stairs to climb, and there was no help. The location was scary and not safe. We couldn't stay there and wasted our money and had to look for another more convenient and safe place to stay.

• JANET (8/5): Nice location with some challenges - Location is perfect for short stay in Catania. Large with 2 bedrooms & nice sized bathroom. Kitchen. It’s 5 stories up and 87 steps, which we knew about. However, the stairs are “historic” meaning uneven, narrow winding, some floors had limited hand railing. You had to switch a light on for every floor which were timed (so hurry!). Not insurmountable but be aware. Being 5 floors up, despite pleasant weather, it was hot. AC consists of 2 mini-splits. One in bedroom, one in hallway. So 2nd bedroom gets hot. An oscillating fan was provided. We had a night without AC and we were told by the contact that “it’s a rental not a hotel with maintenance” . We’re pretty self sufficient but really? The AC did get fixed.

• Roland (10/5): Das Apartment ist modern und minimalistisch eingerichtet, sehr gemütlich mit einer großen, top ausgestatteten Küche und - Das Apartment ist sehr schön, modern und minimalistisch aufgebaut, man fühlt sich von Anfang an wie zuhause. Die Küche ist groß und bestens ausgestattet (Waschmaschine, Geschirrspüler, Kühlschrank, Backofen) und bietet viel Platz zum Kochen. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und sorgen für erholsamen Schlaf. Grundsätzlich hat alles gepasst, es war alles vorhanden, was man braucht.

• Neeraj (8/5): Very good - Location is just great, heart of city center, very clean with all amenities We understand that elevator is not possible as it is old and historic building but They should mention during booking process that property is at 4th Floor patio and one need to take 87 narrow steps to reach at property. We being family travellers having 2 kids, needed to take all our 4 bags up. It was extremely difficult. Also, washing machine is without dryer so needed to search for nearby laundry.

Providing one key isn’t ideal, especially when you are two couples. It meant we need to spend far too much time coordinating access. It makes sense for a family, I get that.
• Craig (10/5): We would definitely stay here again when we return. - Great owners, location and very clean and impressive rooms. Nothing bad really. There are a few stairs, which we already knew about, so just be sure you are fit and able to get up and down ok, especially with your bags. That said absolutely loved the place.

Owner fixed cold water problem within 2 hours. No airconditioning in second bedroom. Not all problems with water fixed during our stay. Not English speaking.

• Natalie (7/5): A beautiful apartment if you have light luggage - This is a beautiful and well appointed apartment. The location is excellent, and the apartment is lovely! The restaurant downstairs Tantikkia was fantastic- the best we had during our stay. The property managers tried to assist as best as they could but a porter on entry and exit would make this experience wonderful. The 84 stairs to get there is a huge challenge whether you have 1 bag or 6 it’s lot of stairs that are uneven in an old building. It would be awesome if there could be a porter service offered - even at a charge. There is also aircon in only 1 bedroom. We did ask for a fan and received it on the second day. That was a big help with airflow. In winter and cooler months I’m sure it will be fine but with the summer heat Aircon is needed. They also need to allow guests to adjust the temperature below 21 degrees. It was preset and couldn’t be changed.

• Roberta (10/5): Wonderful apartment, made our stay more enjoyable - The apartment is beautiful, well furnished and tastefully decorated. Modern furnishings, all the appliances and utensils needed if you want to cook (which we did). We were welcomed with a brilliant welcome pack, one of the best I have seen and a lovely bottle of wine (with thanks). It is located in a street which has a regular daily market (fresh fruit, vegetables and sea food) and a really nice selection of restaurants. A few minutes walk will take you to the main square, fish market or castle, so it is an ideal location for sightseeing. I was poorly on one day, so it meant I was bed bound, but luckily I had a TV which could login to my Netflix & Prime account! A fantastic apartment, one which we would happily book again if visiting Catania. Just an observation from our stay, as the apartment is located in a street with the market and restaurants, if you wanted an afternoon snooze / nap, you will probably struggle as the noise from the restaurants emptying their bins or just staff talking can be very loud with the windows open (which we did have open for fresh air). We had no issue with the stairs, but just prepare yourself if you have one or more 20kg plus suitcase to take up (you will need some muscles....mine was called Brad!).

• Karamelko (10/5): We enjoyed our stay - The apartment is in a very convenient location. Clean and cozy, perfect for a family with one or two children. There is everything you need in the kitchen. The apartment is on the fourth floor and there are many stairs to climb.
• Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is very nicely furnished with great love for details. We all felt very comfortable there. It is in a very busy street though, so it might not be quiet in summer (we were there over Easter when it is generally quiet), but on the other hand there are lots of restaurants next door. The restaurant downstairs was excellent.

• Elena (8/5): Overall a nice place - Nice apartment in the heart of the city, it’s bright, clean and calm. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped so you can cook your own meals with the products from the nearby market. The bottle of wine was nice compliment. The air conditioner in the big bedroom is very loud and we didn’t use it at all because it was impossible to sleep. There is a coffee machine in the kitchen but there are no capsules that match it, we informed the host for the problem but the answer was “try again”. It’s not a big deal but it felt inhospitable.
• Renata (10/5): It was excellent, the apartment is beautiful and in the great location. - Everything! The property is immaculate. Lovely, modern deco, the kitchen is very well equipped including coffee machine, coffee and tea, olive oil, sugar, salt, pepper etc. The beds are super comfy, the bathroom is beautiful, the towels are very good quality. The apartment is very clean, light,bright colours. It has this lovely homely feeling. On the arrival, there was a bottle of red wine welcoming us which was a very nice gesture from the host. We had a small issue with the electricity, contacted the host, the respond was immediate and the issue was sorted out. We were very pleased with the apartment, the location and the hosts. I would happily visit again and recommend this accommodation. There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this property. The only thing is , that it is on the 4th floor and there is 87 steps to get to it with no lift.
• Costi (9/5): Amazing apartment in an old building in city center - The apartment is spacious, renovated, includes everything you need. Two bedrooms with confortable double beds, smart tvs and heating sources + AC units. It's perfect for 2 couples or a family with 1-2 children. The downside is that the apartment is located at the 4th floor of an old, historical building without elevator so you will need to climb 80+ stairs in a tight space.

• Sarah (10/5): Great location; clean and modern apartment - Clean and modern but in an old building added charm. The location was perfect; in the mornings you’ll step outside into fruit and vegetable markets. In the afternoon, the best restaurants in the historic district take the place of the morning market stalls. There are quite a bit of stairs leading to the 4th floor unit. I have bad knees and heavy luggage so it was a bit painful to get to with the luggage. Otherwise, we were out all day exploring Sicily so only really had to deal with them once a day when we got back. I’m not sure how to solve for the stairs issue; perhaps if I had lighter luggage it would have helped.

• Davide (9/5): Great place in the middle of town. - The flat is located in a very central location, 5 minutes from the town's local bus terminus. The area is a lively market during the day and full of eateries and pubs during the night. Luckily the flat's window faces the internal courtyard, this guarantees peace and quiet. The flat is very very clean and has everything you need for your stay. Very happy indeed. At the end of your stay you'll have to build up your legs muscles by going up and down the 4 floors. Going down the stairs at night can be a bit risky as the second floor s light does not turn on by using the button on the walls you'll have to reach the 1st floor to turn it on, which works well going upward. Also rubbish collection can be a bit of a problem as only one bin is provided and Catania has a mysterious recycling policy.
• Joelle (10/5): A gorgeous stay in Catania city centre - We loved this apartment! Really clean and comfy stay in an amazing location. All the main attractions in Catania were a 10 minute walk away and the airport and main train station are a 10 minute taxi away. The aircon in the flat is silent and very effective - lovely and refreshing when coming in from a hot day of sight seeing! Shower gel, hand soap and shampoo is provided, along with washing up liquid, teabags, oil, salt and coffee pods. A perfect stay. The second bedroom doesn’t have aircon but a tower fan is provided. If you sleep with the door cracked open, the rest of the flat does help to keep the room cool.
• Sura (10/5): Exceptional - It was the perfect place from all points of view, location, comfort, cleanliness. Rarely does the reality look better than the pictures. The market, the restaurants on that street add value to the location. Even if you have to climb the 87 stairs, you are always left with the best impression of the moments spent in this apartment. Congratulations to the hosts and I really appreciate their receptivity.
• Viktor (10/5): Wonderful place to stay in Catania - This apartment is amazingly located, in the morning there is a lively market right downstairs and in the afternoon/evening, it's lined with great restaurants all along the street. The area is safe and convenient. The facilities are excellent, you have everything you may need. The host goes above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable. All the main sights are walking distance and there is even a book from the host outlining the recommended places to visit and restaurants nearby. Would definitely visit again! This was mentioned in the listing, but it's on the fourth floor with no elevator and the car parking is about a 5-10 minute walk. Not a problem, but just need to plan ahead if you have a lot of luggage. The parking was secure and cheap, we were able to leave extra luggage in the car without issue.

• Mirto (9/5): The best choice but without lift! - The best location in whole town, in the middle of all sightseeing points and of all restaurants, very nice and comfort apartment, very clean. The bed and the pillows are great. The kitchen is equipped with everything you want (oil, salt, plates etc). The owner is very kind and answer immediately in our questions. It’s the best choice for a couple without children. It is not a good idea for families with small children, because the apartment is in 4th floor with no lift and with old and dangerous stairs. Although the apartment was very clean when we arrive, nobody come to clean in our whole stay there (4 nights).

• Olga (10/5): I couldn't recommend it more 😍 - The apartment is super clean and very well prepared, it looks exactly as on photos! There is a lot of small things that we enjoyed very much, like the Sicilian cooking book and a guide book (made by the host) that contains many great recommendations of what is worth seeing and where to eat a delicious meal. I honestly can say that this guide "organized" our while trip. Everything works fine in the apartment and is very aesthetic, I fell in love with little espresso cups 😍 Also the localization couldn't be better, it's almost the main square of the Catania. I loved the time we spent here!
